Paradise Grill is no longer at Princeville Center… I miss taking my kids there after a day at the beach for a full meal-deal… and a beer or two.

Not my style. Touristy and not-so-friendly are my takes on it. I’d rather go further up the road and hit up the Tavern.

Service: The service was horrible. We had to get our own forks, napkins etc… We asked for our checks to be separated because we were a party of 5 and the server got upset when we kindly reminded her of this fact after she brough one bill to our table. The table top was a surfboard, which look really cool, but items from out table kept sliding around seeing how the surf board was not fastended to anything and now wax had been applied to the board. Our food was overpriced, dry, bland tasting, and flavorless. We had French fries as part of the order and they were hard and saltless. The daquiari we ordered had no flavor and the 8 oz burgers were more like 4 oz burgers with a 16 oz price tag. Our water never got refilled even though we told our server we were drinking water as our primary beverage. I and my friend will never eat here again unless it is the last place on the island to eat food at.

We went for dinner here right after arriving in Princeville. I had a very well prepared buffalo burger and enjoyed every bite. We enjoyed the music that was playing in the courtyard. Nothing fancy but nice enough.

Good atmosphere. Decent food. Strong drinks. Open till 10 after everyone closed. Great service. Blackened Fish sandwich was great. Fries not. Would I rave about coming here? no. Would I come back? Yes.

We stopped in at this place on a whim, and was pleasantly surprised. The burgers were fantastic and the waitress had a few good recommendations for drinks! By far the most memorable part of eating here was seeing Will Smith(yes the celebrity) just hanging around the shopping center. He’s one of my favorite actors and it definitely made the stop worthwhile. Still, people don’t believe me that I saw Will Smith, and my wife frequently argues with me about how close he came to our table, but I know what i saw dammit!

Great fish and chips and shrimp. You must order the chips and salsa. Menu is limited but definitely worth the stop especially if you are in Princeville.

Delicious!!! We got the special and it was great! The prices were ok. The only thing that would have been nice was some air conditioning, but it wasn’t too too bad in the shade.

I have to say, bread… needs work. how dare they serve it not even toasted? fries are a nice golden brown, and crispy, just how I like it. I got the fish sandwich, which came with ahi. someone should work. on their.knife.skills. I appericate the large heaping pieices, but it made it impossible to eat in sandwich form, so I took. the knife and fork route. I also came here for breakfast, since they are the only ones in the plaza that serve breakfast after 10:30… I got the macademia nut pancakes, and they were soo delsih! the pancakes were light, fluffy, and flavorful, and the syrup was great. i do wish that the syrup to macademia nut ratio was less. I also had some omelette. it was decent. The potatoes were good too! very flavorful, but some were a bit overcooked and dry.

We stopped here after flying over from the mainland and not wanting to venture far from our condo in Princeville. I ordered the steak sandwich, my wife ordered the mahi mahi sandwich, daughter got the fried seafood combination, and her friend ordered the chicken strips. Course we started with pineapple daiquiri and jalapeño poppers. Poppers were okay, daiquiri was mostly foam but hit the spot. My sandwich was fair, I was expecting a small rib eye steak, but it was pieces of steak in the sandwich. Mahi mahi sandwich was«alright». The seafood combo was very good. Chicken strips was pretty bad. Next time will drive further to get better food.

CJs Steak & Seafood was our choice for the evening until we arrived and the hostess told us four that it was going to be a very long wait. Now we walk right by and enjoy a Crab dinner with beautiful Mai Tais at Paradise. We always have fast, friendly service. I love that they are not uptight. Now we come here every trip. We hit this place after a day at Anini Beach. Life is a beauty.

Much better experience than some of the other reviewers. We wanted to hit the food trucks last Thursday, but they were closed by 3:30. Stopped in to use the ATM and decided to have a seat a Paradise Grill. We were greeted by the female bartender, who was very friendly and on the ball. Ordered 2 yummy(the strongest we’ve had yet) drinks and even convinced her to get us 3 extra pineapple slices. We ordered the«Fish of the day» Sandwich and«Fish of the day» Cajun Salad, per her recommendation. The Ahi on both was perfection, as was the salad. The sandwich bun and the fries needed improvement, but this was the only negative. We were full and happy and the bill was right at $ 40. For sure a good deal by Kauai standards. (That Cajun Ahi salad is still the #1 dish we’ve had so far after day 5 on Kauai — when in doubt get that!)

