No worth your time or money. With so many Mexican food restaurants to choose from I would avoid Creekside Tacos like the plague. The service and food were mediocre at best. The only reason I have 3 starts is because the ambiance is fun with the sand volley ball court and beach feel. Trust me when I tell you that food is terrible.

Had the taco basket and a fried shrimp taco. The shrimp taco was excellent. Had a chicken and beef taco. My kids kept saying how good the tacos were. Got my order to go wished they included salsa and sour cream in the bag

We’ve been back 5 times since my first review. Three times as dine-in customers and 2 times getting take-out. Each of the 5 times since the initial visit at least one person has ordered the crispy beef tacos and they’ve been consistently overcooked. It’s a delicate balance, I get it, but that’s their business: make tasty tacos. I would have knocked them a star or perhaps two for the inconsistency but the reason for a revision to one star is the asinine seating policy. If there are 8 tables open they won’t seat you because that’s how the guy throttles his kitchen flow. He admitted that’s how he keeps his kitchen order-level even. I asked to be seated and mentioned that we’d drink a couple beers and maybe eat some chips while we waited for our food. He told me that he doesn’t do that because the kitchen would get backed up with orders. How about this for a strategy: have your host explain the limited capability of your small kitchen and thank your guests in advance for their patience. Seat them, serve them drinks, chips or some pre-prepared tapas-type item to keep them from getting restless. Train your host staff to communicate effectively and provide the appropriate context about the operational capability of your kitchen. It’s tiny — we understand — what we don’t understand the the complete idiocy involved with the policy to not seat customers as a way of controlling order flow.

I hesitate to give this place a good review because I don’t want everyone in QC to go. The food was great, service fantastic and atmosphere spot on. Expected a wait for a Friday night. The kids played cornhole and volleyball while we waited. The food? So great. So nice to have such a great place to have so close. We’ll be back.

Such bipolar reviews, mostly 1’s and 5’s, so I found it difficult to decide if I should try it. But try it I did, and had a good experience. The service was great for me. Quick, friendly, attentive. With all the complaints here about poor service, I timed it. We were seated immediately, though it was crowded. Despite the big lunch crowd, our server got our drink orders right after we sat down, brought chips and salsa, and had our drinks out in 5 minutes. I like that they have craft beer on tap. She took our food order after bringing our drinks, and the food came out promptly. Time from being seated to food on the table was 28 minutes. Shrimp tacos were tasty, salsa delicious, yummy guacamole. We sat outside, which was all sand and picnic tables, so be prepared. Fun atmosphere with sand volleyball court, fire pit, music. Not a five star restaurant but we enjoyed it and will be back.

I’d really wanr to like this place. It’s close to home, and a short bike ride down the bike path. This is my third time here. First time was lunch and I enjoyed the tacos, but they took over 40 min with three small groups. The second visit, the place was closed as they ran out of food on presidents day. Today, the kitchen appears to be overwelmed. Nice owners, but they really need to figure out the service. Three strikes for me… Back to Babbo?

Upon arriving to this restaurant, I was hopeful this place would be fun. This was not the case at all. My group and I walked in, sat at a table, and waited, waited, and waited some more, before I got up and walked over to a server, only to be told they didn’t have enough food to serve. I was told we had to wait for the cooks to «catch up» to their«orders,» before they could determine if we could place any food orders. I asked politely if we could place a drink and/or water order, and she directed me to the bar. She told me I had to do that myself. Needless to say, my group and I left very dissatisfied, very disappointed, and very unhappy. By the way, I asked to speak to the manager as we were leaving and he did come out to speak to me but never really addressed the problem. No customer service, no thank you. I will never return again.

Absolutely in love. Rocky Point brought to Queen Creek. Volleyball, corn hole, sand, outdoor bar and tons of bikes. Locally owned. Great to see owners pouring thier hearts into a fabulous space. Great tunes. Food is delicious.

HUGEPOTENTIAL for this place. Good food, good drinks, good atmosphere. Now for the downside. We arrived on a Saturday around 4:30 and were told we would have about a 15 minute wait for a table. The problem was that they only have about 5 large picnic benches outside that they seat. In a place like this they’re going to end up with squatters, people who don’t leave after their meal is done. Rather than leaving when their meals are done, people will get more drinks and walk around the sand area and talk and what not, but leave all their crap on the table so they can’t be reseated with new guests. Our 15 minute wait estimate turned into an hour and a half wait until they decided to seat the inside tables, which are only about five more tables. They have plenty of room for more tables outside but the staff simply wouldn’t be able to keep up with the demand. Our kids’ quesadilla took about 30 minutes to arrive and our tacos about 45 minutes. The kitchen is very slow probably because they didn’t expect such a huge turnout. Bar service is about as slow as the kitchen, having to wait about 20 minutes at the bar to get a beer. They kept running out of ice and they only have one bathroom. Their fish tacos are very good and the margaritas are amazing. Expand the building to accommodate a larger kitchen and bigger staff and add more tables outside or risk going under, again. We saw more people take their names off the wait list and go somewhere else than actually get to have dinner there.

