Recently hosted a corporate dinner for 80 ppl in the restaurant and William and his team went above and beyond to deliver premier service to myself and our guests. The food was amazing, view and SERVICE. Thank you for anticipating our needs and being so easy to work with. Mahalo

Beautiful setting with gorgeous views of coast. Menu on Unilocal not accurate! Only one soup choice and no fish specials. Entrees are very small and do not include any sides so be prepared to pay $ 11 for rice to accompany that $ 504 ounce fish. It is delicious so savor every bite! Great place for foodies! Same view upstairs in lounge! We had dessert and after dinner drinks there and enjoyed the live entertainment.

Excellent but pricey dining experience. The steak was the best I had in years. The room and view was amazing and the service was first rate.

Recent visit here was ok, left feeling not satisfied. should have went back to Bubba’s. However our server was great, very friendly and made experience more enjoyable.

I love the Mero at the Kauai Grill. I had it 3 times over the course of our stay. Consistently delicious. Also love the pudding and ice cream. Attentive staff. It’s really 4.5 stars but I’m rounding up. A few minor mistakes but nothing critical.

The food is really delicious but definitely overpriced. However if you can get a seat by the window early enough to watch the sunset then it’s worth it.

Service is mediocre but the fish dishes are really spectacular. I could have eaten a bowl of the interesting Malaysian chile sauce that came with my perfectly cooked fish. Caesar salad was not awe inspiring given the cost but good. Mashed potatoes were unbelievable. Nice atmosphere. Very pricey but when on vacation I don’t care.

We wanted a special Christmas Dinner, so we thought Let’s have a fabulous meal at the St. Regis. We thought it was odd to have to stand in line for a window table when we made the reservation well in advance. We got there early and was seated at a booth overlooking Hanalei Bay. The food was very tasty, but many of the dishes were a bit small. For the $$$ we spent for the four of us, we would expect to leave feeling full. We had a really good server that checked back often, so we never had to wait for anything. It is a nice restaurant and an overall good experience.

Best ahi tartare ever! Fantastic service a cheesy wine list. I came here 6 years ago and it’s still just as good! The hearts of palm salad and scallops appetizers are delicious.

We were staying at the Westin, the St Regis sister location in Princeville and were looking forward to a great dinner. We had 5:30 reservations as did 5 other couples and we were forced to wait outside in a dark hallway for 20 minutes as they wouldn’t open the door. I can see that they didn’t want to serve early, but we all chose that place to see the view of Na Pali and we spent it in a dingy hallway. We were seated in a great seat, but the décor and musky smell of the carpet were a bit offsetting. I could get over that, but the food on the menu and the cost, especially of the wine, was over the top. We had a great waiter who was very professional. Unfortunately, and it’s not the restaurant’s fault, but there were two families with 3 screaming children and I couldn’t even talk to my wife. So with the above problems we left and went to the Makana Grill next door, sat outside, saw a beautiful sunset and had a 5 star wonderful meal. I’m sure that the price was not that different, but we were so much happier with a breeze blowing, great service and wonderful food.

Great dinner service is a bit slow, but the food was awesome. Great fillet mignon, the black pepper jam is awesome. Butterscotch pudding is AMAZING. Update: had the octopus appetizer, amazing. Bison Rib Eye, stellar, and the Brussels sprouts and creamed spinach were great too. Popcorn sundae and butterscotch pudding were sublime too.

Amazing place for dinner. We went with our whole family and despite being a very upscale environment, they accommodated two children under three without any blemishes! The view at sunset is unprecedented and this could be a very romantic setting. The ribeye, filet mignon, and mero were amazing. I highly recommend the latter. Dishes are served with sides a la carte; definitely recommend ordering sides because otherwise you’ll still be hungry. Portion sizes are slightly smaller than I am used to at other fine dining restaurants, but the taste can’t be any better. I only wish we’d decided to stay for dessert.

AMAZING!!! By far the best meal we ha w had while being on the island. It was nice to find a Restuarant that had a large selection of fish and meat. I love the Hawaiian cuisine, but having a filet was a welcomed choice. The wine list is great. Excellent selection. Everything we ordered was superb. Great waiting staff, manager was very attentive, everything came in a timely fashion and was delicious. When in Kauai make sure you dine here!

