Bob & Timmy’s Pizza

Overhyped average pizza. Actually more like flatbread than pizza. Their pizzas are made to order but nowhere near as good as hours-​old slices at Antonio’s and Nice Slice that are just reheated in the oven. And it took nearly half an hour to come out when I was one of only two customers there.
My grilled pizza was half Spinach & Mushroom, half Margarita ($ 15). Ingredients seemed fresh, but were nothing special. Thin crust, but not that crispy and even a bit soggy. Maybe because they really load up on the toppings? It’s a decent pizza, but Providence just has so much better.

Went here after reading the reviews. Don’t let the building scare you away. Décor is definitely not their strong point, but the pizza… It did not disappoint. Service was amazing. Waitress answered all our questions and recommended the grilled crust. Crust makes this pizza… we had the Buffalo chicken. I was disappointed that she didn’t tell us it was spicy, like really spicy. I expected a bit of hot, but this was a bit more than I wanted. Overall, worth the trip.

My Office ordered here for lunch on a workday. Only ¾ of the food was delivered, and not all of it was correct. White chowder has lots of clams which is great, but the rest of the soup is mushy. Sandwiches ordered by my coworkers were nothing to write home about. Wont be ordering from here again as its clear they cant handle high volume lunch orders.

Delicious Pizza and Huge Salads, Bob & Timmy’s is a Federal Hill contender. They make a completely different style Pizza then Caserta down the way, but both are amazing!
To attest — we bought pizza from both locations one evening and tried to decide which was better… by the time they were gone, no one could choose a favourite.

Based on the reviews and reputation I’m thinking we had a very bad cook that night we ordered a take out pizza. We ordered on the recommendations of Unilocal and friends. We ordered a sausage mushroom and pepper pizza. It *looked* fantastic (on the regular crust) Then we got home…
The crust was legitimately RAW in the middle! It was so raw the parchment paper was stuck to the food so we had to toss out about a third of it to start. We put the pizza in a 375degree oven for 20 min to finish it off and it did nothing for it.
We had one last go with eating and there was so much cheese on it it was squeaking while we ate it. I’m one for extra cheese but… We just couldn’t. Why didn’t we call or take it back? We live clear across town and it was 10pm.

Fast and Friendly service. Ordered fried pickles and a grilled pizza. Both were very tasty. Looking forward to coming back soon.

I saw Bob and Timmy’s featured on Man vs. Food and I decided to try it! I had the everything pizza (that was on Man vs. Food) and it didn’t come up short of my expectations! The toppings were FRESH as can be and the flavors mixed together were incredible! I’ve lived in the area for years and I cannot believe I’ve never been! Will definitely be back for more!

We are late bloomers when it comes to recognizing Bob & Timmy’s as very good pizza. We have put it off for so long for no real reason at all.
One Friday night, as we drove to our favorite liquor store on Smith St., we decided to seek Unilocal’s assistance in helping us choose a pizza for the night. Bob & Timmy’s came up, so we decided that we would pick up on federal hill. Seeing that we were already out and learning that there was another location in North Smithfield, we decided to be adventurous Rhode Islanders and drive the 15 minutes.
The restaurant is very spacious, and not very homey, but they do have a nice outdoor space.
We ordered the classic, wood oven pepperoni, which was delicious, and only $ 13!!! This was unreal. We have paid so much money for pizza in our lives.
Seeing that the pizza was so good, a few days later, we decided to take my best friend who was visiting from CA. She ordered a pasta dish which was also delicious! The pasta, which was cheesy and perfect immediately put Bob & Timmy’s on our emergency restaurant list (restaurants we go to in a pinch if say, we don’t really want to cook).
We frequent the federal hill location when we just want take out and don’t want to go too far.

This was some of the best pizza I’ve ever had! The pepperoni were so tasty, the grill the crust and use parmesan cheese! Delicious! Can’t wait to go back the next time I’m in PVD!

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in North Attleboro and when I checked in, I asked the Front Desk girl where is great to eat dinner but yet delivers. Without a second to pass, she spouted out Bob and Timmy’s. She said it was the best she had and she lives here! So, I logged on and ordered the BBQ Chicken Pizza and the Shrimp and Corn Chowder. The pizza… MY GAWD, is it flavorful. Crisp thin crust, tangy BBQ sauce, ample chicken and since it was 21 degrees outside, it was still piping hot! The corn chowder literally burned my mouth because it was so hot, which I like. Nothing worse than cold food that is supposed to be hot! Ample shrimp, corn, potatoes and a somewhat sweet flavor to the soup. My only wish… that they would open up a franchise in Tampa, Florida, where I live! All I can say is WOW, WOW, WOW!

