McDonald’s

Don’t go thru the drive-​thru or you will be asked to pull forward because they don’t have your food ready. Have been going there for two years and 60% of the time they ask me to pull up and wait. Now I tell them if the food is not ready, give me a refund. The managers and owner do not give a shit about the business. Complain about anything to one of the managers and you might as well talk to the toilet paper roll. Forget reaching the owner, he is lost in some country somewhere and will not return your calls. Like I said, he does not give a shit about his customers. Hands down, this is the worst McDonald’s I have ever been to. Thank God the Chick-​Fil-​A opened in Purcellville. At least they are courteous, professional and have the food ready. Hopefully, they will tear the McDonald’s down and put a Burger King in there! Could not give «0» stars like they deserve. Avoid this place and go somewhere else. Corporate should be ashamed of this location. My question is: what the hell are they going to do about it?

The bathrooms were hard to take a shit in due to the amount of fruit flies flying in my mouth. I informed an employee and was abruptly ignored and he actually made fun of me after he walked away. This is a piss poor example of a place to eat and I hope the owner of this place takes action soon before he gets shut down

MY STORY
I’ve used to come here quite often during my middle school years when my mom was on a craze to use almost every single McDonald’s coupon she’d received in the mail. Needless to say, I gave it a 3-​year break, and only ever go if:
a) I want breakfast, a Filet-​o-​fish or Angus Mushroom Swiss Burger
b) Friends want to go (and I can’t convince them to go elsewhere)
c) They release a new line of Hello Kitty toys, which leads to me buying 8 Happy Meals (each with a different Hello Kitty toy) just so I can collect them all
PROS
–Speedy 5−10min service
–Decent amount of places to sit
–Acts as a teen hangout spot in a town with almost no teen hangout spots
-(With permission) Can ask employees for an interview for school projects
–Can spot students from the local schools
–Can decently communicate with employees in English
–Employees are willing to root through their Happy Meal toys to satisfy your ever-​growing obsession for anything Hello Kitty (At least, if you’re buying a Happy Meal)
CONS
–Employees sometimes have thick accents (makes communication a tad difficult)
–Can spot students from the local schools
–Is overcrowded during lunch and dinner times (both inside and out)
–Drive-​thru is overcrowded during breakfast times
–Parking spaces are a bit too close to the drive-​thru
–The lower blow dryer in the girls bathroom still doesn’t work after their renovations to the restaurant
–Acts as a teen hangout spot in a town with almost no teen hangout spots (sporty/​preppy kids near the front, hooligans/​troublemakers near the back)
–The parking lot area and area near the restrooms gets filled with bored teenage hooligans who like to vape/​smoke/​loiter/​play music from their cars around 9pm at night (especially on Fridays and Saturdays)

I was in here on Sunday or Monday night. There was a huge line in the drivethru so I decided to go in. There were 3 people ahead of me. The lady at the register hadn’t even ordered yet. She made a comment about how she’s been waiting, The cashier yells at her saying «I wanna leave too.» I’m not sure if they knew each other. After she ordered, she then made a comment saying no pickles, he turns to her and goes «WHAT?! What do you want now?!» She didn’t once raise her voice. We asked the people in front of us how long they’d been waiting to order. It was going on 20 minutes. After that we walked out. I didn’t want to order food from someone so angry. I will never come back here. The last few times have just gotten worse. Get better staff.

Worst McDonalds I’ve been to. As a local, I have watched It has get worse over the years. Terrible service. Soda never mixed properly. Food is not made well. Hoping these bad reviews on Unilocal will encourage the management to pull it together.

Stopped by late at night (after midnight) for a quick pick me up as we were headed home from my husband working. Took 5 minutes before our order was taken, another 5 minutes before our money was taken at the window. Then we had to wait another 5 – 10 minutes for our food (2 mcchickens, a double cheeseburger) nothing special. Looked like the manager was not happy about a situation inside the restaurant. The food was hot, and our order was correct, but the wait was ridiculous. There were no other cars in the drive thru. I would not recommend.

I go to this McDonalds because it is one of the only fat food places in town. Over the last 6 months it has steadily gone downhill. ¾ of the time they have you pull forward and wait in their little spaces. Lately the problem is that they’re burgers don’t seem to be cooked 100%. When I called to tell someone I was left sitting on the phone for ten mins.
I think I’m just going to pass on this place from now on.

Relatively quick service at the expense of the correct meal — not only did I receive the wrong breakfast sandwich, but it was cold and chewy. Not appetizing.

I must be living in a parallel universe because I hit this McDonalds, at least, a couple times a month, and they’re awesome. It’s always breakfast, and they’ve yet to screw up a single order.

