Long wait on a Sunday but the French Toast made it worth the wait… New to the area, so didn’t know Bob Evans was that popular on an early Sunday. We came because my Lil one is part of their kids club and had a free entrwe to redeem. We arrived about 10 am and were on a 40 min waiting list with standing room only. They did offer complimentary coffee and muffins in the lobby to enjoy while we wait. We took the opportunity to walk to some nearby stores(most do not open until 12 on Sunday but still gave us something to do) Our waiter was friendly and our food came out fast. My husband and I chose to split and entrée as it seemed it would be enough for us both. The kitchen split it in the back for us and bought our breakfast that consisted of french toast, eggs, home fries and sausage. My lil one enjoyed her pancakes and looks forward to getting her birthday card next year! Kids eat free on Tuesday anyway. so she won’t have to wait that long to return.

Stopped in for lunch on a Sunday around 230 The tables in the dining room were dirty and the servers were all doing side work as they go home at 3. after sitting for 10 minutes I had to ask for a little service .The food was good and I guess we just came at a bad time

Walking in to the restaurant we were heartily glared at by a group of what appeared to be teen agers running the place. We clearly interrupted their hang out by trying to come in and you know… eat. One of them approached us rolling her eyes and lead us to a booth where we greeted by a young man that seemed to have the largest boulder sized chip on his shoulder I have ever seen. He did bring the soft drinks that we ordered but when told we might need a minute to look at the menu he disappeared and stayed gone for approximately 15 minutes. I had to wave arms to get him to walk toward us. The attitude was like we did something wrong… like he thought we were someone else… or… who knows. It was bizarre. He was clearly not interested in providing even adequate customer service and we are pretty low maintenance… he was overtly effeminate in nature but that means nothing to us — he seemed to use his personal demeanor to project himself outward to affect others opinions. not sure how to best explain it. Like he was really defensive about a quality that he shouldn’t be defensive about in the first place as neither my wife nor myself have any hang-ups. Well. unless you count ‘don’t be a douche’ when you are in customer service. We’re both in the service industry ourselves — and this person has no business being in this business. We smiled and said hello when ‘we’ walked in. we got glares and attitude in return. Just about turned around at the beginning. but well maybe we just read it wrong or something. Nope. But it got better. or worse depending on your perspective. He was gone for another extended length of time — by this time the drinks were empty and had been sitting on the edge of the table for a very long time. He looked directly at us saw the glasses. and instead chose to return to his group of friends huddled behind the counter where he could gossip and apparently ‘judge’ the clientele. After a half an hour of this nonsense and his inexplicable passive aggressive attitude. we got up and went to the register to cancel our orders and pay for our drinks. The manager asked what was wrong. I told her that this was the worst customer service we have had in a long time and I saw no reason to remain. She offered to pay for the meals, begged us to stay. along with another waitress who had been working nearby and saw the awful service we had received.(She by the way was outstanding. handling nearly the entire floor by herself while this entitled 20 something could not handle 2 tables.) I told her we were not here to get a free meal, I had no issue paying for our drinks but there was no way we were staying — free food or not. The whole time… the kid just stands there about 10 feet away by himself playing with the drink machine. Wow. We have been to this Bob Evans before and it was great. But this manager — who also saw the kid doing jack all nothing… did not challenge him before we left. Free meal? No… figure out just common decency, politeness and actually ‘manage’ the joint. You don’t have to kiss our arse… just don’t let the kids run wild and treat customers like their high school friends. Won’t ever go back.

This was my first experience at a Bob Evans before. WOW! This place has the best breakfast! I had the Rise Up breakfast where I had farm fresh eggs(you can tell they are farm fresh because of their color), bacon, home fries, and an English muffin. I asked for the bacon extra crispy and it was perfect. Our server Chris was very nice and attentive. Great place, lovely food. I’ll be coming back very soon!

Went out to eat with my girlfriend and ordered the chopped steak. Not good ATALL!!! My mushrooms were burnt and wasn’t expecting Salisbury steak. Waiter was so-so. Not the customer service experience I usually get. Maybe I’ll try breakfast and see how that goes.

This Bob Evans is pretty consistent with others I’ve been to. Living in Central Ohio, ive been to bunch in my day. This was the first NC one I’ve taken in, and it was fine. I went in a Sunday at 11am which is prime«after church» time. After being quoted a 20-minute wait, I timed a 32 minute wait… not a big deal. It’s the same as any other BOBs… kind of dirty, but decent food. There are tons of better choices for brunch, but here, you know exactly what you’re going to get. I will say the staff was very friendly which you don’t always get at BOBs.

