Starbucks

I *never* review chains, but this one is needed. I always order a venti earl grey tea and a trenta cup of ice (make my own iced tea). This location said I couldn’t have a trenta cup of ice! I just paid $ 3 for a tea and you can’t give me a trenta cup of ice like ALL the other Starbucks (including the original one at the Public Market) — NEVER coming back to you, and I visit Raleigh frequently.

Like any starbucks the lines were long whenever you walked in and the service was rushed. Nothing personal but nothing unexpected or rude from the baristas. I usually enjoy an exchange of hellos before ordering.
This starbucks is one of few that actually have decent spaces for seating outdoors. It’s right by the movie theater so the crowd comes and goes with the movie show times. It’s right next to a lawn so that kids and families can play.
Quite loud in the evening when I went! Great for meetings and quick chats but too loud for anything personal like an intimate date or serious conversation. When the weather is nice, the ambiance is cheerful and lively. But again, it’s ideal for casual conversations. Not so much for quiet or serious conversations! The other starbucks in north hills is probably more ideal for a relaxed atmosphere.
I went in for a refill and the baristas were right on top of it. Pleased with the service!

Excellent employees and a great little coffee shop to get work done. Not too loud and avoids rush hour lines. Parking can be a pain though.

I am sure that many people drink coffee, and everybody has heard about Starbucks, unless you are dead. This is the Starbucks across from the movies next to Ben and Jerry’s. Not the one by Harris Teeter, or inside Target. But you have your choice of Starbucks in a 3 block radius.
Upon my initial entrance to this narrow Starbucks, I noticed that there was some debris on the floor, and there was only one sales person working. There was another person there who was walking from the back to go outside to smoke. I don’t count that person as somebody who was working, as they were not in uniform. The fraps that we ordered were prepared in a quick and efficient manner. The ice chunks were not mixed as smooth and creamy as some of the other places that make smoothie style drinks. There was a nice taste to the beverage, and it did not go from frozen to runny while I was drinking it, as some drinks do from other beverage places.
This location also sells some baked goods, but a few places on a couple of the shelves were empty, and I could not tell you what was there. I guess it was just easier to remove the price tag, than to restock the location.
The male restroom needed attention, as it was visible dirty as soon as you open the door before the first foot was even set foot in the restroom, but there was no odor present in the restroom, which is a good thing.
The location is in a nice spot at North Hills right in between everything on the top level.
