PHIL’S 41 is a must while in Punta GORDA. happy hour till 6:00 every day. EXCELLENT Prime Rib Friday & Saturday. A little noisy but that’s because everyone is having fun and enjoying their food. We frequent this restaurant often. Phil visits the tables and his waiters and waitresses smile all the time. Only one criticism … the au jus a little salty BUT you don’t really need it as the meat is perfectly seasoned

Lacking wait staff, Food not very Italian, we had to keep putting our drink glasses forward to even get the waiter to come over. Wouldn’t go back. Owner seemed super nice however.

Very popular restaurant. Went there again today at 12 noon. The parking lot was full. We got the last four spots. Even though they were busy, we were greeted at the door, table for five, Food, Service and how we were treated was Five Stars. This is one place that never disappoints.

Tucked between a mess of auto dealerships, it was surprisingly OK. Found it on Unilocal… thanks.

We found Phils on line and decided to give it a try as we are constantly looking for good food since we moved from Michigan. Well I think we found a new favorite! From the Fabulous Crab Cake, and Battered Artichoke Hearts, from the Pork Loin to the Seafood Fra Diavolo, and finally to my favorite part of the meal, the Crème Brule’!!! Everything was FANTASTIC!!! Everything taste like it was made at home, and that’s hard to find! I can’t wait to go back and try something else on the menu! HIGHLYRECOMMEND!!!

We arrived late on a Monday night in early June 2015. Off season. Dining room was closing but we were offered a table in the bar area. Tony waited on us and did a great job. He knew the wine list and suggested a Chianti that was great. I ordered the Ahi tuna with a orange ginger glaze with wasabi on the side served over rice and Asian slaw. I couldn’t get enough of this mixed with the sauce. Delicious. My wife ordered the Escargot Sofia imported snails sautéed with onion mushrooms roasted garlic olive oil white wine cream and tomatoes served over angel hair pasta. Leftovers were taken home and enjoyed the next day for lunch. This is a favorite spot of my in laws and we could see why. Oh yes Tony did a great job. Recommend you stop in while in Punta Gorda area 4 stars. Will return. Thanks Tony

Noisy, average, ordinary food. Can’t understand why it’s always so busy. I wouldn’t go back.

Had Easter dinner at Phil’s with 5 other people. I ordered the Mahi Mahi from the Easter Menu. When it arrived it was was over cooked and dry. The waitress noticed, and discussed it with Phil(the owner) but when the bill arrived we were charged the full amount. Phil came to the table and said 58 other people had ordered the Mahi Mahi and everyone said it was excellent.(yep he really said that!) He said he looked at it and it wasn’t dry. He said he would take it off and stormed away from the table. A new bill arrived with a $ 10 discount. The meal was $ 18.95, and the total for the table was over $ 200. Really??? What happened to the customer is always right? Berating the customer at the table? Not cool. We eat out often in Punta Gorda and we will not be going back to Phil’s any time soon. This was not about my wanting a free meal. I could care less about having to pay even full price. I wasn’t even going to ask for a discount — the others at the table agreed something should be done. The situation was handled horribly!!! My friends and family were rolling their eyes at the way this was being handled. Not at me!

Phis wasn’t a disappointment but it didn’t set my taste buds a dancing. The Fra Diavolo was okay. Pasta cooked well but the sauce lacked flavor and could have used a little heat. Next time I’ll try a different dish with lessened expectations.

The best jalapeño poppers I’ve ever had. The minus is the French fries had a very fishy taste as if they were fried with fish. The fried onion hamburger I had was not seasoned well and way too greasy. I could only eat half of it. I will try again since I feel I should’ve ordered Italian food in an Italian restaurant! Their specialty is definitely not hamburgers!

Meh! Not near as good as I had hoped it would be. Ordered one of my favorite Italian dishes, Veal Marsala. What was served was Round Steak in Brown Gravy. The cook used no Marsala in the sauce and the meat was definitely beef, not veal. Was I ripped off… yes. And, overall, it took an excessive amount of time to bring the food after we ordered. I would not recommend Phil’s 41 based on my experience.

Pretty much a class act place… were here with 9 of us(I think)…a pre-moving-the-boat dinner and entrees were reasonable at $ 18−26…honored a free Unilocal dessert for 7 of us!!! Thank you Phil, and thank you Unilocal!!!

We had 4 people, sat in the lounge for an early dinner on a Friday night. Two of us had the seared tuna, 1 had the lamb shank and 1 had ribs. All food was great. Our server, Sherry, was very friendly and knowledgeable too. Definitely will go back and hope to have Sherry at our table.

I’m always one for constructive criticism… had an excellent meal at Phil’s 41, usually do, but as an Italian Restaurant they should add onion to their salads and the portion of pasta served with their veal dishes was far too small… pasta is cheap… for chrissakes heap it on there!!! Overall…I will return, the staff was pleasant and the meal was way better than a previous visit in the spring.

I had a late lunch there today, basically I went there because I saw on Unilocal that they had Veal on the menu and that is what I was in the mood for. What I didn’t expect, was to have the best Veal Francese with Angel hair that I’ve had in years. The veal was superb with just the perfect amount of egg, I did ask them to add capers to it also. The meal came with their home made lentils and sausage soup which was also to die for. I WILLDEFINITELYBEBACK.

Phil’s is a good choice for those who are looking for seafood. Food– I had the pasta bolognese I do not recommend this option for those who want a true bolognese sauce. I thought it was marinara with meat. When I asked the waitress, she asked the cook, which turned into a side of the same sauce with more ground beef added. It was good but not what I was expecting. Both of my dining partners had seafood pasta dishes which they loved! Fra Diavolo and some garlic scallops. Service– Good but nothing extraordinary Wine– They had a good list and even a sale when we went. We bought a bottle for 19 and it was respectable Dessert– Try the cannoli. You won’t be disappointed. I have had many and this one was good. Crispy and sweet heaven.
