Great toy store with goodies for every age. I did a bunch of my Christmas shopping here. Art supplies, collectibles, kids toys, and amusing things for kids at heart. The owners are really helpful too. They close at 6 sharp though, so don’t be late.

I can’t do without this resource. It’s a friendly place with a lot of supplies for a small space.

This couldn’t have been a more magical shopping spot on our Kaua’i vacation. We must have spent an hour in the store, shopping for our six year old boy who was allowed to pick out «one toy.» Funny thing is, all of the adults walked out with old vintage toys, cool postcards, kites, sketch books and graphite pencils, watercolor pigment papers for painting on-​the-​go, and more. Considering the size of the store, this collection of toys and art supplies is very well curated and appealing to kids (and grown-​up kids) of all ages. John, one of the owners, helped us throughout our toy journey and he was lovely. Even gave us some extra batteries for the spinner-​ball poi lights our son picked out. We will visit again and again. For those who say this place is a bit pricey, they need to go home and shop on amazon and continue to lead a sheltered philistine existence.

This tiny shop packs in a lot without seeming crowded. There is a good selection of children’s books with Hawaii as the theme, cute onesies, and plenty of dragon things. It is a good place for a children souveniers that don’t have Hawaii stamped on them.
There is also about a third of the store devoted to lovely art supplies. The store feels like walking inside a happy rainbow.

Worker barked at people rudely, seemed to be annoyed by kids. At a toy store. They have a great selection otherwise. We had fifty dollars of merchandise between our four kids in hand. One of the kids was having a hard time deciding. Our three year old left a train on the ground. Manager asked and we said sorry. So sternly/​meanly he asked if we could watch our kids better. Well, we do watch our kids well and don’t generally have problems. We left our toys behind and told the manager we would look elsewhere. Our kids walked out without their toys and we explained to them that toy store workers should treat people nice. They understood and didn’t complain or cry. I just don’t get places like this. Why have or work at a toy store if you are a mean grumpy person?

It’s our go-​to spot for our daughter’s bday every year. And on top of that — we have to pop in a few times during our stay. Unique gifts — a great selection. High quality toys, games, activities. They are always so helpful, knowledgable and all-​around great people.

We searched the island high and low for kendamas and this is the only store that currently carries them. The owner was so nice and helpful. We were told kmart, walmart and a kiosk in the mall had them. None of them did. We had given up the search, then found this awesome store. Highly recommended.

I loved this little toy store! It’s a bit pricier than other toy stores, but they have a great selection of art supplies and toys. My kids picked out a Hawaiian doll, a paper doll book, and I left with a couple wooden postcards and vintage tin postcards I will use as wall art when I get home.

Yes, I’ll admit the place is a little pricey. But where else on the north shore will you find an amazing toy shop? It’s a family owned place by the nicest family ever! They have a selection of games and paint supplies. I love this place and so do my kids! We go often! They also do gift wrapping!

Went in looking to buy things for my daughter the prices were a little steep but they had some cute things. The only reason I didn’t buy the things I wanted was because the girl that works there was sooo rude to everyone that walked through the door including me!

Prices are a little steep, but the quality, uniqueness of the toys, and the service of the employees make every visit and purchase OUTSTANDING! They have everything from puppets and dolls, to addicting brain games and puzzles… AND MORE! I grew up on Kauai and this is by far the best toy store on the island. I now reside on Oahu and I cannot find a toy store that can be compared to this one.

Really incredible little toy, game and art supply store. Stopped in on the way to Hanalei, just looking for a deck of cards, and I was really impressed! Not your standard stuff; really interesting toys games, grafts and books. We picked up games to entertain us during the rainy times — bananagrams, farkle, some kind of logic card game, and 2 decks of cards, one w/​shark hologram-​type things that show them biting or eating fish — kids loved that one. John, the owner, was really friendly. Definitely worth a stop!

Welcomed with a heart felt aloha and was amazed at all the cool things in the store! Picked up wooden post cards! Super fun way to send a card to family on the main land! Little pricey, $ 6, but great way to celebrate vacation! Only two first class stamps that your hotel front desk should have!!!

We were visiting family in Kauai for Christmas and Magic Dragon had something for everyone, ranging in age for 1−½ to 94. It’s a fairly small space but I’ve wandered around big-​box toy stores for what seemed like hours with way fewer of those «EUREKA» moments I experienced at the Magic Dragon. Their puzzle selection is outstanding – Ravensburger’s best – but so is everything else. The proprietor and staff are all very friendly and helpful and will make accurate age-​appropriate gift recommendations if asked.

What a great little store! They have a fantastic selection of excellent, fun toys and also a very nice corner of art supplies. We picked up a bunch of gifts here for my little sisters, nieces and nephews. Even if you’re not shopping for any particular kid, this is still a very fun shop to stop in.