The food is consistent, the service is decent, and you’ll be in and out fairly quickly. I stick to the omelettes at BE. It’s the same omelette at every BE so I know what I’m getting. They come with choices of toast and potato. The home fries are red potatoes fried with the skins on. Yum — just don’t have high expectations. They aren’t as consistent as the omelettes but they are edible. The buttery spread on the toast is another story. My bad, I sometimes forget to ask for real butter. You can even tattle on the server if s/he is wearing a button that offers a free soup to go if s/he doesn’t suggest it. But, please, don’t embarrass yourself by singing Nanny Nanny Boo Boo.

This is a reluctant three-star review. I’d really love to give four stars, thanks to pleasant service and an enjoyable menu, but there is still much to be desired. There were several large parties waiting when we arrived for a late Sunday lunch, which left us standing outside for twenty minutes. When we were called in, we found the service pleasant, the all-day breakfast a great touch, and the crêpes & hash browns perfectly fine. Bob Evans is Bob Evans – delish biscuits, enigmatic(but inexplicably tasty) crêpe filling, and a ‘down-home-yet-chain’ atmosphere. If you’re looking for a reasonable meal – and have a reservation in advance – this Bob Evans is a fine option. Just beware of Sunday brunches.

Good okay, service spotty, wait was ridiculous. We arrived to an empty entrance, which was full 30 minutes later, when we were finally seated.

Food was just ok, nothing to write home about. The worse part is the team, they don’t work together, I’m sitting at the counter and everyone behind it can clearly see I’m done. However since they are not responsible for it they pass me up. They don’t even make eye contact with me. Come on guys, TEAMWORK!!!

Bummer thing is I used to really like Bob Evans food but this location is not doing it right. I’ve been here three times and the food is just okay and it takes forever to come out. The coffee and sweet tea are good despite the food. I’ve had poor, slow service every time. It’s a good thing they offer coupons and kids eat free nights or I wouldn’t be going here.

For breakfast you can’t beat this place. I mean they give you an entire pot of coffee as a single traveler. I loved it. The biscuits is what you come here for. I could have eaten like a dozen all in one sitting. Very fresh and not greasy at all. The dinner menu is another story… it is ok… but if you want a good experience have a leisure breakfast and enjoy the ambiance. Little country feeling… yes it does.

Walked in and it looked inviting and enticing with the baked goods in the case as we were ushered to our table. We went on a Tuesday afternoon so it was pretty quiet with only two other tables occupied. I was surprised to see tables that had not been cleared and cleaned for the entire duration of our visit. We opted for breakfast and were severely disappointed… I had scrambled eggs, sausage, and fry potatoes… hardly any of it was edible. Eggs must have been powdered eggs, the sausage had an odd after taste, and the fry potatoes were still raw. Save your time and money and go elsewhere for breakfast food.

This restaurant has quick service and good tastes. I highly recommend this for a family outing, as well as a meeting place for a large group of people. Food here is served fast and is inexpensive. This Bob Evans has nice quality for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

This may well be the best service in a restaurant of this type that we’ve ever received. On both occasions, with different servers. Really, really outstanding — and that second visit was largely due to the excellent service. I’m not a breakfast person, so I ordered lunch. And that grilled chicken sandwich with swiss cheese and spinach was one of the best white meat chicken breast sandwiches ever. Moist, hot, tasty, fresh. And the cole slaw — that I will go back and get take out for our next BBQ. Outstanding. Others had breakfast, which was enjoyed by all. Huge servings. Perfectly cooked eggs, good sausage patties. One enjoyed the biscuits, and one did not enjoy the grits. Otherwise, everyone very happy with their breakfast choices. As long as I can order lunch, I’d be happy to return. If not, I’ll easily try an omelet.

Went here for lunch, service was a tad on the slow side, but friendly. Food was good as we typically get. I enjoy coming here as it is rarely extremely busy, and it is still cozy for a reasonable sized restaurant. I get the feeling most of the customers are regulars.

I got the biscuits with sausage gravy. I have never been so disgusted. It literally looked like canned cat food. Unfancy Feast. Yuck.

While I’m not a big fan of chain restaurants, they do have lots of good choices for any meal of the day. Prices are fair and service is good. It’s super busy on Sunday mornings and always a wait.