The people who own it has done a lot of work to the place. It is a nice place to hang out and have a drink. The menu is very limited. The tortilla chips had a seasoning on them which made them spicy. Asked if they had any with no spice and was told no, they all had seasoning. The beef taco was more like a steak taco and had a spice, meat was tough. Rice was very starchy and bland. Had the special fried chicken taco which was pretty good. You should have options for people who can’t eat anything with a spice.

Wow — where do I start? — Walked in around 12:15pm today, the 15th of Feb. — Someone finally came over to our table, in this SMALL place at 12:30pm and we ordered right away, this older lady was our waitress and looked lost. — 3 other table filled up around us within 15 mins or so… so between 12:35pm and 12:45pm. — We simply ordered tacos, the older waitress came over and asked my wife and i if she took our order around 12:50pm — WHAT? We told her about 25 mins ago yes. Should of known then right? — All 3 table around us got their food ahead of us, no, really! We stopped another waitress and told her what was happening, she said, sorry, let me go look in the kitchen, come back out 2 mins later and says, you are a couple back, WAIT, WHAT? It is 2 tacos… — 1:10 pm and still NOFOOD /TACOS — same waitress says, I am so sorry, just a couple back… at this time, one of the bus boys with a long pony tail comes walking by with 4 glasses on each finger, fingers INTHE Glasses. YUCK — Told the waitress again and she says, well, so sorry, we were going to take a few bucks off your bill. UM — Thanks for ruining a bite to eat with my wife, and we chose this place… NOTHANKS!

Love it all! Food and the staff. Sure… it can get busy and there might be a wait for food. Use this time to relax, take it all in… watch or play volleyball, enjoy their tasty margarita or nice choice of beer. Fish tacos were awesome. Great neighborhood hang out.

Went yesterday for the first time. It was Valentine’s Day on a three day weekend. The wait staff was swamped and UNDER staffed. The line to get drinks was ridiculous. When we finally got our beers they were WARM! Once you ordered food it took over an hour. The real problem for me was the staff. I get it your busy and the establishment is obviously poorly managed and shame on them for not being prepared. They should have at the very least acknowledged people…“hi, I’ll be right with you” can make such a difference. The patrons all around were disgruntled and made for an overall awkward experience. I would go back and give it another shot because we didn’t even get to eat because our party wasn’t up for the ordering challenge. It was a mess there!

The tacos are amazing! Hubby had the steak tacos combo. They were very tasty! I had the grilled shrimp taco combo. O M G. I’m in love. My 7yo had the kids quesadilla and he ate both of them The rice was super yummy. All of our meals came with rice and beans. And the bowl of chips and salsa before our meal was tasty also. Staff was very nice and attentive. They checked on us a lot and we felt taken care of. Fun games outside and fire pits going to chase away the chill. The house margarita

Stopped by there on Saturday. Not real busy, and there were four of us. We ordered shrimp and chicken tacos. It took about 15 minutes for our server to bring back our drinks. Way too long for the amount of people who were there. The food came out and it was a little bland. Nothing special. The extra charge for chips and salsa was ridiculous. Spend over 60 $ for food and drinks and they want to charge you extra for a few more chips. Nice concept, but they need to fine tune quite a bit

My Hubbs had mentioned that a new place opened up by our home. Being a resident of Queen Creek new places to eat are always anticipated. Our server was Tiffany and she was friendly, and attentive. The service overall was good. We like the place but with it being new just opening up on 12÷5÷15 we expected some quirks. There were 2 things that bothered us. 1. While eating in the dining room which is small and that is ok, a server was rolling silverware at the table next to us which was quite loud. 2. Was they don’t have just diced tomatoes as an option to pico. ? Overall I give it a B with room for improvement. We will check back once they have been open a little longer

Please don’t go here as I don’t want to have to wait in line on my next visit. Thats what is going to happen as more people find this hidden gem. Seriously though, what a great surprise. Fantastically prepared, outstanding service and a unique atmosphere. Smoked carnival with spicy pineapple salsa was full of flavor with the right amount of heat. We will be back often.

