breakfast and a show. must have been my lucky day. on my way to work and with plenty of time to spare i decide to stop off for some food. i checked Unilocal last week for good breakfast places along the way and this one was well reviewed and sounded like a great option. i walk in and about to browse the menu i spot a reader board with 2 specials; pancakes or stuffed french toast for $ 9.99. i was just gonna do biscuits and gravy but stuffed french toast sounded amazing, let’s do some of that. i sit down and wait for my breakfast. the cook starts in on the waitress. well, she only wrote«special» on the ticket. they have 2 specials. how was he to know which one. the audacity!(if cookie reads this, fairly certain he will need a dictionary to know what«audacity» means) dude is getting really loud and super excited. he must be extremely confused. poor guy. she explains, quite clearly, «special», in this case, meant stuffed french toast. and the cook continues in on her. cook smart waitress dumb. me show you. thankfully my food is ready and i can be on my merry way. i arrive at the office and lo and behold, my stuffed french toast looks oddly like blueberry pancakes. whatevs. but they werent even good pancakes. they came with 2 eggs that looked like chicken vomit. i wasnt touching those. bacon was ok but that’s kind of hard for even a monosyllabic grunt to mess up. just on the strength of the previous reviews i might be willing to give it another try. might even get an encore performance!

Quick to be seated, quick to be served, quick out the door. I like that I can go break“fast” and fuel my tank up with more than enough food. The portions are outstanding! Good options on the menu-nice people too.

We were visiting from California and needed to find some lunch quick and found this place on Unilocal. My husband has a gluten intolerance and they offered tons of options! He had their gluten free chicken strips and said they were the best he had ever had. Most places that offer gluten free items back home are all about making it healthy as well… but sometimes you just want some fried food! They also had different GF breads, biscuts and gravy, pankcakes, waffles, and more. I had a burger and fries and enjoyed my meal as well. The staff was super friendly and the restrooms and tables were clean. The corner café is definitely worth a try.

Great food, awesome service! Went here 2 times in the last week & left happy & full each time! The biscuits & gravy are so good. You can tell the biscuits are homemade. Good coffee too!

Was staying in the area and found this wonderful, down home gem! I had the Fried Chicken(day’s specil) and thoroughly enjoyed. I tried the Rubarb Crisp which was homemade also! A very delightful meal for reasonable price!

Lots of food at a great price, good service. I got the full sail breakfast, the sausage was awesome! The bacon was thick cut, biscuit was made from scratch. I was impressed!

Did a search and said this was the best breakfast place in PF. Meh — our experience was not. The waitress wreaked of smokes and booze, was forgetful of us from getting our drinks to taking our order. Then when we got our food, the order left much to be desired. It was small portions for what they cost. And the food was mediocre.

Classic old fashioned diner. Good milkshakes. The Philly dip was good. The half serving of Cobb salad was just right for lunch.

I’m an over-the-road trucker and I know diner grub. This is very, very good diner grub. The quality of the ingredients is high and the food is always cooked well and with care, and the wait staff is outstanding. I go there a lot. It’s my choice for the area and it competes with the best diners I’ve been to all across the country. Yeah, the décor has been around awhile but you know what hasn’t? The food, which is always fresh. I don’t go to diners for the crazy crap on the walls. I go to eat. And I’ll be back.

Not great at all. The food was bland and the burger patty tasted like it had been frozen, and the eggs weren’t cooked completely. The service was friendly and I appreciated that. The restaurant’s cleanliness was awful. The condiments were greasy, there were coffee rings inside our mugs, and there was an awful smell coming from the floor. Sorry, won’t be back.

Best biscuits in town, they serve a mild sausage gravy as a side which is nice as you aren’t worried about plain gravy versus sausage gravy and price differences. The wait staff is awesome, welcoming and funny. The servings are enormous, the prices remain very very affordable. This is the best, most diverse and affordable breakfast place on Post Falls.

Just had breakfast with a friend. WOW! Fantastic service– coffee was refilled often, large portions– and we had the early bird special, price was so good– that it made me a very generous tipper. Well done Corner Café. We’ll be back. Felt like a true small town café that all the locals know about, the servers know them by name, yet new comers are welcomed and quality is tasted with each bite.

If you’re expecting anything more than a traditional diner with a fairly traditional menu, you may be disappointed. But the food is always good, the service is quick and I love that you don’t have to wait to be seated. Just walk in, grab a booth or a table, and you’ll have a waitress there in short order. Service is quick, the food is good, and it doesn’t try to be what it isn’t. If you’re just looking for a good, old-fashioned corner café, this place fits the bill. I go there for breakfast after church fairly often and the breakfasts are big servings and always yummy.

Very good little local place, only complaint I have about this place is they only had one server so my girlfriend had to get up to get her own coffee three times and I had to wait along time for a drink refill.

The food was great for a small place, had the chicken fried was ok but not great. Never the less I will be going back, it blows Denny’s in the weeds.

The best place I’ve eaten in a long time. Felt like a mom and pop stop. Jaime was our server and she looked happy to be there. Genuinely;) she basically ordered for me. Lol. Great price for great food and perfect quantity. We are traveling from WA to CO in a moving truck and we needed a good home cooked meal. Thanks Jaime for the great service. We will be back.

Our waitress was very nice. We were served promptly and food arrived quickly. Except I had to go get David’s OJ for him. We were craving Pig n Pancake and this definitely wasn’t that but it good.

I love cooked from scratch food. Food that doesn’t taste like it came out of restaurant-chain-production-machine… a little home-style cookin’ wtih a personal touch is a wonderful treat in the world of mass produced food. «DELIGHTED» — that’s what my two teenagers and I were, when we discovered The Corner Café, yesterday. Having never been in before, the waitress was super helpful guiding us to all their most favorite menu items. This is one of the best diner menus I’ve seen in years and was not expecting much when we walked in — lots of variety, all home made, and plenty of portion of you’re hungry, prices were very reasonable, too. The menu was varied, with lots of delicious options, I could hardly make up my mind. My teenage son had the All-Scramble — which he declared«The best breakfast ever», he was so delighted with the home-made buscuits, he asked if they sold them in bulk(which they do if you call ahead — they make them fresh every morning). My daughter and I had the Trojan burger — good God, it was good. Anyone that follows our Unilocal posts knows that we’ve been on a hunt for«the best burger in Spokane» since we moved here three years ago — The Corner Café is now in my top spot(Milk Bottle used to hold that spot, but they haven’t reopened) — I loved the burger, so did my teenage daughter — tons of flavor, not too sloppy, made with great ingredients — YUM! Do not be daunted by the old building, the worn table cloths or the folksy décor — the food is fab, staff was very friendly, service terrific — we’ll absolutely be going back. What drew us in? All the cars parked out front of this worn looking diner was a clue that locals know good food — so we gave it a shot, am SOOOOOO glad we did!