Honestly, this place is delicious. I love the vodka sauce on the pizza, and the cheese /​grilled pizza /​sauce combo is just perfect. The only complaint I would have is that it is a little drafty.

Love this place. No frills, nothing fancy pizza joint on a side street off Federal Hill. We have had the grilled pizza and salads many many times. Everything here is delicious. I had an eggplant and cheese calzone with sauce on the side for dipping. The crust was perfectly cooked and stuffed with cheese and breaded eggplant. I could barely eat half. My hubby ordered the turkey sub heated, and we took home a chicken cutlet sub for my son. All was delicious.

I had been dying to try Bob and Timmy’s as it had been recommended to me by a friend. We ordered the classic pizza and Caesar to go. The pizza was pretty good (a lil soggy but I will attribute that to that take out) but what really made me have to rate this place so low was the Caesar salad. It tasted exceptionally fishy! It actually made me feel pretty sick and I wonder how long it had been sitting around. I thought that we would be getting a decent caesar from a pizza place on Atwell’s but I was totally mistaken. I would also recommend that for takeout Caesars they leave the dressing on the side. I really really wish I would have specified that so I could have at least salvaged the lettuce. I had to throw the entire salad out after only having 2 bites. I really really wanted to love this place so am pretty disappointed.

Came here for dinner with a group of 6 and everyone enjoyed the grilled pizzas. We ordered the veggie, mushroom trio, spinach and mushroom, lasagna and eggplant parm pizzas and took a vote on favorites — eggplant and lasagna were our front runners and unanimously enjoyed. The mushroom spinach and mushroom trio were delicious as well, but the veggie was the last to be eaten and was a bit bland. We topped it all of with the dessert pizza which had mixed reviews — it is literally a pizza crust covered with cream cheese «sauce» and topped with fresh fruit. Half the group loved it, but others found it dry and not as sweet as we would have liked.
Our waitress was great and was very attentive for water refills and such. Wasn’t too loud on a Friday night which was appreciated!

We went with the Classic and The Margarita

The interior of the restaurant is pretty small dark and noisy. We decided to sit outside on the «patio» which means plastic table and lawn chairs and a view of a brick wall .
Our waitress Amber was extremely nice and accommodating. She made our arugula salad which was one of the few good things about our dining experience.
Here is what made the experience completely unacceptable. We ordered a lobster bisque soup and the cream in it was completely SPOILED AND INEDIBLE.
The clam pizza was with canned clams, and the bbq chicken pizza was clearly Chinese sweet and sour sauce and not bbq.
Terrible place — really do not reccomend to anyone.

First of all: if you’re not getting your pizza grilled, you’re doing it wrong. Second: eat in for a slightly crisper, more delicious experience. In the summer, sitting outdoors is glorious! Takeout will do when push comes to shove, though.
Bob & Timmy’s is one of the best places to get pizza in PVD, hands down. They have a huge variety of toppings. The pomodoro sauce is great, so pizza #2 is excellent for plain cheese. I’m also a big fan of the lasagna pizza, covered in spinach and ricotta (pro tip: add meatballs). The sausage supreme is also delicious.
The appetizers are very classic pizza joint fare (moz sticks, potato skins, etc.). Skip them and eat more pizza!

First walking in, it’s a cozy place off at wells avenue. Cozy as in 10 two tops in the place. They can place them together to make room for bigger parties.
Went to bob and timmys because of a lobster ravioli craving while my friend was craving pizza. Of course we had to try both. I even decided to have the cheese burger wrap to complete my whole bob and timmys experience.
They have won awards for their spinach mushroom pizza so we half award winning and half personal favorite — BBQ chicken. The pizza was on point the spinach mushroom was actually very refreshing. I love vegetables and it was something new — the spinach wasn’t cooked it was raw and the mushrooms was a great hint of flavor. I definitely like grill marks on my pizza and the bread/​crust wasn’t overwhelming. Enjoyed the BBQ chicken pizza as much as I did the spinach-​mushroom. Two thumbs up.
Moving forward, I liked the lobster ravioli but I could taste some flour in the hand made sauce but that just only adds into the authenticity of the pasta. It wasn’t bought frozen like some restaurants. overall, when you cut into the ravioli you can definitely see some meaty pieces of lobster. I got full off of three pieces of huge lobster ravioli.
Downside was the burger wrap, it is what it’s said to be. If you want a burger I wouldn’t chose bob and timmys. It wasn’t horrendous but it wasn’t amazing. But it is a pizza joint and that’s what they are known for. Go for the grilled pizza.
Overall, I went for the two things I was craving — lobster ravioli and the pizza and it hit the right spot. Pleasant service. Cozy setting, nothing was unbearable where I wanted to get up and leave. Based off of this first experience is give it another shot.