A little history… this location, which is an old house, is below street level and in the backyard of many new housing communities located on the corner of Sossman and Queen Creek Rds. PRIOR renters, and there have be at least 6 other businesses, have come and gone in 5 years… For some reason, this business owner, overhauled the property… lit it up more., added a volleyball court and lots of outdoor space… which is larger than the indoor space… when 117 degree weather hits that might be a terrible decision. The menu is limited, tacos, with store bought tortillas. I HAD the steak bowl which was so tough, I could hardly chew it… my friend could not chew his tacos at all. They comped his meal. The waitress was very nice, the manager, a sweetheart and he wanted to make it right… but based on our food I would never come back.(you earned 2 stars because of nice attitudes). Costa Vida, Chipolte, Café Rio, charge 6.00−8.50 for a superior product… Then menu is very limited and you better like tacos. Our complementary, spiced, chips, were tiny and broken. My advice, expand your menu and look and see what others are doing at their Mexican restaurants and make it better to justify 10.99, for a bowl of slop.

This place was great! We had dinner there tonight with some friends, and we sat outside. Our waitress was super friendly, the service was fast, and the food was really good(I loved the fish tacos that I ordered, plus the chips and salsa were great)! After the sun set, it got pretty cold, and the owner’s son(I think his name was Adrian) carried a heat lamp over next to our table for us – it was pretty awesome of him! On top of all of this, my favorite thing was probably the fun atmosphere and all of the activities outside. In our group, we had 8 kids between the ages of 3 – 11 years old. They all had such a blast playing in the sand, building towers with wooden blocks, playing volleyball, and tossing beanbags. We will definitely be going back!

This is a really great local spot owned and ran by locals. Great outdoor space with corn hole, fire pits, kids area and even beach volleyball. The food is really good and Art the chef is great. The service was really good and I will definitely being going back! I ordered three different tacos steak, chicken and fish. The steak was my favorite! Art even brought me out a tasting of his marinade… Fantastic. There are 4 salsas I liked the chipotle and tomatillo. The chips have a 17 spice seasoning and are delicious… I ate two bowls worth. Check it out!

Visited this restaurant for the first time. I believe they’ve been open a week. Atmosphere: Super cute & quaint! House converted into a restaurant. Beach themed throughout. Any & all clocks for décor are set to 5 o’clock. LOL They seat about 30 inside. They have a belly up bar for drinks. A few people were there enjoying themselves. Outside they have a sand play area for kids, fire pits & picnic benches, seating at the outdoor bar. Pretty spacious outside. Today they had a band playing. Staff: friendly & attentive Prices: avg. $ 10 for a meal with rice & beans Food: I had shrimp tacos. PHENOMINAL!!! Hubby had the steak tacos & he loved them as well. Tacos are a little small but full, fresh & flavorful. Something unique about the rice, in a good way, is I usually have to add salsa to Mexican rice, but this rice I didn’t need to add to. It’s different, but good. Enjoyed very much, will be back!

As a long time local, I’ve seen this place fail as four different food places, I was pleasantly surprised when I stopped by there for a quick lunch yesterday. The family has put in extensive work into the interior and exterior. Noted are a kids play area, several picnic tables and a sand cornhole area with scoreboards and three sets of boards. I came in, sat at the bar and spied the menu. Ordered a Bell’s two hearted.(one of my favorite) it came in a plastic pint cup. A glass one would have been a nicer touch.. I ordered the steak tacos which were seconded by the bartender. They showed up quickly in two nicely grilled street taco sized grilled corn tortillas. Stuffed with fresh pico and grilled steak with a hint of cumin. Yum! Choice of pinto or black. My black beans were actually too smokey, making me wonder if they were burned. My side scoop of rice was pretty standard. $ 15.18 bill and I’m out the door. I’m really looking forward to eating my way through the menu and spending some outdoor time there this spring. I’m still wondering if location is going to be this places downfall as it can be difficult to get in to and out of.

Just opened and I really hope the locals help this place survive because I just had the chicken tacos and they were amazing. The best I’ve had in all of Queen Creek and they do their hard shells right. They make them. None of this pre made shell crap you find and some other local spots. The guacamole was fantastic, and the salsa was«ok»(not the best I’ve had) but I do like he homemade chips. They have a kids menu too and looks like a full bar(I don’t drink so I’ll be useless for info on that) but it looked pretty stocked. I will be making this a regular spot. This location seems to have a curse so Queen Creek let’s help break that curse and help this new spot thrive. My wife had the steak tacos and said they were very good. So far so good. Can’t wait to go back!!! I posted some pics of the food too.
