I have to be honest and say I hate giving such a poor review but this could be the worst food I have ever eaten. I get its a pool bar/grill but at a 5 star resort so to have a expectation of decent cuisine isn’t crazy. I ordered the cheeseburger medium and it came out as well done as piece of meat can be cooked. After one bite I was disgusted with the shoe leather taste. The waiter wasn’t very attentive as he never even asked if everything was ok as I only ate one bite of my food. I would have told him that I was disappointed. My girlfriend got the fish and chips. It was soggy and tasteless. So all in all the view was nice but the food was rancid. The resort really should have higher standards as it costs at least 700 bucks a night to stay here. Someone needs to really look at why this place is so poorly reviewed in management and make some changes.

We were here daily throughout our stay and tried pretty much everything on the menu! The service was wonderful and the food was good. The drinks? Even better! We were completely invested in the pele lemonade… and the mai tai… and the passion punch… lol It was a really FUN trip!!! The resident chickens and rooster kind of added to the ambience. And the view… OMG the view… the perfect recipe for instant relaxation. We spent a small fortune but have great memories and can’t wait to go back! Note: get the caprese flatbread!

I hate giving this 5-star location only 1 star but come on! It’s a hot mess. From the filthy, broken chairs, to the wait staff’s light blue smocks that show every spill, the bar counter that looks as though it’s never seen a cleaning and mildew on the storm windows directly over the bar seats. What happened to this place? The pool furniture is a joke. And set perfectly if your goal is to eliminate the view of the infinity edge pool extending into the gorgeous Hanalei Bay. The staff was courteous, no issues there. But whoever is managing this gorgeous property should be sent packing. We are SPG owners and stayed here while it was the Princeville, and it was everything you would expect. The hotel interior is still gorgeous, but the pool bar and grill and poolside ambiance has deteriorated and needs someone worthy of managing it.

Pretty expensive but great drinks, fantastic views, and the poke nachos were lots of fun! Not many people mention this in their reviews but other than a poolside bar, this is also a beach bar. We ordered our selections from our beach chairs. Speaking of which, this is the only venue in the north shore that has beach food & drink service.

Location is very nice, it deserves 5 stars but I marked it at 4 because the appetizer was marginal at best. The staff is welcoming but we were told to hurry up and order because the Bar closes at 6pm)-: too early! I ordered the Ahi Poke, it was so so. Ahi was tacky to touch and layered over potato chips. Hmmm, why? Best served with wontons. There was a light wasabi drizzle but it would have been better with fresh wasabi and soy sauce.

We ate here several times during our stay, choosing the veggie crudités almost daily and also ordering the lettuce wraps, Caesar salad, green salad, turkey burger, and beef burger. The beef burger is actually very good, served on a buttered bun. I also had mixed fruit, which included honeydew melon – which usually I detest. But honeydew melon in this island has tasted delicious and sweet. They serve a delicious coco-jito mixed drink made with coconut milk. We enjoyed this. I also had a premium tequila margarita on the rocks(it was a mixed special) that was very good, with some kind of red spiced salt on the rim. I had a frozen margarita that was just awful. Generally, I’d advise you to stay away from the mixed drinks from here, unless it’s a Mai tai. Order wine or beer. They are $ 16 each at the pool, which is pricey when they’re awful.

Great atmosphere. Okay food. We are not inclined to recommend this place to others or return for lunch.

High prices, but no far off from what you expect on the islands. The real downer is the service. I sat down and waited for one of the two bartenders to approach me. I sat as one of them made twice as many drinks for another guy at the bar than he ordered. He then put the two extra drinks in the fridge and left them there. Now I understand that it would keep them cooler, but ice still melts… Anyway, I sat there still while he then began opening cans and bottles of various juices and refilled the needed typical drink making items. Finally he comes to me. I order a mia tai, and guess what… he walks over to the fridge and pulls one out… Hmm, tasted ok I guess but I was not about to order the second one which was still sitting there. So I ordered a different drink. The whole time the two bartenders never made eye contact with a single patron… I don’t get it. You’re a bartender… On a beach… In Kauai… what the hell do you have to be sour about??? Your job is already better then anyone I have ever met. Whatever I guess. No tip for you sour puss. I wont return… Oh, and they close super early… WTF?

I will give this four stars for its service. My husband ordered a cheeseburger and I ordered the turkey avocado burger. I won the ordering game, but not by much. The food came quickly and the waiter was great. The best part is the view, gorgeous!