We were exhausted and full from lunch but needed something small before bed. Kauai Grill seated us without a reservation but if you come here be sure to plan ahead and reserve a table with a window view. If you come around 6pm you will most likely see the sunset during your dinner from this spot. We ordered the market salad, hearts of palm salad, tuna appetizer and sashimi appetizer portion. Everything was perfectly prepared and delicious! All of the ingredients were so fresh. Be prepared for island time and come to sit and enjoy the ambiance.

DISASTER. I am sad to have to write such a scathing review, but my experience here from the moment I sat down, to the moment I left was horrible. I have really high standards and I choose to stay at hotels like the St. Regis because there is a sense of comfort in knowing you’ll be in good hands from the beginning and end of your stay with them. The St. Regis prides itself in upscale hospitality and typically take a lot of pride in not only putting the customer first but making them extremely happy. Alas, that did not happen. Once we were seated, our server was missing in action for 20 minutes. I actually had to get up and ask the hostess to see where he went. When he finally did surface, and took our orders, he disappeared again until he brought our appetizer out. When we finished our grilled octopus, which was really delicious, and a busboy cleared our table, you can only imagine our shock when another appetizer came back out. The confusion on our faces must have been obvious because the young man who brought out the second grilled octopus looked at us like we were crazy! We knew there was some miscommunication so we patiently waited to spot our server and let him know of the mistake. Sure enough, it was a mistake and there was no attempt at an apology at the error. When our entrees came out, we were never asked once how our food was, or did we need anything(and yes, i would have loved a refill on my water). Our server had to have known that we were unhappy based on our facial expression and unwillingness to order a dessert. We saw that the manage was making his rounds and when he eventually made it to our table, we were more than happy to vocalize our discontent. I think to remedy some of the damage, they did bring out a complimentary dessert. The problem was that at that point, we just wanted to get out of the restaurant. We weren’t in the mood for dessert after being neglected for most of our meal, which was also noisy and cluttered with the sounds of many breaking dishes/glasses. Our server also accidentally splashed the tops of our feet and bottom of my dress with ice cold water because the champagne bucket that once housed ice, now had long melted and was filled to the brim with cold water, which quickly overflowed when he put the champagne back in it. He «cleaned» up some of the spill, but was oblivious to the fact that he had gotten us wet in the process. The service so poor that I don’t even remember what I ate. That doesn’t speak well about any restaurant and especially one that is at a supposed 5 star resort like the St. Regis.

The service is fairly good… relative to other restaurants on Kauai(this of course is not saying much). I found it interesting that the manager stopped by most tables in the restaurant, however, he somehow missed our table. The food was very good, though the portions were on the smaller side. The menu stated that the tenderloin came with broccoli. When the meal arrived it had 4 small pieces of broccoli which may have previously been one normal size broccoli. We specifically asked the server if side dishes were large enough to share. The server stated the sides were designed to share. The rice and mashed potato sides were large enough for two people to have one or two bites. I would be fine with the portion sizes if they were not advertised as being large enough to share. Overall, the food and wine are extremely overpriced. I had a much better meal for half the price at one of the nicer restaurants in Hanalei.

Best restaurant on the island! Yes, it’s also the priciest, but it’s totally worth it! I’m shocked by any reviews below 4 stars! We had awesome service, the food was to die for, and the location of course was gorgeous! My husband and I stayed at the St Regis for our honeymoon and decided to go big on our last night there. So we made reservations. No regrets! We had the chicken samosas(amazing!), the panko crusted asparagus as our side, I got the peppercorn ahi(our favorite), and the local grown beef tenderloin(softest and most flavorful meat ever!). Definitely spoil yourself and come here! Take advantage of being in Kauai and go big or go home! ;)

I never had a chance to visit a Jean Georges restaurant, so since we were staying at the St. Regis, I thought«why not»? The restaurant is beautiful, and wasn’t too crowded when we ate here. The staff was friendly, and the manager of the restaurant even made sure to stop by and chat with us since she knew that we were there for our honeymoon. The food was very good, and we enjoyed desert too. If you’d like to enjoy the magnificant view of Kauai from the restaurant, make sure to visit during the daytime.

Food was delicious! Had the best lobster I’ve ever had; very flavorful. Prawns wrapped in bacon appetizer was also yummy. Hubby had the nut & seed crusted mahi mahi and he enjoyed it very much. My husband and I both agree that this restaurant has the best food on the island. It was definitely our favorite.
