Went here looking for a certain kind of dusk to dawn light that a neighbor told me I could probably find here… I didn’t. It’s a nice small hardware place vs the mega hardware stores down the road but I have gotten more and better help from the big box stores than I did here. Had to ask at the cashier where the bulbs where and she looked it up in a book and then pointed in the direction I should go(aisle 5 that way). Still couldn’t find it so I had to track down someone who seemed rather lost about the entire store. Seemed he was getting chewed out by a higher up right before I found him. He took me to where the bulbs where and still seemed a bit dazed and confused but bless his heart he tried. Bulbs were there but not the special fixture that I needed to make it fit into the garage light. Bottom line… went to a big box store, had someone help me and found everything I needed. While Z’s is closer I don’t think you will find me returning here unless it’s something very simple I need quickly.

Ah… Zettler Hardware! I appreciate small co-op/Mom and Pop places, but the past two times I have went to this location I have walked out promptly, because they did not have the item I needed, and also, they were trying to charge $ 3 more for something cheaper at other Mom and Pop’s in the area. No thanks… I’m not THAT desperate. Also… where’s the help? Not once was I asked if I needed any help finding anything. Whatever, Powell. Keep your overpriced hardware store. I’ll go elsewhere.

I dropped in here one evening on the way home for something I needed. Conveniently located along Powell road with tons of parking. I’ve never really seen this place very busy. But, it sure beats having to drive down Sawmill road to the mega DIY stores. The store is literally crammed with household goods, tools and many of the items you would need for repair jobs. It can feel a bit overwhelming. The staff were laid back, but knowledgeable about the store layout(directed me right to what I was looking for). I like the convenience. I definitely will check them out again in the future.

The last reviewer has it exactly right. My favorite hardware store. Julie and Dave are the best. Julie taught me everything I know about growing veggies, and Dave will track down and order you anything you need quickly that they might not have it stock. They probably cost about 5% more than Lowes for some stuff, but the service makes it totally worth it.

I love having a hardware store around the corner, especially one where I don’t have to fight for a parking spot. I haven’t confirmed this but this store is family owned business. If it isn’t then it is certainly run like one. Every time I’ve gone in to visit I have been greeted, asked if assistance is needed, and/or been given friendly advice on how to attack my DIY home project. It may not have the variety of products a bigger hardware store such as Home Depot and Lowes may have but it’s nice to be able to go in/out in less than 10 minutes.
