Seriously, affordable dress heaven. I could not believe the prices of the dress when I walked in here… most expensive one I saw was $ 50. Plus, they are all organized by color… thank you! This makes your shopping experience so much more enjoyable if you are like me and don’t enjoy shopping that much. You need a red dress… head over to the red dress racks… easy peasy! I think I tried on 8 dresses while in here shopping for a dress to wear to a wedding. Although I did not end up getting one because I didn’t like the way they fit(post pregnancy dress shopping sucks), I will certainly be back.

I really do like this store. I can usually find something really cute for not too much money. Unfortunately, when I went on Wednesday(6⁄19) I was disappointed as the two girls working were not very friendly. I wasn’t greeted, keep in mind I was the only one in the store, and felt like I was a bother by being in there; nor when I left did they say anything. I’ll probably go back, but I wasn’t happy with the hospitality on my last trip to Ivy & Leo.

Maybe I was having an off shopping day, but I stepped into this location to score a new dress that would be affordable, family appropriate and cute– too much to ask for? I tried on a few dresses, but none of them were right… full poofy skirts must be in this season. One of the dresses I brought into the dressing room with me had a hole in its shoulder, so make sure to thoroughly check things out before buying. Although none of the dresses worked, I walked out with a pair of colored denim skinny jeans, reasonably priced at $ 60. On of the attendants provided stellar service, while the other looked like she’d rather be anywhere else. One caveat: cheap prices + close vicinity to NCSU = sorority overload. I had a girl standing outside my dressing room spitting out so many OMGs that I had to bite my tongue to keep from laughing in her face and asking, «Are you real?»

Hello affordable fashion! When my eyes bug out at price tags, and it’s because the numbers AREN’T large — we have a winner. ivy & leo hasn’t been open long, but the shop was hoppin’ on a Friday afternoon. The range of female shoppers was anywhere from 18 to early 30’s, so their wares are not too adolescent and not too mature. They’re juuuust right. I found a fantastic blue, belted dress(with straps!) that set me back barely $ 40. I heard one of the employees tell someone else that the most expensive dress in the store was probably 80 bucks. Ladies of Raleigh can feel cute without feeling guilty. Perhaps the planets have aligned.

Another women’s apparel boutique — just what Cameron Village needs, right? Cut the snark! Because ivy & leo does fill a nice niche on the CV shopping scene: I didn’t see a single item above $ 50. In fact, most of the clothes were $ 35 or less. Here, hold my handbag while I load my arms with dresses. Though they’d only been open three days when I dropped in, the staff was helping folks start fitting rooms, and the merchandise was full… and fun — bright colors, open-back dresses, blouse-y tunics. Plus some accessories. I was in a bit of a hurry, so I didn’t get a chance to do due diligence wallet damage. But I’ll be back. Yes, I’ll be back.
