I tried the Amigosan taco truck for the first time when they were parked out in RTP. I went with the Sombrero with chicken and their speciality, the Armigosan with pork, both on soft flour tortillas. The tacos were good and flavorful, and I liked the Armigosan with pork a little bit more than the Sombrero. Just a personal preference, but overall, I prefer the traditional Mexican taco to the artisan fusion tacos that Amigosan offers. I will say that this is the first time I had Kale on a taco though and I did feel like I was eating somewhat healthy at least. At $ 11 plus tip for two tacos and water, this is one of the more pricier trucks. Interesting concept if you want to try something out of the ordinary.

I really enjoyed it. I tried the signature taco(the one with kale, and spicy aioli) and it was awesome.

Tofu tacos are delicious! The tofu is so crispy and tasty, even my boyfriend liked it and he usually hates tofu. The tacos were a little pricy 2/$ 10 but they were huge, fresh, and super filling.

We ordered the pulled pork tacos with the Thai-style topping of shredded cabbage, peanut sauce, napa cabbage, carrots and coconut. I liked the flavor of the the meat, but there was a bit too much slaw for my taste. As others have noted, at $ 10 for 2 tacos is not a very good deal at all, way too expensive for what you get. But the flavor is there if you are willing to pay the price.

We stumbled across Amigosan while at the Anniversary Party at White Street Brewery. You can’t miss the bright yellow truck. My friend had the pork nachos(sombrero style) and the portion was very filling. I ordered the Taj Mahal and Thai Thai Again tacos and the flavors were very exotic and tasty. The prices are a bit on the high side. The ingredients reminded me of White Duck Taco in Asheville. 2 Tacos were $ 10 and they were really delicious. The lady taking the orders was very friendly and was teaching her son or a younger helper to work the ipad to place the order. I am glad we got a chance to try the truck while at the brewery and it was a great fit with tasty tacos and nachos.

The taco I had was pretty good, but at $ 6 it was extremely overpriced! Especially from a food truck. I had the amigosan with tofu, which has sesame kale. It was really tasty, but for the price I would’ve expected at least 2 of them. The truck did have sample tacos displayed, but in my hurry to grab lunch I didn’t notice. With other food trucks offering better deals for equally tasty veggie food, I won’t be going again.

I tried an Amigonsan taco with chicken while they were parked at Raleigh Brewing Company. It was mostly kale and cabbage with a small amount of chicken. While it was tasty, it didn’t wow my tastebuds and $ 6 a taco is just too expensive — especially when I had to go to Neomonde afterwards because I was still hungry. The tater tots are $ 9… 3 stars for their quality ingredients but they need to increase portion size or reduce price before I return.

One of the most attractive Food Truck and enough for me to stand in the queue when there were 7 – 8 more options. The Menu is quiet unique with Kale and Napa Cabbage in there Amigosan taco which I tried and liked and Taj Mahal Taco which was more like curry flavor. I’ll never look at Taco the same way again. Moving here from New York Area I crave for these unique creative food. Only downer is the price 6 $ for a small taco. But still hoping to bump into them soon.

I would agree with the previous person who said it’s too costly. I got a taco and drink and it was 8 $ and the taco was so small for 6 $. I had the taj mahal with tofu and it didn’t had any taste to it and was bland. Won’t recommend it for the quantity you get for the high price and lack of taste. Two tacos/tortillas for 6 $ would be a reasonable deal.

Delicious! Everything our group ordered — from taco type to protein choice — was delicious! I personally enjoyed the thai taco and amigosan taco(both with tofu) a few hours ago and I am craving more of them right now! Flavor and service is 5 stars. Knocked down a star for price…6 dollars for a taco…

The food was mediocre at best. What I really didn’t like were the prices. I spent $ 20 for myself and had barely enough food to feel satisfied. I spent $ 8 on a side of loaded tater tots! That’s absurd for a small side item. Don’t eat at this truck unless you can afford to be ripped off.

I was really excited about this truck when I heard it was going to be nearby. The tacos were just OK, but what really got me was the price. My wife and I spent $ 30 for 4 tacos and 1 side of loaded tator tots that barely filled us up. This is probably one of the more expensive food trucks I have ever eaten at and will be avoiding it in the future.

The food on the truck wasn’t bad but we found it to be incredibly overpriced. My husband and I each had 2 tacos and we split a side. My mother had 2 tacos and 1 side. We ended up paying around $ 50! The whole point of a food truck is to offer quality food without the restaurant prices because you aren’t paying for the service. We had much better food at an actual Mexican restaurant, had restaurant quality service, tons of leftovers, and with a tip it came to about $ 40. I won’t be returning to this truck ever again.

We tried this truck at the Durham food truck rodeo, and we’ll be looking out for them to stop nearby again. The menu is a little complicated, but the idea is that you choose a protein, a carb, and a style of toppings. You pick a meat or tofu; taco, nachos, or tater tots(yes, tater tots); and curry, Thai, Mexican, or sesame soy style veggie and sauce topping. One of the owners came out to chat with us and recommended the Thai tater tots. I was skeptical of this, but she said that the peanut sauce was really good on the tater tots, so we got it with some tofu. This was a very good idea. The tofu was thinly sliced and crispy, with a texture somewhat like bacon. If I have one critique, it’s that a few bites were sliced slightly too thin, which made them a little hard. The creamy peanut sauce was excellent on the tater tots, and the cabbage and carrots added a nice crunch. Thanks, Amigosan – I’ll never look at tater tots the same way again!

Amazing food great service… what more can you ask for? I tried the beef amigosan and the chicken taj mahal. Very light and healthy the sauces hit the spot. I would definitely go back and try everything else on their menu. Check out their website for hours and location because they move to different places(usually at breweries). Definitely what Raleigh needed ethnical food.
