This is about as good as it gets as far as a dive bar goes. I frequent this place often with friends after leaving other bars in Cranston. Anytime before midnight the place is ALWAYS dead, the bartenders Ashlee, and Eric are amazing. They have a very limited selection, and if there’s ever anything going on in the bar that isn’t acceptable the bartenders have no problem taking control and kicking people out. During the day and until late night there’s always people there of the hard working class. After normal hours of the bar scene other than anywhere in Providence(from 1am to 2am) on the weekends the bar is always packed with a huge variety of people(ranging from early twenties to late 60s). All the young kids go with friends, and even for the younger crowd, I’ve seen maybe 2 fights there in the past 8 years I been going, once of those fights had the cops called, the other time the bartenders and the owner of the bar(who is ALWAYS there on the weekends) took care of the situation almost immediately. Love Love LOVE this place, and I LOVE going there with my friends after a good night of drinking. Couldn’t ask for anything more out of a dive bar. The atmosphere is great!

King of dive bars, I go here if I need a strong/cheap drink and it’s pretty late in the night. Stays open rather late. It’s a very small bar, hole in the wall, paint peeling sort of a place, so don’t come if you’re trying to impress anyone. Very nice regulars – they’ll talk to you if you want, but you can definitely sit alone with no problems(this coming from a girl.) The bartender on Saturday nights is FANTASTIC, he always looks out for everyone, remembers orders well, and is totally chill and relaxed. He has that good bartender sense about knowing whether you want to talk or not and he makes you feel welcome as soon as you walk in.

The Dive of Dive Bars This place is going up on my dive bar list. It looks sketchy but once you go in your not going to find a nicer crowd. A small dive bar with a good juke box and darts in the back. No food, but who cares. This place is right up my alley. Cheap beers, cooler older crowd, stiff drinks. Everything a dive bar is supposed to be!!! If your looking for a cold draft and laid back crowd this is your place. Thanks

The Tap is your iconic blue collar, bare bones dive. It’s a BYOF, booze only, hole-in-the-wall to hang out and put a few drinks down. Great for a pre-game or night cap. After work, it’s predominantly blue collar guys talking politics, sports, or shit about their wives. Late night, it’s as eclectic as it comes. The drinks are strong and cheap. It’s right off the highway, tucked right on the line of Cranston and Providence, across from the Job Lot Plaza. It’s a fun place with no dress code and no lack of personalities.

This place really used to be a proper neighborhood/dive bar. A few years ago that all changed. It’s a mediocre bar that has a touch of kitsch. Selection is very limited, prices are good, atmosphere is depressing.

This place is a must for all RI’ers or visitors who want to go off the theme bar place path — go there for a beer if there’s a game or not. You will find friendly folks enjoying the company. Professional bartenders. Bill

This is your classic dive bar. The beer is cheap. Lots of working class men having a drink, and the ocassional lady. There are chips, but no real food, unless it is a game day, the the regulars bring in something. Also they have some events through out the year. But if you want a quick beer, or to disappear this is your place.
