This place is wonderful and the pizza is great! They always remember me when I come in, or if I pass by on the street. All in all a great spot for a quick slice or a whole pie.

Grabbed a plain slice to try it out and compare to other pizzerias in the area(Slice Harvester-style). Folded it together and took a bite. The cheese bunched up together at the front and the edge folded over. All of the cheese slid off the sauce — a sign of of a poorly constructed slice. The sauce was thin tomato paste — no flavor. A plain slice was $ 2.50. What? The restaurant was very clean and decorated nicely. They put a lot of money into it. Wouldn’t come back for pizza though.

I try not to leave a bad or negative review for many reasons. It’s a small business and I’m glad a Pizza Hut didn’t open but I gave this place 3 tries. The first time we ordered a plain reg pie(3 big guys Sunday night football) after I ate one slice I asked my friend what did u think he said I’m tired of chewing this slice is terrible. I said your right it is too chewy so we ate a slice each threw out the pie. The next Time around I said let me try a grandma slice in the place and I got a semi cold slice and its sauce was bland took a bite threw it out. Last night i get a chicken Bbq slice it was terrible took 2 bites tossed it out. I was really hoping this would solve the pizza situation on Broadway but this place is just as bad as Boston pizza. I was at amores in whitestone last week begging them to open up something here on Broadway Astoria. For an old Italian hood the pizza here is terrible. Only hope for this place is new people making pizza or new owners, clearly these guys don’t know how to do pizza.

Beat the other expensive Italian spots in the neighborhood by both price and quality. I agree that you have to wait here longer than in other places but it comes with superior quality as well which works for me.

Tonight we passed by to dine for the third time and we thought we go ahead and give the restaurant credit. Not only was our food very tasty but also served with very professional service. We were taken care of right away and everyone was very attentive especially our server, whom we did not take his name(sadly) but he provided the best attitude a customer looks for in a restaurant. Although, it is not a fine dining setting the server was very caring and polite even after ordering the most common dishes, such as, a slice of pizza and meatball hero, we dine in Astoria often a lot because we are from the neighborhood, but our server and the facility inspired us to go ahead and Unilocal them! Major credit to them. And I definitely will visit more often!

Around a three. three star review. It’s pizza, it’s not artisan, it’s not Chicago-style, it’s nothing any different that you’d really get from your typical chains in the city etc. Heck, it’s not even too different from the pizza from a chain like Sbarro’s. In addition to that, just how many more pizza spots do we need on Broadway in Astoria? I think between 21st street and Steinway we have a total of… eight? I do like the fact that it is a by-the-slice type pizza joint with the additions of other«Italian» dishes. I’ve only had the Hawaiian, regular cheese, pepperoni, and white cheese pizza. They’re not bad, just nothing special. So if you just want a slice or two and a much more decent place to sit down and eat them at, this is a much better spot than the others up and down Broadway. The prices are a tiny bit more though. Now, if these guys were open much later Friday and Saturday then they’d be a much better spot to hit up. I feel like they’d a good spot to attend to to the late night crowd coming home over the weekend.

Just, no. This took the place of Donato’s Italian Bistro, which was«just okay,» but believe me, it was much better than what took its place. Bad pizza, terrible service, and overpriced. FOOD: how does a pizza place screw up a margherita pizza? This is what I ordered and it tasted like something I’d buy from the frozen food section and pop into my oven. I don’t need to pay $ 13.95 for something I can buy at the store for $ 5. Additionally, my wife’s pasta was so bad that she couldn’t finish it. It was apparently super soggy and just not… good. I think there were a few edible dishes on the table for our friends, but it was about a 50⁄50 split. SERVICE: very pushy and unwilling to work with us at all. They also tried to charge us for items we never ordered, and then fought us on the additions they made to our receipt. It also took roughly 20 minutes for them to fix the bill after they finally accepted that we hadn’t ordered some of the things they’d put on there because a «manager» had to do it. In the meantime we watch said manager walk back and forth through the restaurant doing anything else but fixing our bill. PRICES: overpriced even if the food was good, and obviously super overpriced for bad food. Pizzas are roughly $ 12 — $ 18. Pasta dishes are about $ 10-$ 16. I don’t remember the total bill for the five of us, but I believe for my wife and I alone, we paid roughly $ 30 for terrible food. I will not be back, and I hope whatever comes in and replaces this(I don’t see it staying around that long given the number of good pizzerias and restaurants we have in the neighborhood) is much better than this place.

Stupid name for a stupid restaurant! If you are in the need for a sub par slice in Astoria queens… I could recommend many better places than Pizzastoria! Filling in for the better Donatoe’s that fulfilled hungry patrons before the shite tasting Pizzastoria moved in. A bad attitude and poor customer service is met with shit music and sarcastic server. I’d rather buy a frozen turd and warm it up, than deal with the ordeal that is know as ‘Piz-fucking-Astoria’.

I was very happy to see a new restaurant here, I’ve been in Astoria for 30 years and I was very pleased to see what seems to be a family restaurant opening. PizzAstoria has fun staff, and interesting pizza. I’ve never heard of a penne vodka pizza and my absolute favorite is the Chicken salad pizza! The slices are HUGE and you can tell a great deal of care went into making these dishes. Well done PizzAstoria! I hope you are here to stay!

With so many great Pizzarias in Astoria, this one is a standout. Polito’s has always been our favorite. This place is up there. I jokingly wonder if they took one of Polito’s chefs. I wish this place much success and gladly will return.

I ordered chicken wings & the french onion soup from them and it took 90mins for them to deliver the food. If I would have known that it would take that long, I would have never placed the order in first place. The wings came with two sauces(I got bbq and blue cheese) and they were a joke. Wings were soggy & lots of fatty meat. The soup contained mostly huge chunks of leeks and not so much regular onions. The container was only three quarter full and had a huge piece of bread IN the soup, which had basically soaked up all the broth, which was probably the most edible part of that soup. I was appalled. Never ever have I received such crappy food. Couldn’t eat either one of the items. Don’t waste your time and money.

Came in early Saturday night, plenty of tables but still didn’t feel empty. Great looking pizzas to grab a slice in the front. We ordered a greek salad and Sicilian pizza. Salad was a big portion, 2 of us split it. Pizza was huge and tasty. We got meatballs on it, lots on the pizza. meatballs were just ok though filled with breadcrumbs. Pasta is supposed to be homemade according to the guy that handed me a menu outside of the place. Will definitely return to try pastas and main dishes

I don’t write reviews. This is my first time. But I ordered delivery and I waited almost 2 hours for pasta and a salad. Their delivery driver was lost for 45 minutes. I have never been so hangry in my life. And I hadn’t even tried the food. All they said was sorry, he was lost. Also, the food was mediocre at best and I will NEVER order from here again. Word to the wise, order from Albas pizzeria.

Thank you so much for the free pizza, PizzAstoria!!! It was delicious! I think it was really nice for you guys to give out free slice to the neighborhood! Your pizza was fantastic(great sauce and yummy cheese) and I can’t wait until you are up and operational to check out the rest of your items! Welcome to the neighborhood!

Free pizza on day one? AWESOME! The line isn’t even too bad and their staff seems really cool and friendly. I’ve been waiting quite some time for this place to open since I live practically up the block from them. Their regular plain cheese slice isn’t bad. It’s simple but tastes like they actually use good quality cheese. Their tomato sauce has an interesting slightly sweet finish, but it’s not bad. I will definitely be back :).
