Cuca’s Mexican Food

They were very nice here and I enjoyed their freshly made chips. I ended up ordering the Taquito Burrito which wasn’t as good as I hoped because the cheese didn’t melt and the chicken in the taquito was very dry. Good services, a little on the pricy side. It was around $ 11 for just a burrito, no sides.

The service and food were good. It would have been 5 stars if my carne asada was marinated in more than butter. I can still taste butter in my mouth. That aside though the portions were a good size, the meat was moist and not fatty and the ambiance is cool. If I’m in the area again I’ll come back.

UPDATE: 30 minutes later and my mouth still is greasy with butter and my stomach is not happy. Oh well

The whole experience was terrible. They don’t answer their phones. The man who took our to go order had to be told 4 times what we wanted and they still didn’t get it right when we picked it up. The enchiladas were so salty we couldn’t eat them and the enchilada sauce was an abomination. Will never ever go there again. We called the manager there and he was a lame excuse all over again. I didn’t want anything for free. just wanted him to listen. The place has gone to a big fat zero! I wouldn’t even give them one star.

Decent Mexican food, decent price, friendly staff. They don’t carry Laker games though!

I didn’t really ever think I would have a complaint but this concerns the online ordering service… I placed my order at 6:10 call them at 6:15 and asked for a 7 o’clock pick up which they said was fine I got there at seven and they had not even started the food. The food was good as always and the girls were nice but I really think if you have a commitment for a time they should meet it. I waited almost 15 minutes for the order to be made

Lame service. Everything took too long and waitress charged for itemy we never ordered. :(

We are regulars of Cuca’s. I typically order the Tostada salad. Tonight, my husband and I went to dinner and we each ordered the Tostada salad with no shell. The service was fast and the food was good. We also ordered one drink each (a double vanilla vodka with Club soda). The drinks were served in a short glass and were not overwhelmingly strong. A long Island Tea is a strong drink. When we got the bill, the two drinks were $ 27.00! I was stunned! We didn’t even get a buzz! The manager came over and explained that each shot was $ 6.75 EA! If we had gotten two shot glasses full of vodka, Maybe. That glass should have been half full of vodka and it definitely was not. We could have ordered a Long Island which would have a lot more alcohol in it for less than $ 10 ea. These little drinks were $ 13.50 each! The manager didn’t even offer a discount, just an «Im Sorry.» I’ve been in a lot fancier restaurants and paid a lot less money and gotten more alcohol. This is just plain nuts! Bottom line, if you go to this location be careful if you order any cocktails. I will probably never go back as a result of this. What a shame!

My must stop place every time I am back in Redlands. I absolutely love the wet Carne Asada burrito. Their soups are great, as well.

Ordered a taco salad went to
Pick it up. Was sitting on a table getting cold. 3 people ignored me then someone asked was I someone that needed the ones. Then next person ignores me and I just walked out didn’t get my taco salad. Last visit to cucas. Terrible

Best Mex in Redlands! I love their soups. My husband always asks if they will make a surf ‘n turf burrito for him even though it’s not on the menu and they do every time without hesitation. When we are in town to see our daughter… Cuca’s #3is a must! Thanks for great food & service!

One of my favorite local Mexican Restaurant disappointed me with menu selection. I ordered ground beef tacos that had tortilla taco shells right out a box

The server was prompt and courteous and brought menu selection. Otherwise the dining experience was very good.
Been customer for many years, however this is not like Cucas Mexican Restaurant.

My mom and I go here all the time. The food is good and comforting, the staff is really nice. We love to sit in the bar and get a skinny margarita. Tracey is really fun to have as a server. My fiancé and I also love to go for the happy hour.

I like the Americanized Mexican food. Usually good customer service. I have had Cucas catered to my work pot lucks and family events.
Pro: ordered a dozen tacos. I was 30 minutes late and the server recommended they re-​make them since they were sitting there too long. Thank you! Great Service.
Con: I ordered a medium salad off the catering menu. It said it serves 8 people, which it probably did. I was not satisfied with the price. It was 20 $ for a tray of lettuce and one tomato sliced on top.
I called the owner afterwards to discuss and he looked into it. He simply said he had never had a complaint before and that’s how much it costs. I told him that I have ordered several times in the past but I didn’t think 20 for a tray of lettuce was fair. He said he disagreed and that was it.
POOR business and customer service. I will NEVER order from Cucas again. I will take my business elsewhere.
I discussed and showed how much the salad was with my coworkers and everyone thought it was ridiculous. My total was the same as when I ordered a dozen enchiladas and a dozen tacos. I don’t understand how lettuce could be so much and how an owner would turn away a loyal customer.

I love it here. The staff is always great and the food is always delicious. The booze isn’t bad, either.

I have always been a supporter and fan of Cuca’s. Unfortunately, my latest trip to the restaurant was a little disappointing.
The service was very slow… we had been seated for almost 15 minutes and had to flag down our server just to take our order for drinks (non-​alcoholic). Service for the meal was equally as slow.
The food was adequate, but not the quality that I’ve enjoyed there in the past.

Was ok, just ordered a few burritos to go. The burritos weren’t bad but were priced a little higher than they should be for the portion, quality, and area. Gave me a little bit of a stomach ache which was odd cause I eat a lot of Mexican food usually with no problem. The ordering by phone was easy. Pick up annoyed me a bit were 2 staff at the front podium gossiping. I Waited for a break in there conversation then inquired about my order. They looked at me like I was crazy and I think one of them might of called me a cabron under his breath which got me a little pissed off but then the real hosted stepped in and she was polite and rang me up but my order wasn’t ready had to wait a bit. All and all my experience was so so. Might try them again might not nothing stood out that made me say I need to go back to this strip mall for some mediocre Mexican food tho.

Had a chance to grab a quick lunch here on a Friday afternoon. The restaurant is clean and the staff friendly, and fairly attentive. I generally do not review a restaurant based on only 1 visit but I will probably not be in the area again.
The chips that were served were ok and the salsa quite tasty, I ordered 2 chili rellenos. The style in which they were prepared was not what I would expect. The amount of cheese inside the chili was small. The chilis were served covered in chili verde sauce that I did not particularly like. Celery in chili verde? There was nothing particularly good or bad about the beans and rice on the plate.
My friend who was with me had to enchiladas and was not impressed.

Keep in mind that what I wrote as a negative was based on my personal taste and the owner/​manager made a helpful suggestion should I be in the area again. Based upon that contact and the intent to make a customer happy I will try it again when In the area!***
