From my mother, who appreciates fine coffee more than I do: «It was joy to find such an excellent quality coffee that I cherish. No mass-produced or franchised coffee that I’ve tried has come up with such a perfect cup. I particularly enjoyed the Kona. Thank you guys for serving espresso. It was such a beautiful experience. Plus, warm and friendly service. I truly enjoyed it.»

I have driven by dozens of times and finally I had the chance to stop. I had a Guatemalan and it was big bold and delicious. This place rocks! The roast coffee daily so it is super fresh. Star*** doesn’t even compare. I wish it was closer to me on in route to work. It will require special trips now and then.

I ordered Costa Rican twice online. Flavor is fantastic. Price and shipping are very reasonable. However they don’t say when to expect your order, so it is difficult to estimate how far in advance to place an order for fresh beans. I had to call to get the second order re-started, they sent a receipt but not the coffee. Order was handled by customer service, excellent response. Update: I have had excellent customer service managing my last 2 orders. Will order again! Love the Costa Rican beans!

When my favorite place got shut down after a fire next door, I had to find a place real fast to get my caffeine fix. Tried rook, however my mustache was not curly enough and my shirt was not the right kind of flannel. I really tried even got a fixed gear bike. So rook was out. Then driving through Red Bank one day I noticed Coffee Corral. I figured I would give it a shot. I am now a convert! By far the BEST coffee in the state, and one of the top 3 in the country(I am a coffee snob)! Phenomenal coffee that is roasted right in store, and ground with a pour over. Extremely nice and knowledgeable staff and a cute barista make it go beyond 5 starts! Do yourself a favor give up whatever swill you are drinking and take a trip to Red Bank.

COFFEEEXCELLENCE — my fiancé and I just finished taking one of the tasting(Cupping) classes. The class was incredible. Our Instructor Matt was so knowledgable and informative. We learned so much. I highly recommend the classes for anyone interested in learning more about coffee, the complex flavors, different regions, roasts, ect. We are certainly signing up for another class! Thanks Matt you were a fantastic teacher!

Can’t sit here and say I didn’t underestimated this place. But I’d rather go to a place like this than before I step into a dunkin. Coffee and lattes were good but I was impressed by the smoothie selection they had. Keep up the good work!

This is a good place to have a cup of Joe. I recommend the house blend it is bold strong and even good without milk or sugar. They have a wide selection of exotic coffees that are pretty competitive in price. This is a step above Starbucks. Because it’s unique, It’s very staff friendly, and a good selection of pastries and sandwiches. The staff are very attentive to the customers concerns. The morning rush can be time-consuming, but that is because of the success of this place. This place has to be good if people take the time to stop on the way to work to pick up coffee, plain and simple.

A bit expensive, but well worth it. Outstanding and attentive service. Of all the local roasters, they have the best coffee. The variety is superb, even though I stick with my old favorite — Costa Rican.

Grind the beans right in front of you. Slow drip! Now that’s a hot fresh cup of coffee. Best cup ever, happy I stopped in. The girl behind the counter knew her coffee. Happy customer.

Food and snacks are delicious, the ethiopian is a delicious light roast. All of their beans are roasted right there. In my opinion i think they roast most of them too long. Giving them more of a burnt skunky taste. But over all its a cool little place i go here often.

Coffee Corral is one of the most quality coffee shops in Monmouth County. While it is slightly more expensive than normal, you don’t get an average cup of joe here. They have beans from all over the world so there’s something for everyone to try, no matter what your preference.(It bears mention to any coffee fanatic that this is the ONLY place I’ve been able to get Jamaican Blue Mountain, which was on a limited basis.) I typically just go for the coffee but they have a wide selection of pastries, hot drinks that are not pure coffee, and smoothies(which are amazing in the summer!). Not surprisingly, the staff is always very friendly and well equipped to help customers find the beverage that works best for them! The only reason this gets 4 stars from me is not for lack of quality goods but the inside is very small and there isn’t a lot of room to sit. There is a high top table with a few stools but this is better suited as a grab and go sort of place. All in all, definitely a great place to go if you’re a coffee lover or looking to get started!

Great coffee and the staff is friendly. The only thing is that the last time I was here the ceiling was in poor condition which gave me the sense that they may not be doing so well financially? However, the coffee is always on point. Poor location — but never stops me from coming in for a good cup of joe. Could be cleaner.

I absolutely love this place. Russell is a great guy and is always willing to chat with customers while we wait. The baristas are also very nice and happy to make small talk if one is so inclined. I am also enrolled in the frequent customer loyalty program that CC has. I’ve given pounds of CC product as small gifts for coffee snob friends nearby and far away(Baltimore & Philly areas) — CC *always* receives high praise. Rook just opened not too long ago(behind Starbucks) here in Red Bank. I’ve gone a few times to see how it compares since I work on Broad Street. It’s good, but honestly, CC is better. Today I’m sampling the Bali — there is a real difference. They’re both good, but CC is better.

Great coffee & a good selection of baked goods. This shoo roasts their own beans & brews each cup of coffee for you while you wait. The single cup brewing method seems to be taking hold in Monmouth County as led by Rook. Do note that there is no lace to sit and enjoy your coffee inside. This is a to-go shop only. Bonus: they have a decent selection of gluten free muffins that I can report are extremely delicious.

Have passed by this place a few times while in Red Bank and didn’t have the time to stop, so to kick off my birthday weekend celebration, we came here. We wanted to try a fresh cup and also get some freshly roasted beans to bring home. This place did not disappoint– we were happy from the moment we walked in. Cute theme! Friendly, knowledgeable barista who was, as the BF put it, «so joyful about his job». We had a great conversation and learned a little about the place’s inception. And the coffee! Quite delicious. I was able to try a taste of it without any milk. That says something right there. Also had some with milk, and that was equally delicious and full of an assortment of flavors. Will definitely be back. This place could easily sway me from my current coffee supplier.

Was supposed to have a light afternoon snack at The Danish Café with my friend but they were closing within the hour so we re-routed to Coffee Corral by the help of Unilocal.Might I add that the address on Unilocal is wrong and it’s 177, not 117. Easy street parking, free standing building(apart from other stores). Walking in, there is literally one high table to sit at with 4 bar stools. Everyone ordered their coffee to go, so my friend and I thankfully were able to sit. Definitely not a place to sit and study or bring with multiple girlfriends(do guys go on coffee dates?). Got to talk to the owner for about 10 minutes about the business. She was very honest about the costs and risks of things, but also shared with me the investment that she and her husband made into this coffee house. They’d done 2 years of research prior to opening while traveling to Washington, Oregon, and Iowa to learn about beans from all over the world. Basically, one word to sum up Coffee Corral is integrity. If you check out the bathroom, they have huge posters and charts about varieties of beans. It made me feel extremely dumb and like a child because I had no idea there were so many different ways to categorize and describe coffee. But also good because I know the business owners have a passion for it. I had a single source Bali(barista will be glad to do a little shpeel for noobs). It was strong and I determined that by the almost immediate laxative effect LOL. I also love that they have a variety of milks and sugars for coffee to customize it. I will definitely be back. I hope in the future to see their seating expand, even to outdoors, especially being that they’re approaching 2 years of being in business and should start responding to the demand. The risk of coming with a friend but not being able to sit down is probably the biggest reason why I would not be confident returning.
