The food was just okay. Typical American style food. Just okay– nothing special. I think I’ll try the Waffle House next time.

Breakfast with a group. Actually, multiple groups. Two servers had it under control. Attentive, friendly service. Good, properly prepared diner food. No surprises. Who wants surprises when a hot, tasty meal on Saturday morning is all it takes to start the day.

Place was good. Taste like home cooked food. I got a Reuben that came out perfect. We waited for quite a long time for our food, a little too long considering how few people were there. But i still say that if you’re in the Quantico area and can get on base, give this place a try. Staff is friendly and prices are decent.

Another great place to eat at. If you want a burger, get the Bo Burger. It is great and huge. Their Triple Decker Sandwich is great with crispy bacon. On Wednesdays they usually have their special which is Bimbimbap. It’s a bowl of rice with veggies, eggs, spices, and meat and it will hit the spot.

Tried this place today and I’m so glad I wasn’t deterred by aesthetics. Fast and friendly service, reasonable prices and good selection on menu. I had the TBM with chicken sandwich(tomato, basil, mozzerella) and it was amazingly delicious! I’ll definitely head back!

Great place for breakfast and lunch. Haven’t tried dinner, that’s why I’m not putting in my input for it. But you definitely have to try their sandwiches. The fruit was fresh and the service is very good!

Came here for brunch with co workers and I ordered the breakfast burrito and it was stuffed with a choice of meat [bacon], eggs, green pepper, tomato, and I think onions. It came out all nice and hot with a side of hash brown. It was delicious. The place looks clean and so does their cups and utensils. Their prices are priced lower than their neighboring restaurants. You pay up front when you are done! And their water don’t taste like sink water!

5 stars for sure. Even the slight inconveniences(parking, busy a lot) are worth it! Burgers are tasty, salads are tasty, I’ve never had a bad meal here. Bring quarters for parking!

Not a bad little spot. Very polite staff, and service was very quick. We’ve been there on Saturday morning for breakfast twice now and I’d go back again. At first I thought the portions were really small, but they turned out to be the perfect size for all of us. Prices are fantastic, I think we average about $ 7 a person with coffee and a meal. Would definitely recommend if you were in the area. Note: They don’t bring the check to your table here, they hold them at the front counter and you go up. and pay whenever you’re ready.

Not sure how you could not like S&G. Cheap & delicious food: check. … End of checklist. The service here is always friendly and very fast even for the dishes that«may take a while.» I’ve only ever eaten breakfast here so I Can vouch for the Anaheim sandwich, the pancakes(both chocolate chip & plain), the grits, home fries, and Western Omelet. Highly recommend you stop in and try any one of those things for a quick and satisfying breakfast. Each time I’ve been to S&G has been with a group and I’ve yet to hear anyone complain about what they ordered. The only downside to S&G is that it’s small. But, the fact that it’s a small, quaint diner is what’s sort of endearing about the place. It’s definitely worthy of a visit the next time you’re inexplicably in Q-town. (Actually on Unilocal right now because I was hoping to find the hours of operation. No dice. I’ll add those the next time I grab a bite here.)

Really good food at really good prices. My co-workers and I went during the height of the lunch Tyrah and the staff was slightly overwhelmed and inattentive but were still very polite and apologetic. Between the 5 of us, we tried and loved the California Grill sandwich, tuna melt, hot ham sandwich, and the fried chicken salad(which was really large). The bread of all of the sandwiches it’s perfectly and deliciously toasted with a perfect butteriness that was tasty and not overly greasy. We’ll definitely be back again soon.

I love this diner! Food is always amazing here, it never fails! The staff are very friendly and attentive. Try the Bo Burger! Burger with egg and jalapeño in it– soooooooo good! I stop by here every time I am in Quantico for breakfast/lunch. Plus it’s cheap and quality of food is amazing for the price. It really beats anything else in the area!

S&G is a very quaint diner in Quantico. The best in Q town! The food, the price, and the service is awesome. Oh not to mention the speedy service. How can it get better than this at any restaurant? Although the place can get very busy at times, the owners/employees try to be attentive to all of their customers and make the experience as personal as possible to the regulars. Things I have tried and loved: Breakfast burrito(Sausage, cheese, veggie omelette in a wrap) so delish! You can also customize it to your preference like ham or bacon instead of sausage. Steak and Eggs– They use good steak for the price Anaheim– good breakfast sandwhich Country Fried Steak– Their SOS sauce is awesome Grilled Chicken Wrap/Turkey Wrap– They have the chicken wrap, but I asked if I could try it with Turkey instead. One of the best! A very good size and fresh California Grill Sandwhich– It’s a turkey, bacon, avocado, cheese etc… on a toasted sourdough bread. This is also one of my favorites. . I like their home fries. I like how they are real cut up potatoes and slightly fried. This is just way fresher and healthier. There’s nothing bad I can ever say about this place.

I had the Bo Burger, with fried egg, jalapeño peppers, grilled red onions, LTM and swiss cheese. In my best Mexican accent — el yummo! You don’t need a suit and tie to visit this place. Nice interior, very friendly staff, good food. Free wi-fi!

This was my first visit. Very friendly staff. I ordered the Horseradish Roast Beef for my wife(to go) and waited less than 5 minutes before it was ready. She really liked the sandwich, just wished there was a bit more horseradish sauce. We’ll definitely go back.

The Bottom Line: Great old time feel in old time Quantico Town and a solid, cheap breakfast and lunch to boot. I caught a train early one morning into D.C. and stopped here for breakfast. The food came out lightning fast; I ordered the American Breakfast, though the poached eggs on toast are good as well. The staff is friendly, thoughtful, and if you are regular, which it looks like there are, they seem to even know your order! While I seldom go to Quantico, I would go again. This places food and prices are unbeatable.

Superb diner. Has a very steady, regular crowd of Marines, Govt Civilians and contractors. Open for breakfast and lunch only. Over several years, I’ve tried everything on the menu. It’s all good, fresh, plentiful and pleasing looking on the plate. Service is good. Just know that you have to get up and pay at the register.

Convenient location to Quantico Amtrak stop, I ate breakfast here with my father when he picked me up for a holiday visit. I can’t say anything too good or too bad about this place. Its a plain ol’ diner. Has a bit of a worn feel to it, but nothing that would sketch anyone out. Our server seemed to be having an off day because she seemed absent minded about several things with our order, and when we were clearly done with our meal we waited for a good few minutes before my dad flagged her down to say we were done with our meal. When asked for the check, our server unceremoniously pointed us to the front. To her credit, the dining room was pretty packed, but it was just surprising. I got the Anaheim sandwich, which was pretty ok. $ 5 – 6 for a big breakfast sandwich that I couldn’t finish in one sitting. Yay leftovers! I don’t remember my father’s order, but he seemed to enjoy it well enough even though parts of his order were forgotten. If I was in this area again, I might look for another place more interesting/attractive and use S&G as a fallback.

This is a great little place for breakfast in Q-Town. It is a pretty small place just across the street from the VRE/AMTRAK station, and it has a very old-school, small-town feel to it. The service has always been friendly, and the prices are very reasonable. The breakfast food is your basic tasty local diner food; omelettes, homefries, and good coffee. If you are looking for a good place to grab breakfast in Q-town, this is a great choice.