Stopped in here late one Saturday night after more than 12 hours of travel. Near tears, exhausted, and cranky — all I wanted was a decent, solid meal in my stomach. Paradise Bar and Grill delivered. The wait staff was friendly and didn’t rush or pressure us. I ordered a no-frills burger and fries. The meat was tender and juicy(way better than I expected, honestly) and the fries were crispy and actually really great. My companions had no complaints about their meals either. The prices are extremely fair, especially considering how expensive everything else is around it. We ate many worse, more expensive meals while we were on Kauai. I would come back here, for sure.

Good food, good prices, great drinks. Friendly staff. The woman singing shrill folk songs… not so much. We sat as far away from the Saturday night entertainment as possible. I’m sure some people really like soprano folk songs. Not this dude. However. The music is easy enough to avoid for the most part. Go for the food and the drinks. It’s a decent spot. The kid didn’t like the cheeseburger since it was«cooked to death» the blackened Ahi was a bit spicy — just how I like it. Fantastic when you ignore the sesame seed bun. Decent seafood and a rocking bartender. The Lemon Martini’s were terrific!

Eww. BLAND and thin burger dripped a puddle of grease. Appropriately enough it was complemented by over-cooked string french fries. So well done, they were hollow and crunchy like potato chips. They too were bland like cheap freezer section fries. Even the black pepper was cheap. Shaker was grimy. What does their kitchen look like if they cannot keep these clean?! Gross and tacky. Go to Hanalei Gourmet for great burgers, fries, desert and a delightful Hawaiian atmosphere!

Dining is limited in Kauai. We came here after driving back from the beaches on the north side of the island. We weren’t looking for anything spectacular, just filling. Our waiter, a blonde surfer dude was friendly and talked to us a bit about the large wooden surf board hanging on the wall. The food was ok. I got the chicken burger with fries. It came to $ 11 which isn’t too bad. Good place to go if you’re hungry and just need a quick bite to eat.

Yes! We were fans! Service was fast and friendly. Tab was about $ 115 after tip and tax for 4 of us. We got the potato skins and onion rings for starters — very tasty. Entrees: 2 of us had the Fried Seafood plate(crab cakes, fish and shrimp); 1 had fish and chips; 1 had veggie delight platter. All were very happy with their meals — fresh and tasty! We shared a pitcher of a nice local beer and finished it all off with their mango/raspberry cheesecake. All was very good and reasonably priced. Not bad to get a good sit down meal with appetizers, pitcher of beer, entrees, and dessert for under thirty bucks each(especially in Princeville, Hawaii). ps. Another reviewer mentioned that the helpings of the fish were pretty small but we thought that they were just fine. Hope this is helpful.

I don’t understand how people don’t enjoy this place. We come at least once a week and always have great food, usually fish sandwiches. They always have a lot of fresh fish on them, more than most places on the north side of Kauai, and their price is lower than anywhere else. Compared to The Dolphin, which is higher priced and doesn’t include fries, it’s a true bargain. I highly recommend Paradise for anyone — local or visitor.

So bad. But i had no choice. Literally. We had just finished hiking the Na’pali coast(Kalalau) and were starving for some real food(dehydrated meals for the past 3 days!). We hitchhiked into Princeville and this is the first place we saw, and one of the only places that was open on a Sunday afternoon. First of all, they committed one of my pet peeves: treating customer demographics differently. We walked in(my buddy and I are two professionals with graduate education and make enough money to buy the restaurant) and were treated very dismissively. Well maybe it was because we were dirty, wearing huge backpacks, and looked young — but it’s a freaking hamburger joint for crying out loud. In Kauai. The waiter just tossed us some menus and spent all of 5 seconds helping us. Now, that would have been FINE if he did that with everyone else. However, he sat several parties near us, and spent extensive time telling them about this and that special, describing menu items, etc. etc. Separate but equal huh? So this place had crappy, generic food, and mediocre service. That’s zero redeeming qualities. Avoid. Tourist trap. Idiot waiters. Avoid.
