This is a good place. It is clean and inexpensive and they do a great job! Not sure why the reviews were bad previously, but I’ve been coming here for a few months and haven’t had a bad mani-​pedi yet.

I don’t know why this place is getting bad reviews. I have been going to Stone Nails since 2010 and never had a problem — they always treated me well, got the job done nicely and usually you don’t have to wait much. If you are looking for a spa experience, you landed in the wrong place; but if you need a quick mani/​pedi with no frills that will look great, you won’t be disappointed.
Once I forgot a credit card there and they made such an effort to get it back to me, I was impressed.
The place might need some work, but it is clean. Hard working people, with skills and good service!

New to the area and out of the other 5 places i tried including Blossom 2 Nails this was by far the best gel manicure ive had by far. the girl did a thin coat not the usual thick gloppy uneven mess and made me dry for a long time and it really made the difference. i havent had a pedicure there yet the place looks a bit dirty but ill report back

This used to be my nail place for a quick and cheap mani/​pedi. Unfortunately, the quality is terrible, and it went even farther downhill. The last two times I’ve gone for a manicure, they cut me. Yes, not one time, but last TWO times. With two different manicurists. And they didn’t even apologize. They just ignored it while my cuticles were bleeding. I have gotten manicures for years, and this is NOT a normal occurrence or something that happens to me often (actually these were the only times ever) so it was definitely their fault. There are much better places to go in Astoria. I do like the cheap price, but it really isn’t worth it!

They do a good job. No frills establishment. Watch out about the $ 15 mani/​pedi deal, it’s only for a certain times a day on the weekdays but the sign doesn’t specify and you end up at $ 17 for a mani/​pedi — still an OK deal, but a little bit of false advertising in that regard!