OMG… I’m from Alabama and this is the best pizza I probably had ever. The toppings are rich and juicy but the bread is sumthin else. I’m officially calling grilled pizza the best style of pizza made. Thanks Man vs Food for bringing me here.

Went here for lunch and the food was fantastic! We got the grilled buffalo chicken pizza with ranch instead of blue cheese, their grilled pizza is a large but you can get a regular pizza in small. I would say if you are coming here you mind as well get the grilled because that is what they are known for and take home the extras. The calamari was delicious, large portion and they were all the rings, none of those tentacles which I was happy about. As far as the actual restaurant, the table we sat at was so wobbly we need to make sure someone was stepping on the legs the entire time so we could eat. I would assume that if you are cleaning the tables off you would have noticed this and tried to rectify it for the future but that wasn’t the case.
The server was very friendly but the food did take quite a while to come out and as we were on lunch break we didn’t have a lot of extra time. We had ordered immediately after we sat down because we knew this but that didn’t make a difference. So this is a great place to come for amazing food, just wouldn’t make it a place for lunch if you are on a time crunch. Overall though the food was so good it is definately worth the trip!

Best pizza I have ever tried. I was a bit upset when my manager told my colleagues and myself that he was ordering pizza for us because I had gotten sick of plain old boring pizza but when it was time for lunch I tried the barbecue chicken pizza and I fell in love! Grilled pizza gives pizza a whole different meaning. I am enamored, I will definitely have to order again soon.

Pizza and pasta are simply delicious. We always stop in when we’re in Providence. The ingredients always taste fresh. Portions a very generous, with a to-​go box always needed when we dine-​in. Cocktail and beer list which is a nice bonus as well as some outdoor seating. Suggest any pizza with mushrooms on it or the chicken alfredo pasta. Yum!

PROVIDENCE: (SMITHFIELD WAY DIFFERENT) Went to B&T about a year ago and really liked it. Went back on Sat. and decided this is my favorite pizza place. Well worth the hour drive from Natick ! Cheeses pizza was Amazing as well as the fruit desert pizza !! Going to try the other B&T in Smithfield next weekend. Very friendly staff/​waitresses. Enjoyable experience and very reasonable prices !!

Talk about hype. This place is listed as one of the 25 best pizzas in the world.
I’m sorry, I just don’t see it. I’ve had oven fired pizza before, and this is just ok.

We came here based on recommendations from a friend and we’re not disappointed. We visited for lunch and were able to sit outside on the patio. There is plenty of seating on the patio and comfortable. Outside music playing and bonus, you get to people watch while you relax!
Anne and I ordered an arugula salad with grilled vegetables with the house dressing. The salad was fresh and tasty… very good with the grilled veggies and house balsamic dressing.
We ordered the margarita pizza wood fired… it was delicious! The cheese was still melting when the pizza arrived. It was very good and a great choice for lunch.
They have several beers on tap, Anne enjoyed a 21^st century American ale beer and I had my usual Sam Adams summer ale.
This a great place to visit and enjoy pizza and beer!

Great recommendation from a friend if mine. Who knew Providence has some awesome grilled pizza and even in Federal Hill it was reasonable and delicious.
Started with an arugula salad with the addition of grilled vegetables (which they were nice enough to add) and added a nice comexity and crunch. And can we talk about the house made vinegtrtte… Definately not oil based, more of an aeloi, but tasty to dip my salad in.
For the pizza I split a margarita pie that they serve with prosciutto. Game changer!!! Really. Take fresh mozzarella and add the salty prosciutto and you have yourself a winner. I might add this topping to all my pizza in the future. The crust was chewy without being tough and had a great taste to it. Topping to crust ratio was also spot on.
In addition they also have some crazy pizza combos (lasagna and macaroni and cheese) but. I am sure they would be just as good as what I had for lunch.

Not sure pizza was quite right, topping was cold should have said something but didn’t. bottom was grilled and cheese melted but sauce and pepperoni was cold and dough was soggy not crispy like last time.
