Good hibachi for a great price, you get a pretty good size portion. I would not recommend getting sushi here, it was not good at all. The dumplings were good but they don’t have a dipping sauce to go with them. Personally I would only get the hibachi here!

the white young female tried to start fights with me. she refused to bring me my bill the first time. Had to ask her to bring me my receipt. she refused to do it. and had to yell at her to do it. she stood behind and yelled at me. and tried to start a fight with me. wanted water and and she gave me a tiny cup. And she got angry at me. Not a tip in front of other people. She would be only nice to people who spent a lot of money at the table. I got a refund from the credit card agency. She not spend much money at our table. she would be only nice to tables with male and children customers. She rude to other people at our table.

I like quick hibachi places. And more important thing is drive rice and they get it right. Hibachi chicken is ok and vegetables are or ok. Nothing really much left to be desired from in this restaurant. Also staff is nice and will give you extra sauces if you ask with no issues.

Edit: so 24 hours later and I have some severe intestinal stress and montezuma’s revenge. Ugh. Don’t eat here. Here is my original review: I thought this was a Hibachi grill you sit at with guy throwing knives etc. it’s not, it’s like a to-go Chinese place but Japanese instead. For what it is, the food is what you would expect, not great but not horrible either. The miso soup was disgusting, the shrimp and ribeye was decent. What garnered the two stars was how disgustingly dirty the restaurant is. Check out the fountain beverage machine, it was covered in filth, the table tops have a layer of muck, looks like this place hasn’t been cleaned in a very long time. It made me so nervous to eat the food. Fingers crossed!

Today I wanted to get my girlfriend her favorite type of food to lift her spirits after a difficult day. I decided to try hibachi Japan because it seemed to be a good restaurant based on reviews. I’m disappointed to say that I was let down. We opened our two hibachi chickens and we began to enjoy about what you would expect from this style establishment. About half way through she found a roach in hers. Obviously we both spit out what was in our mouths and I immediately drove back to the restaurant. Without out even a single apology, they refunded me for only one of the meals. This puzzled me. The staff refused to offer me a full refund. I will never visit this place again, and I encourage you to heed my warning. I would leave negative stars if it were possible.

Prompt service but food was tough and meat seamed like had been cooked for a long time. Not as good as most other similar Japanese restaurants.

Food is always made just right. Love the ginger and white sauce. My favorite is the salmon hibachi. OMG!

Delicious hibachi, good portion sizes(not too big). Clean facilities. Help yourself to some white & ginger sauce. Great place all around! Get here before 2:30 for lunch specials. Closed on Sundays.

Literally the worst«Japanese» food. We got the Hibachi Chicken and Teriyaki Chicken. The hibachi chicken is just plain, unflavored chicken. The teriyaki chicken was definitely from a can, funky tasting sauce. The rice was dirty. The white sauce everyone was raving about is no good as well. The only redeeming factor was their ginger sauce, made it slightly edible. Hands down, a waste of money.

I have never been dissatisfied with my food or experience. I generally get take out, but the dining area is well-kept and attractive. On to the food, I have enjoyed the habachi chicken and steak. The standard vegetables and rice come with entrees, and I have always enjoyed the freshness of the food and generous portions. The tempura chicken is good as well. Note: the crab rangoons come wrapped in rolls not pouch I generally see other places. I look forward to future visits and would recommend to others.

Ordered the following: Seaweed salad(okay… not the best I have had) Gyoza(only fried… pretty good) Miso(average miso) Crab Rangoon(great) Shrimp and steak hibachi(decent) The hibachi is served in a plate with three partitions. Like a picnic or plate lunch style. I wouldn’t care if not for the fact that my hibachi was also partitioned. Steak in one, shrimp in the other, and rice in the third. I am used to them all being mixed. I will ask that they are cooked together next time. Two complaints… steak was cooked well done. Too damned tough and I wasn’t asked how the steak should be cooked. I usually request medium rare. The quality of the meat didn’t seem poor, just that it was cooked to be uncomfortably tough but I am sensitive to lean meat being cooked beyond medium. Complaint #2… some woman was practically screaming throughout the majority of my dine in experience. The place was clean but this woman incessantly screeching loudly at her coworkers/staff in a foreign tongue was rather grating. Another customer made a comment about it on their way out and they were told that it is «how they communicate.» I will go back, and either get the steal medium rare or have chicken instead. Kudos for cleanliness. The cashier should smile a bit as well, but I suppose you get what you pay for, and it is a steal for the price/portions/speed/cleanliness.

I love hibachi shrimp. Hibachi Japan offers excellent hibachi shrimp. Bonus: it’s cheap. It’s close to my work and has quickly become one of my favorite lunch spots. I’ve ordered it for take out and sat down. I prefer to just grab and go, but the restaurant is clean and the service is fast. If you’re a hibachi fan, give it a try! Their california rolls aren’t bad, either.

Food is good. Unfortunately they do not understand that not everyone wants to watch MSNBC while they eat. They also had a homeless person sleeping in a booth tonight.

The Hibachi steak and shrimp is my favorite! I’ve been here several times. It’s cooked perfectly. I never eaten inside, but I’ve noticed the cleanliness. The service is quick and the portions are large. I love the ginger sauce… no white sauce for me. I pass by this place all time to attend my group fitness classes so its hard to resist after a workout. I wish there was a location closer to my home. There’s another location in Durham Miami Blvd, but the food is not as good in my opinion.

This place has the best hibachi in North Raleigh, its fresh, and not drowning in soy sauce like most places in the triangle are. They also homemake their white sauce, it tastes similar to other restraunts but theres just something that makes it a little diffrent and I cant quite put my finger on it. This place by no means in fancy like kanki but you can still watch them make your food or relax in their comfortable sitting area and watch some television.

I debated over whether to write a review for this place since I hesitate to share one of my favorite lunch gems… But now the secrets out. It’s quick, cheap and really tasty! Always clean and quick if you just want to grab an order to go as I often do. Their lunch special includes your drink for free and Will set you back only about $ 7 for a plate full of chicken, veggies and the fluffiest rice. For me, it’s enough to have half for lunch and save half for dinner later. I’m also a sucker for any place where i can have unlimited refills of fountain diet Pepsi! Oh, and the best part? The self– serve, oh-so-yummy white sauce, of course!

This is pretty good express Japanese eats, folks. Good Hibachi food, quick service, and SELF-SERVE white sauce! I’ve gotten the chicken and shrimp Hibachi, so can’t speak to anything else. Plenty of food, and good… at a good price. They have a TV and some inside seating. The couple times I’ve been here, it hasn’t been too crowded. They’re located in a strip mall which can be difficult to get in/out of on Wake Forest Rd, but it’s okay if you can turn right and go towards the beltway or go to the other end of the shopping area and go out by the traffic light.

As far as express Japanese food goes, this is my favorite. I’ve never had to wait for anything except the food to cook, and they give good portion sizes(I usually get either the hibachi chicken or shrimp).
