Good food and Large selection on the bar. The only odd thing about this place is they way they prices Buffet To Go, it is too complicated and over pricing. They have different price for to go buffet. Lunch price had gone up quite a bit!

Met some peoples here for a lunch, it’s a bit of a trek for me to go to the Bel-Red area from where I live, so I was hoping this place would be worth it. Came here for lunch on a weekend and plenty of tables were available, just tell them how many in your party, they will take you to the table, place drink order, then you can have at it at the buffet stations. Food looked ok so I just got a little of this & that etc… Round 1, I took a few bites of each item and didn’t really like it and it was just bleh. Picked at it for a bit, so I decided that it may have been a poor choice on my end thought I’d go for round 2 and really load it up thinking it will be better… again…picked at it and bleh. There was only a few things that I liked, the green beans, beef & broccoli and that’s about it. It seemed like some items were warmed up and stir fried up from the night before because it was just extremely overcooked and dried out like the Sesame Chicken, that chicken was so tough. Other items were just super weak with no filling inside the baos, dim sum meat looked a little sketch, sushi items were falling apart, even the dessert was a bit weak, the soft serve tasted like powdered milk, fruit from a can etc. Pricing was pretty high for lunch buffet for $ 20, wasn’t much of any service, had to go up to the drink station ourselves to ask someone back there for refills etc. Overall, it was pretty bleh.

I’ve never felt so disgusted from eating at any Asian buffet. This place made me gag. Yeah, for far it looks good, but once you get close, it looks old and doesn’t taste good. Only thing descent was the steak that was cooked for you upon order at the grill. The soda, Sierra Mist tasted like crap. Never again.

Probably the cheapest buffet around for its wide variety of selections. They have a grill & noodle soup station. Many many selections on sushi & sashimi. Chinese food ranging from fresh raw oysters, crab, honey Walmart shrimp, a few dim sum items like sui mai, chicken feet, shao long bao(which was alright), green beans, chow mein and fried rice. Desserts are different every day, but my favorite is the flan and cheesecake. Fruits ranges every day. You cannot go wrong with this place. Servers are quick at taking your old plates away. Everything is tasty & fresh! For its reasonable price and huge selection, I recommend you giving this place a try!

We hadn’t been in a couple years, but one of my daughters and I stopped here tonight. There was NOTHING that tasted good. I am serious. The Mongolian in the middle? No sauces on it. Even dousing with soy didn’t give it flavor. My daughters plate had some flavor to it, so she ate hers. Some of the dim sum bites? I took a second, maybe even a third bite, then left the rest. Soup. Yuck. All the way home and since my stomach has just roiled. It was plain icky. The one thing that tasted fairly good was the potstickers. But they had no dipping sauces for them. The worst was as I was paying the $ 40 bill(yes, $ 20/each for a buffet), I told her that I had eaten hardly anything because the food was so bad. «Oh! I am so sorry!» Ka ching. Any other restaurant where you leave having turned away more food than you ate would have discounted at least one of meals. Nope.

Went here for lunch. Not too busy, seated quickly. I’ve been to many buffets on the east coast. I love orange, sesame, or general tsos chicken. Their version was pretty flavorless and dry. The chicken quality was poor. The buffet seemed strange, like it hasn’t been cleaned often. If you look into the kitchen, it looks pretty nasty. We complained about the chicken and they took an entrée off, which is good since it was pretty overpriced at nearly $ 15 per person. The clientele is mostly older folks and foreigners, and many of the dishes are quite«authentic» but honestly look the worst of all. Parking can be tricky since many of the spots are reserved by other stores in the lot.

Decent selection of dishes but all very good. Sushi is FRESH and made on the spot and VERY good. Good value too. Parking is sometimes a pain on weekends due to the popularity of the place. We brought guests from Vancouver B.C. who were also pretty impressed(for a buffet) given that the best Chinese restaurants in North America are in the Vancouver/Richmond B.C. area IMO. I’ve been to Mandarin many times over the years and have never been disappointed.

It has a wonderful selection of seafood. The Chinese dishes are average. The waitress is very nice. Overall, it was a great experience.

The one thing that really gets me about this place is that a lot of the food that should be hot, is not hot. I dont go often, but when I do I am pleased with the selection of food, and the cost but every visit I encounter multiple dishes without proper heating. Desert and salad bar is great and empty dishes are cleaned from the table very promptly. Getting seated and checking out is also a breeze. Definitely a good spot to get tons of grub at a cheap price and there are options available for everyone. They even have some american-ish foods for people who dont like getting too crazy with their food selections.