I’ve eaten at McDonald’s from Virginia to Florida, many of them and the Purcellville location is the worse I’ve EVER been to out of at least a hundred different ones, but at least they are consistent. They suck really bad every time I go there. They cant get an order correct to save there lives. good luck ordering in the drive through unless you understand spanish well over a noisy crackly speaker… and be ready to wait for several minutes when you pull up to the menu. They are just really bad. I don’t even order food anymore, just sweet tea and they cant even get that right 100% of the time. I cant tell you how many times they hand me a bag of food when I ordered just a drink with a glazed look on their faces. At times even the tea is SO nasty and old tasting that I have to take it back of just throw it away. The food, when I ordered it was usually ice cold with stale bread… didn’t really matter what you get… its ice cold and looks to be a day old. I’ve called the number to complain a few times… they don’t really seem to care at that place. They have NO redeeming qualities but they don’t have any competition in Purcellville so they got you.

What does every Unilocaler here have in common?
We’re all reviewing a McDonalds for the first, and realistically, only time in our short lives… It’s that bad. The food is terrible to be sure, yet its the remarkable ability to failblog my order. every. single. time. that has me posting this –3 star review.
Crap. 1 star is as close as I can get to explain this McDizzles complete disdain for ‘meh’… they push right past mediocrity with zeal! Hitting a confident stride that stanks of self-​loathing and forgetting my sweet n’ sour sauce yet again.

I have given this restaurant NO stars! The site unfortunately won’t let me do that.
For many years, while living in VT and traveling, I have actually enjoyed the salads when needing a quick meal. Ok, they aren’t great, but they will more than do it in a pinch.
This McDonalds is filthy and the service is awful. The «help» really don’t seem to care whether they get your order right. Since I moved down here, I have tried this restaurant twice and gave up in disgust.
Even my 10 year old grandson, who craves the chicken McNuggets hates this place.
On to Leesburg for my salads!

Just so disappointing. Poor service, food and management! Too sad. This store used to be so much better. I hope they can get straightened out. Who doesn’t want to love Mc Donald’s on occasion?

This particular restaurant has made some improvements over the last few years but it has a long way to go. We generally avoid it and only go for breakfast.

Even by the low standards with which I judge McDonald’s, this one amazes me. In the nine years I’ve lived here, they have yet to get my order correct. We’re not talking about making changes here. We’re talking about small cheeseburger, mustard only, unsweetened iced tea.
The only time I go here is when I’m in a hurry and have to eat and drive (call the sheriff, she’s multi-​tasking behind the wheel!). My only other choice in town is Taco Bell — no way! If only there was a Sonic in town. I wish I had the money to open a franchise. I’d be ultra-​rich in six months. Here’s a tip: taste your beverage before you leave the drive-​thru no matter how busy they, or you, are. At least you can get that changed at the window and actually GET WHAT YOU ORDERED.

Went in here recently and noticed there had been some renovations since my last visit. I thought to myself, «Hey, maybe this McDonald’s is on the upswing.»
Uh, no.
Good grief. One of the new seats was already ripped to shreds by the local riff-​raff and was just left there, exposed.
I just cannot see myself ever visiting this McD’s location again.

What in the world? If McDonalds Corporate offices saw the interior of this place they would have a fit! Ripped up seats, tarps covering broken booths, dirty tables and floors and most of the time I can’t order what I want because, «masheenbroke» (machine is broken). First time I was in (July), my young kids and I heard a manager yelling at the employees. Unacceptable. Ray Kroc would not be happy.
I could understand if this was in a sketchy location or a heavy traffic area like a truck stop. However, this is the one fast food place (major chain) on the main street of a nice small town. How come this town puts up with this? I’ve seen the drive-​thru line several cars long — nobody wants to go inside!

Before I start my review let me preface it: I worked for McDonalds as a manager for about 3 years. Worked my way up from crew. Worked in at least 5 different locations in that period. Not just in northern Va, but also in So Cal.
This particular location is the worst McDonalds I’ve ever seen. It never gets better. I keep thinking it will, and it remains the same. The whole building smells of backed up sewage. The staff is absolutely clueless. Today I was told that I couldn’t have more then 2 sauce cups because management gets angry. Remember how I prefaced my review? Management shouldn’t care how many sauces a customer asks for! That to me is just a window into bigger problems at this location.
I should also mention that it used to be an O/​O (owner operator) store. The owner lost their license to operate a McDonalds, and it was taken over by corporate. They should’ve just bulldozed it and done Purcellville a favor. If you’re in Purcellville and hungry try Tropical Smoothie Café or Haute Dog and Fries in the same shopping center. Avoid this place at all costs.
I gave it one star because I couldn’t figure out how to give it none.
