Love this whole in the wall, Asian place when I am on the Poole side of town. The chicken stir fry is delicious, they have a great drink machine. It is clean, fresh, and lots of comfy tables. Prices can’t be beat and the service is always friendly.

I have been searching and searching for a hibachi place close to me and thanks to Unilocal reviews I stumbled upon Hibachi 88. I have now been here twice and I have found the food very delicious and the staff very friendly. Both times I have gotten the hibachi chicken and it has been nicely cut and the veggies are perfectly cooked. The service does seem to take a little while but I have dined in so I am not in a rush. My only recommendation would be to have unlimited sauces (you get two with your meal for free and then have to pay for additional) for dine in customers. What can I say, I like my sauce and I like both white and ginger! They do have a rewards card and you can get an extra stamp when you pay with cash so I always make it a point to have some to pay that way. All in all, I have been impressed and am looking forward to going back again!

I have been eating at this location for a little over a year now. The food is good and the price points are reasonable.
Sometimes the service can be a bit unpredictable. I was told 15 minutes before and got there 20 minutes later only to have to wait an additional 20 minutes.
There are quite a lot of people hanging out because it is in a strip mall setting with a tobacco shop and barber shop next door.
Once I get some consistency as far as call in to pick up I will bump up their rating.

Environment and Time it took was really bad. Stuff was broken, lights missing, cooler was a disaster. It outlined «East Raleigh». Not a safe place.

The hibachi chicken that I had today was really good. You get quite a bit of food too. I was quite satisfied with the price point and the quality. This is usually not the case with Hibachi places. The rice was slightly sticky which I enjoyed. Vegetables were cooked just right with a slight crunch and the white sauce is so good. Actually the veggies were so good that I wished I had ordered Veggie Hibachi instead. The chicken is tasty but they really know how to cook the veggies. The lunch comes with soup or salad. I opted for the salad and really liked the ginger dressing. I wish this place was near my house, whoops, not really, I’d make too many excuses to eat here.
There is a eat in area that is a nice size, but most people I see order carryout. They also have a loyalty card that you can stamp and then get a free meal after so many visits.

Foods okay… they don’t sell sushi anymore the cashier said they stopped selling it 6 mos ago. The miso soup was good and so was the clear soup. The food is OK just takes a little long.

Great Food at a cheap price! I received a HUGE PORTION for the take out meal of the 3 meat combo. I received four of these 3 meat combos and 2 soups for less than $ 60! Definitely my new eating spot. Very satisfied and extremely full!

Best Hibachi place in Raleigh! I have eating at more expensive Hibachi. This place beats them all hands down ! Some many fresh favors in your mouth

Went to lunch with co-​worker today at 1:16. Maybe 6 people in the place, gave our orders. 30 minutes later finally received one meal, five minutes later two more arrived, five more minutes later mine finally arrived. By then we had have everything to-​go, can’t say if the food was good, because it was cold when we got back to work. Have ate there before and it was good, not sure what went wrong this time. Location is sketchy «bangers» hanging around the outside.

If this rating were for a hibachi express category (fast food hibachi), I’d give it a 4… but this is an express style hibachi so it gets 3, maybe 2.5 in comparison to traditional hibachi cook-​in-​front of you style with sushi… The food was solid… hibachi chicken and shrimp was very good. White sauce is what white sauce is supposed to be. They have buy 1 get 1 ½ off sushi rolls, but they don’t have many options for sushi… I got the red dragon and the Snow White… the red dragon was pretty good, the Snow White was bad. The crab did not taste right. My wife and kids got hibachi chicken and hibachi chicken and shrimp and really liked it. So, if you want some good hibachi quick, this place is an excellent option. They don’t cook in front of you though and I just don’t recommend the crab in the sushi. They also have a 98.0 sanitary rating, which is better than many quick hibachi places I’ve been.

This place has very good hibachi food and at a pretty cheap price. I’m very picky about the white sauce at some hibachi places and the overall flavoring of the food but I have to so say I was very impressed with this place! It’s kinda in a sketchy area but it’s very clean and nice on the inside! Definitely recommend! I got the hibachi shrimp and it was $ 7.88.

Delicious sushi for a good price! Better than the grocery store which is where I usually get my sushi. I did have a side of expensive fried rice though, which gave me a headache. Probably from all of the MSG. I do recommend it because I am crazy about sushi. Especially inexpensive tasty sushi.

This is a great hibachi place. Cooked fresh & fast. I’ve gotten the hibachi steak w/​salad every time i’ve eaten here. It comes with a mixed assortment of fresh veggies and rice. The ginger dressing is wonderful as well as the white sauce & ginger dipping sauce. Tons of food too. I always have to ask for a to-​go box. I’ve only been at lunch but I think the price is right for what you get. I would definitley give it a try.

They’re open until 10pm and have reasonable prices the whole day. Thoroughly enjoyed the inexpensive hibachi chicken! My husband was also pleased with his hibachi steak. The staff was incredibly friendly. I’ll be interested to give their sushi a try, next time!

Hidden in a rather busy strip-​mall (right behind KFC) Hibachi 88 offers decent Lunch specials. Hibachi Chicken with Veggies, a side of meso soup, and a fountain drink for just $ 7…excellent value. Decent portion sizes to boot, and the classic hibachi taste will not disappoint. The interior is pretty bland, and most of their business seems to be for carry-​out orders, but they do have inside seating. Sanitation Rating was 99%, which is excellent. However, the location is a little sketchy… it seems like at any minute they could get robbed. Seriously. Food is pretty good, but terrible location hurts the score.

I hadn’t heard a thing about this place before I wandered in there for lunch one day. I wish I’d found it sooner! Lunch — hibachi chicken and veggies with rice and a soda — was $ 7 even. The chicken was lean, white meat and it had a great flavor. Thankfully the white sauce was proper (not sweet — I hate that) and the ginger sauce was good. All that plus friendly service and a Coke fountain with free refills. I highly recommend it.
