Maybe I was here on an off day-and one of the barista was definitely new. A customer ordered a Breve and she had no idea what it was. But I watched a line of three customers for coffee take 20 minutes to get served. The food was okay, nothing above a diner, the coffee though was dreadful. No better than the Starbucks across the street. Again, maybe having a brand new and clearly untrained barista on the espresso machine on a Saturday was not a good call. While I’m typing this I’m watching a guy waiting for his food with a face that looks like he is about go Postal. He’s been waiting for sooo long.

I stopped in here while awaiting someone who was at the Riverview ER. I ordered eggs and bacon with a cup of coffee. I got the coffee right away but after 25 minutes, no eggs! Finally I asked the apparently new waiter to please check on my order. He came back and said the order was never put into the kitchen and would I like him to put it in now. I said no thank you I just want my money back, since I had already paid for the meal. They were very apologetic, and did readily cancel my charge. But the quality of service would not allow me to ever go back.

I love this place for so many reasons. Their menu is so fun, not the typical boring things you would see at your usual café. For example they actually have almond joy lattes!!! I’ve never even heard of this masterpiece till I sipped on one of theirs and instantly fell in love. Not to mention their huevos rancheros are delicious and any of their breakfast sandwiches !! Their staff is so friendly and attentive, every time I can go down there I do. Just love this place!

Good food. However once my friends and I paid the waitress became annoyed and started to curse under her breath! She also insulted another customer as well for having her dog outside(which was allowed). The other two waiters who were there eased the situation but this waitress was a disappointment! My friends and I will not be going back! Poor customer service on our waitresses end!

I feel like this place is going downhill in a hurry. Last 5 times I’ve been here, the baristas were all new(high turnover?). Drink quality is a total crapshoot if you get a specialty coffee. If you’re eating in, the fact that they don’t serve coffee in ceramic mugs anymore is TOTALBS, and bad for the environment. Food menu changes with the tides. I recently had a horrible breakfast, a «mexican» omelette that was slapped together and lacked any spice. Not a bad place to grab a coffee, if you must. I want to support local businesses if they put forth a good effort! But I’m seriously starting to debate whether I prefer the boring consistency of Starbucks across the street. At least they have options to serve you coffee not in paper cups.

This is a cute small café with friendly service and smiling faces. I enjoy the cocomocha latte! They have a reasonably priced menu so I love to stop in for a hot breakfast. This is definitely one of my favorite weekend breakfast spots!

Love stopping by Joe’s! It’s a great neighborhood coffee spot. I’ll go here over Starbucks any day. My go-to is the Almond Joy latte. The Girl Scout cookie latte is also amazing. They both taste exactly like the candy and cookie.

This place is great! They have an excellent french press and a large variety of gourmet and exotic flavored coffees — Nutella, Girl Scout cookie, and blueberry muffin! The line can sometimes be long and the service ranges from spectacular to okay depending on who’s waiting on you — the girls behind the counter can be a little apathetic sometimes, and I had to give 4 stars for one two many screw-ups on my order. They definitely weren’t hired for their customer service skills. They have tons of delicious fresh pastries if you’re on the run, or you can be seated in the café if you have time to sit and eat a full meal. The menu is casual light fare like soups, sandwiches, and salads. There’s a wide variety of cold drinks which include higher-end iced teas and lemonade. On Friday nights they do an open mic which I’ll definitely check out in the future.

I miss how good this little café used to be. a few years ago their menu was catered more around cute café meals, great soups, etc. I went back with my child recently and obviously there is new ownership. The Owner was very loud and truly treated his employees like dirt. Even though he treated us well, it was cold in the restaurant, loud(because there were obvious family members of the owner there). I’m not ok with a man talking in that manner to his employees. As for food: The home fries were delicious. but the atmosphere was lost. Bummer.

