Redhill General Store

Very happy to find this store. It’s a general store like the kind you find in the mountains. They even have Ashe County cheese! They have all kinds of things like local produce, beef, poultry and pork, eggs, cheese, milk, candy, jar goods and kitchen items, garden items, a lot of fun stuff.

What a great little find! We just moved to the area and have been meaning to stop and find out what this general store was all about! It had a little bit of this little bit of that. Local meat, honey, jams & preserves, FRESH local dairy products, toys, Rainbow flip flops, handmade soaps, wine, candy, Dave’s Bakery cookies just to name a few!
I don’t know who Dave is but his cookies are out of this world. I asked if they were homemade and she said they come in frozen and they bake them in store. We had the peanut butter chocolate chunk one and oh my gaw. I’m drooling over here thinking about it! We bought a quart of chocolate milk and the cookie then decided to enjoy it on their bench outside before we went grocery shopping. We loved it so much we walked right back inside and bought another round to go!
They ask for a $ 1.50 deposit on their milk jug glasses. You return the glass, you get your buck fifty back.
Super friendly cashier. Overall a really great experience and will definitely be back!

This place is really great. A lot of local and unique items to be found. I just wish I discovered this place sooner :)

Pre-​ordered my Christmas tree last year an 8 ft tree. The tree was very thick. About a week after decorating, found bugs all around the tree (perhaps they hatched?). Gave them a second chance this year. I ordered a 7ft tree to decrease thickness. Although the tree is perfectly shaped, my 7ft tree is as tall as me, 5′ 10″. Such a disappointment!

This place is a real gem. It’s designed in the mold of general stores from yesteryear and it really nails it on the head. It’s cozy, friendly, and brings back nostalgia for anyone longing for a time before the big boxes and mega-​corporations destroyed the small corner store, and mom & pop markets.
They’ve got local meat, milk, and beer and it’s all great. Top that off with some basic clothing, household goodies, and a few novelties, and you’ve got a winner.
I come here for beer and meat mostly as I hope that this place stays in business for a long time. It’s just the kind of spot that we need to thrive in North Raleigh.

The girls and I love coming in here for our favorite candies! The old warmth the store has is very nice! Great place for lots of awesome items!

GRASS FED Beef! Firewood! Cooking Supply’s! Candy, BBQ Sauce, T-​Shirts (COUNTRY Themed as in «What part of the COUNTRY are you from» [you pronounced with three syllables]) now for the review!
This place looks Brand New and kinda like a Tourist Shop on Tybee Island! Then too it looks like a General Store minus most of the Charm you might expect if you have seen photos of one from before 1980!
Being located next to a Gun Store helps too!