Value for money on a week day lunch buffet. Extra ordinary variety of spreads available . Their deserts were not 100% impressive but they weren’t bad. Their salsas, soups, starters and main course we’re really good and had authentic Chinese taste. It’s definitely worth to try the Chinese food here

I was here at 3:00 on a Friday this time, and the person who seated us helpfully let us know that they were closing at 4:00, which I wasn’t previously aware of. The sushi selection was pretty dismal, and they probably weren’t putting out anything new since they were closing soon. I really missed the eel nigiri. I was also disappointed that the pizza was burnt, since it’s usually one of their best items; and they didn’t replace it the entire time I was there. There were a few things I hadn’t seen before, though, like steamed cornbread, custard dumplings, delicious egg tarts, excellent Chinese donuts, and seafood rice noodles. The pork dumplings were particularly good, and I normally don’t even like those.

I know, I know. Chinese buffet. Did I really expect the food to be good? Well, it isn’t. Would have been ok but this is not a cheap buffet either. The sushi was not fresh at all. The cooked fish was overcooked. Seriously, I was worried about food poisoning. Actually, my son did lose it but I think that had more to do with how much he ate than anything else. If you want a decent seafood buffet, do NOT come here. Go to Haiku instead. The quality of the food there is at least double(which may not be saying much admittedly) and the variety is much, much better. Plus, they seem to restock their stations a bit better too. Not worth the money.

Typical Chinese buffet with a huge selection of guilt-inducing goodies, sushi, and Mongolian grill. Nothing stood out as incredible, but it seemed the foods were of decent quality for a buffet. Some items were too salty, some were too bland, but there were some that were actually pretty good. If you’re looking to just eat as much as you can of Chinese food, this is the place to go on the Eastside.

It’s pretty much fresh fresh everythang here, especially the seafood. Got a whole ton of mussels, clams, and crawfish that made the dinner price really worth it. Their sushi is average, and they don’t make anything particularly special. The typical chinese food dishes weren’t overly salty or greasy and had enough variety to not have to repeat plate after plate. Overall, pretty good place with something for everyone.

As a person with a VERY healthy appetite, I am a sucker for all-you-can-eat situations. What’s difficult is finding a buffet where the food is fresh and there’s enough variety to keep you from eating the same dish over and over again. Mandarin Buffet is definitely a good one as far as buffets go. They have a huge variety of food – not all of it is awesome but it’s certainly more hit than miss. I didn’t feel like the food was overly salty, and the Mongolian Grill section of the buffet allows you to make your own dish, in a way. I even tried their oysters, which can be a risky move at a buffet, but was pleasantly surprised – they were plump, fresh, and pretty tasty! And I did not experience any… digestive repercussions. Overall, if you’re looking to stuff your face with Asian food then this is a pretty good option.

For $ 11.99 the price is borderline. Plates and servings are small and the food is low quality… we’re talking fatty meats and what has to be cheap ingredients. The food just feels and tastes cheap. But, it’s a buffet, so the tiny plates don’t mean a whole lot when they’re unlimited. The Mongolian grill is a nice feature and the variety means you won’t get bored. Not terrible. Not good. But good enough.

I like this spot. A nice variety of dishes and the quality is reasonably good for a buffet — sushi, Chinese steam table fare, soups, salads, desserts, and a Mongolian grill, where you pick the ingredients and the chef stir-fries it for you. Most things that I’ve tried taste good — not an automatic in a buffet. Price has crept up a little bit, but is still quite reasonable, especially at lunch. Wait staff is pretty attentive for a buffet. Restaurant is decent inside, though not special. Location is in a strip mall with free parking. The lot is certainly big enough, but finding a place to park can be difficult during busy hours. Tip: consider driving around to the parking in the back, where there is another entrance.

What not to like about this buffet place. The price is cheap enough to beg you to come back more and more. the location is convenient and the food is pretty good and fresh. They have varieties of items, sushi, dim sum, different kind of salads, hibachi grill, seafood«clams, shrimp, oyster, and dessert area includes chocolate fountain, fresh fruits, ice cream, cakes… From the outside, I wasn’t expecting too much, but once inside I was pleasantly surprised! This place is spacious and there’s plenty of seating to choose from whether it be a table or booth and looks like a great place to bring a group. They do have private area for large group. They can easily fit 400 people in this place. The parking lot in the front is alway full but you can drive to the back and there are plenty of spaces. The staff is friendly and are quick to clear out your table of used plates and even often to refill your drinks. Overall this is a good buffet and it is one of my family favorite beside Mizuki and Blue Fin.

Very surprised with this place! I went to lunch with my mom so it was her pick and she brings me here. At first I wasn’t very excited it looks sketchy, but once inside it looked yummy and decent. The food was delicious, the steamed buns do taste a bit watery. Sushi was okay! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for something good and at a great price!

GREAT food for the price. $ 8.99 lunch buffet. Very good selection. Asian and also some chicken nuggets and fries for those who want some American. Great dessert/fresh fruit section and ice cream just like Old Country Buffet!