Let me preface by saying this was the second time we went to No Joes to give them a second chance — I won’t even go into how awful the first experience was but we chalked it up to the employee so obviously being new. Here’s the breakdown of why this time was so much worse: When we asked the barista what the pastry was she responded with ‘I’m not sure, it has coconut on top’. We asked for 2 drinks and they both came out wrong. And we saw another barista smell then taste a drink she made before adding more pumps of syrup to it and send it out to the customer. Should have gone with our gut and waited on the long Starbucks line…

Surly as I was in the immediate aftermath of my visit, I was already thinking how this place would get slammed with a two-star review despite the fact that I really had a pretty good meal. My thinking was that, in an upscale downtown such as Red Bank(it has a Tiffany and Co and a Restoration Hardware just a block away, for crying out loud!), the standards should be high, and No Joe’s Café just doesn’t cut it. But then, after my temper had cooled, I recognized that the fluffy pear pancakes, the French press coffee, and the yogurt parfait were fulfilling, memorable and perfectly decent… respectfully. But I still can only rate No Joe’s as «fair» b/c that service was so gosh-darn muddled. Yes, I recognize that one of the two servers was brand new and the main one had to guide her around the place. But the management should have been prepared by bringing in a back-up. And the place was never really that crowded to justify the frazzled behavior. And it was obvious that other guests were experiencing similar frustrations. After taking almost 10 minutes to acknowledge me, my server couldn’t get my coffee until I was halfway through with the food, and forgot the water altogether. The brand-new server finally took up some of the slack… as did the guy who appeared to be the owner. But what should have been a relatively efficient, low key meal ended up keeping me there nearly 90 minutes, throwing off a lot of the day’s plans. Lastly, the menu specifically urged us to «enjoy a French Press coffee with a meal” – perhaps it was wrong of me to think it was a coffee special, but the lettering and wording on the menu sure made it seem that way. So I was a bit miffed when it just nothing more than a hat-tip to the French press coffee, but fully priced the same as if I had treated this place as a coffee shop. Red Bank can do better than this. But – to be honest – so can No Joe’s. And I’m sure it will be able to straighten itself out, because the food sure has promise. If it doesn’t, no doubt a Michelin-referenced brasserie will be happy to take its place.

Consistently good, and friendly service! The quality and taste of both the food and coffee is far superior to the Starbucks across the street. **I had the bacon, egg and cheese this morning, and by far the best I’ve ever had!

It was the most expensive iced coffee I have ordered in a while($ 4.55 for 24 oz.) But their cold brew coffee on tap was delicious. Roubust and not too bitter, better than Starbucks. Minus a star for fighting for attention of the counter guy due to intense facebook browsing(on his part)

No Joes is a cozy little coffee shop in what has become a hip(not using the hipster word you see) area of Red Bank, NJ. Staff was really nice and the place looks to be a family business. I ordered the«Sledgehammer» which is one of their special blends. The specifics of what the blend consisted of eludes me at the moment(insert getting old joke), but it was a nice mild roast similar to one of the better Ethiopian blends I’ve tasted before. Definitely worth getting again! The cinnamon bun was good too but not earth shattering. Really nice atmosphere, tasty fresh coffee, and a good warm pastry = happy me :)

I stopped at No Joe’s as a warm up stop on a frigid cold shopping day. The staff was very friendly, pointing out open tables I could choose from and offering either to serve me or to let me order from the counter. The drip coffee was very good. Not too strong but definitely a strong coffee flavor. I ordered a cheddar and rosemary biscuit as a treat and was surprised at how flavorful it was. The cheddar flavor was amazing, but the rosemary(of which I am a huge fan) was equally apparent. I knew from the grease spots on my napkin that this was probably a diet buster, but if you’re not counting calories it’s definitely a good way to go. I really appreciated that the staff let me sit and read for a few hours without bothering me.

«Its base is pumpkin.» Did I really hear that from a barista at a coffee shop when I asked what was in their pumpkin spice latte? I was trying to get to the bottom of if their version of fall’s favorite drink was chai, coffee, or espresso. I highly doubted it was made of some sort of pumpkin liqueur(note to self, that’s a million dollar idea), so I asked again. When told again that the base was pumpkin, I decided to just get an iced tea instead. With it I got an apple turnover and a sea salt English muffin. Both were positively delicious and filling(although slightly pricey for what they were). And the muffin was large enough for a meal. Which bring me to my other disappointment. When this place runs out of stuff for the day, they don’t replenish them. I came in at around 3:00 p.m.(two hours before close) and the kitchen had already closed for the day. Based on their pastries, I would have loved to try their warm sandwiches. But, alas, I didn’t get the chance. I also never tried their free wi-fi here. Not because I didn’t need it but because I was afraid to ask the barista for the password. I feared she would tell me that the password was made out of internet so she wasn’t sure what it was.