Located by the pool with a nice ocean breeze. The service was good, food was good, pretty pricey, and they had a good wine list. I was bummed they were out of all draft beers both days I was there. The ahi nachos were delicious! Watch out for the birds, they are super aggressive and will take your food.

Get the cucumber ginger margarita! Delish. The special bonus is that it comes with 2 pieces of ginger candy. Yum. Staff were so warm and welcoming and helped us think about fun things to do while in Kauai. The gluten-free Hawaiian pizza was very tasty — mostly thin and crispy. Laid back bar environment with a beautiful view of the beach. Very expensive but I guess that’s expected at the St. Regis.

This poolside restaurant at the St Regis Princeville is exactly what you would expect and want it to be. You can sit at the bar, tables, or your pool chair for service. The menu includes some healthy items such as salads and fish, as well as a hot dog and hamburger. My husband and I both ordered Mai Tais and mahi mahi tacos. They were so good! The server was very attentive and quick. The only reason I gave it 3 instead of 4 stars is the prices were a bit high; which is expected at a resort like this.

Food was alright. Not a teen friendly menu. Service was good, but not worth a return visit.

Probably the worst dining option at the St. Regis. The only good thing about this restaurant is the service, but really… all St. Regis employees are incredibly friendly and helpful. I had their burger, which for over $ 20 was one of the most mediocre burgers I’ve had. My husband had their Kahlua pork and pineapple flatbread, which he stated tastes like it was defrosted in the microwave.

The coconut smoothie was excellent! It was very sweet but after the ice melts, it’s refreshing. Beautiful view of the beach and sunny patio seating. My fish tacos were disappointing and flavorless. I would stick to just hanging out and having drinks.

Wow this is probably the quickest update to a review, but our last simple food order here took exactly 1 hour and 5 minutes to arrive at our poolside table. A Kale salad and a Turkey Burger — that’s all we ordered. Downgrade to 3 stars for inconsistent service. Ended up taking my salad to go, as I had to run to a meeting.

Sorry St. Regis, this menu needs to be overhauled. We ate here repeatedly, but never really had a good meal. The best thing on the menu is the pork slider app. The chips and dip trio are also a good way to go. I normally like a basic shrimp cocktail and this one was a little lackluster in its version of a pineapple cocktail sauce. It needed some serious heat and a different presentation. Please give me somewhere to put my tails if you are going to serve me four prawns in a martini glass. I asked the server where they intended patrons to put their tails, to which she replied, «good question» and brought us some small plates. I think the burgers are a pretty safe option as well. I actually did the chicken with chimichurri sauce, no bun, and a salad a few days. The drink menu, on the other hand, is fantastic. Yay! The Aloha Mary is definitely worth a try if you like Bloodys. The sea asparagus garnish is unique. I also love their Ginger-Lychee Caipiroska, the Antioxident Blues(3 oz pour!) and the Mai Tai. Be prepared to nap, or at least want one if you have a couple in the sun. The servers and hosts were all fantastic. Literally, the only thing wrong is the food. Just a few tweaks could make a big difference.

The staff at this pool bar provided meals for us all the way down on the beach! There were so many days where you just want to lay out in the sun and relax. and on those days. you can count on the Nalu Kai Grill + Bar to provide you with tropical libations and tasty meals to keep you satisfied! The hubs and I opted for the piña colada, featuring the island’s own, old lahaina silver rum, and I got the mango daquiri!!! To snack on, we got the kalua flatbread with traditional hawaiian kalua pork, topped with yummy caramelized maui onions, maui gold pineapple chunks and fontina cheese bits! We got this with BBQ pork sliders which had this GREAT mango BBQ sauce, served on a brioche bun! The flatbread tasted pretty solid, but the pork sliders were… OUTOFTHISWORLDBANGING. The tang and sweetness from the BBQ sauce and the soft brioche bun were fingerlicking good!!! We should have just requested two orders. 3.5 stars for the food, rounding up for the outstanding service by the staff!

Even though Nalu Kai is in the St. Regis, one fact remains-it is still just a pool bar. The cocktails here were pretty good-I loved the Aloha Mary and a Blueberry/Lemonade Antioxidant cocktail that I tried. Actually, I pretty much enjoyed all the drinks I had here. The food, however, was hit or miss. The pita chips and dip were very good and came in a huge portion. The Ahi Coconut Ceviche though, not very good, it just didn’t really have any flavor. It is very convenient if you’re just laying out at the pool all day, but considering what they are charging here, if you have a car I would drive to the Princeville Shopping Center or into Hanalei for a good meal instead.
