Recently, made a large purhase of over $ 700 .on a react massage chair. Here lies my conern and issue with brookstone. At checkout went to pay with v. g gift cards the cleark was unaware on how to process these. finally another associate had experienced them before and explained the process to the other clerk. We then asked about the return policy ’ clerk told us their unable to give us back onto v.g.giftcards but would issue a «brookstone gift card for total value. That was not the orhinal form of payment. Also presented a online coupon that was on my phone ’ it states«just show to clerk to process» .I tried that but was told brookstone is unable to scan and/or use the coupon. I asked the clerk for another form of discount to replace the on line coupon was told they are unable to do anything .I went ahead a made my purchase that ended up costing me 40 mins to process as the stores pinpad timed out and the transaction was in limbo ’ the clerk called customer service and after repeated tries and 40 mins later they got the pin pad working .the clerk apologized for the delay«stated he would give us a discount«I asked for a $ 20.00 discount on my purchase, to replace the on-line coupon, but was told that they cant delete a started transaction or input a discount.(* seems strange) Why would a large company produce a coupon and be aware that it cannot process that coupon. ? Would like to discuss this with a manger or district who can answer and resovle this issue…

The absolute worst customer service EVER! Tried to return something I bought online and the clerk couldn’t figure out how to do it, called their customer service line for help but he still didn’t know what or how to do it. He finally got frustrated, put the customer service rep on hold and told me, «you know when I finally figure this out I can’t refund your credit card, you need to either take store credit or wait for a check from corporate». What? I spent 45 minutes waiting for the simplest of transactions and now this? I asked to speak to the rep he put on hold, told her what she said and he proceeded to throw his pen down on the table like he was having a meltdown. I took my stuff, left the store and just paid $ 21.00 to return it by mail. So, so angry. Brookstone will go the way of Radio Shack and Circuit City soon enough. Still shaking my head at the whole ordeal. Time for customer service training Brookstone. I will never set foot in another one.

Brookstone’s return policy really sucks. I recently bought something with cash. I went back not even a week ago to return it and they said that they had no cash. Then they told me to come back in an hour, so I did, then again in a hour. I came in today and they said they had no cash when I saw someone paying with cash. They finally gave me my money back. I come to the conclusion that Brookstone is a horrible company let alone horrible returning policy. I will never recommend anyone to shop there.

1 star for lack of service 2nd star for not bothering us Although we just came to look around we were not greeted or acknowledged which is fine because we didn’t feel the pressure to buy anything. The store is small and I felt over priced for the kind of stuff they sell. It all seems cheap quality that will brake after a few uses. The store had a couple employees that were conversing about how last year they made $ 16k… Not sure if in sales, wages, or commission and I could’ve honestly cared less if all combined. They seem to have a regular customer which seems surprising. You can probably find similar items online for a lot less and probably better quality. Oh and the pillows on display were very dirty…

Brookstone very much disappointed us. We shopped there before Christmas and discovered that the store really carried mostly stuff that was over the top useless and/or overpriced. It is not the Brookstone I remember of even a decade ago. Fortunately, the one item I was hoping for, a small travel sized hair dryer like I had used at a cute high end motel recently, they carried. And I love my purchase. It is light weight and powerful. Nothing else had any appeal to me, so it was easy to leave with my one and only purchase.

Lame. Their pillows are super expensive and don’t have warranties if they go flat… even if it went flat a month after using it.

Came here years ago and the guys here were cool when me and my freind sat in their massage chairs for like 30 minutes lol… Idk I just never really want anything bad enough from Brookstone. Certain things catch my eye but then I think I can find it online for a better price if I really want it. Also I always get that car salesman vibe in BS stores. Like they can tell you’re a buyer/window shopper and treat you accordingly.

I like shopping here occasionally but I can’t stand the two older gentlemen that work there. I see them most of the time I go in and know for sure one is the manager. They never do anything and then the second one of them sees me look at anything big, like the massage chair, only then does he rush over to help me and try to sell this expensive chair to me. I have noticed I have more pleasant visits there when I have the associates help me as oppose to the money hungry managers.

We stopped by here also shopping for a memory foam pillow and this is a place that first pops up when you think of those type of pillows. Well we didnt buy it from here because they are way to expensive here as most of the things here seem to be.

The chain itself has gone the way of the do-do over the years. At first it had some great gadgets and nicknacks but these days it’s just not the same anymore. Nothing overly special here, even in VG. Though I will +1 star it for actually still having a outlet after so long.

I went in to this store for the very first time, and I was really happy I did. I sort of just gravitated toward it… I didn’t need anything else from Victoria Gardens, and since I’ve been in class and had an aching back because I sit for way to long in stadium seating lectures, I decided to break down and get a good lumbar support cushion to take to school. Yeah… that’s me… the dork with the huge backpack and the lumbar support pillow. I hope the cool kids notice me someday. The lady who helped me was very friendly and very attentive. She really made shopping there a pleasure, and I ended up being the more pleased for having stopped in because of her. I got my lumbar pillow, brought it home, and like it so much I think I’m going to get another one, because it’s so darned good. I mean, can you beat memory foam back cushions with plush microfibre covers? I hope not. I’d recommend stopping in and looking around… clearly had I more money, I would have spent more money there as their product offerings are seductively unusual.

Sunday, 1/27, 3pm: Review is for service only. There are 3 employees on the floor. Steven and I are the only customers for the last 15 out of the 20 minutes we’re here(there were a couple other people when we walked in, but they left shortly afterward). No one approaches us, not even a «Hello» at the door. We patiently stand at the checkout counter, but still have to get the employee’s attention to come ring us up. She then proceeds to try and sell us an egg shaped, useless widget. No thanks! Hence, the 1 star. I mean, don’t get me wrong. I loathe overbearing salespeople. And yes, everyone has an off day, but these three couldn’t possibly be having theirs all at the same time.
