Super food and awesome staff. Martini menu is great! Try the sweet potato fries with Gorgonzola! Service has been slow recently, but they’ll make it right!

Wonderful food. Terrible service! Waited 15 minutes to have someone seat us. It took me asking for help. Dinner took 2:30 to get all food and few refills. I will not come back. Too bad, because the food really is amazing.

This place is tiny… and we loved it. The blackened salmon salad was just right and so reasonable priced. The service was good and friendly. Definitely going back the next time we are in town.

Usually this place has great martinis and appetizers, but the service here has become just atrocious, I would stay away! We had been sat in the corner and our drink order was on the way as we looked over the menus, when suddenly our waitress came over and said she wanted to now unapologetically put a bigger party where we were seated and we would have to get up and go wait outside again for another table, didn’t ask just told us! Umm worst experience ever, so rude! NOTWORTHBEINGTREATEDTHATWAY!

What a little gem! Stopped for early dinner while driving cross country to avoid rush hour in Spokane. Hit happy hour. $ 5.50 martinis that were excellent. Appetizers for $ 5. Outstanding sea bass entrée. Aside from the unexpectedly great prices, the food was excellent. Upscale bar food. Service was fast and friendly. Highly recommend!

Awesome happy hour!!! Best chocolate raspberry truffletini ever!!! The stuffed mushrooms are delish, with a nice salty soy sauce marinade. I don’t like Gorgonzola cheese but it comes on their sweet potato fries and it is amazing! Lamb burgers are moist and flavorful. The only downside is the place is tiny but it’s well worth a wait :)

The food was some of the best we have had in a long time. For flavor, quality of preparation, and great choice of ingredients, this place gets a five star from me. They also were very reasonable in their pricing considering the rewarding experience they gave our taste buds. I’ve been to restaurants with similar prices that were not even half as tasty. The portions were generous, but not ridiculous. Also, the salads, where most restaurants skimp on quality, were fantastic. On the down side, we ordered take-out tonight because we are staying in a hotel and have two babies that needed to sleep ASAP. I asked if they included utensils in our bag, and they assured me they did. When we got to the hotel, there were no utensils. My wife tried to eat the salad with her fingers while I searched for a fork somewhere in the hotel, and this made our food get cold. Although I cannot prove anything, it seemed that the wait staff were busier tending to the bar and flirting with each other than they were to details like utensils for their food which is anything but finger food. I would definitely go back, but I’d definitely make sure that the staff was paying more attention to detail than to alcohol.

OK, I have waited to write this review for a while, but I have not lost any of the love for this place. Where to start… 1) The martinis were awesome, we all played taste tester with our martinis and they were all a knockout. 2) Best dang steak I have ever had… it was unimaginable. The cut of meat was great, but it was the sauce they put on that little slab of meat that turned good into epic… EPIC!!! 3) Staff was very friendly and made us feel welcomed. 4) Portions were sufficient, and everyone but me left stuffed. I am hard to please here… 5) The fish my wife had was also stellar. I usually don’t do fish when steak is an option, but this would have been an adequate replacement for my steak… what am I saying… STEAK!!! This place is a sure thing for me. Love it!!!

Okay. I have been back. Several times. I’m about halfway through the martini list from top to bottom, though the desert martini is awesome and I tend to get that every night. The steak with peppercorn sauce is still what I get. They haven’t disappointed me and I will continue to order it.

You want delicious? Classy but no need to be fancy? Great drinks, great company, friendly staff, beautiful atmosphere, and an amazing happy hour? Yep. Here you go. From the Well Barron Steak to the Dijon Chicken to their house made mac and cheese, the meals and appetizers are absolutely delicious. Happy hour is a must from 4−6pm(also recently informed from 8−11pm!!!) Their drinks are tasty and you aren’t just paying for juice in your martini or cocktail. They have plenty of parking and as packed as their lot has been, I have never waited longer than 5 minutes for a table despite how small the restaurant may look. They do take reservations so if your party is more than 4 I would suggest calling ahead to avoid waiting just to be on the safe side if it is a weekend. They also have a gorgeous little bar, so if you just want a few drinks after work or to sit and chat with the staff, there is that option too! This is another great locally owned small business, the owners other restaurant is The White House Grill — that’s where you will usually find the owner cooking delicious greek food in the kitchen. All of the staff is fun and friendly. You must try this place!(Valentines Day weekend get reservations for a lovely romantic evening).

I usually give really great reviews, and I’m not a really fussy person. I’m usually very happy with most places where I dine. That being said, I was not at all impressed with The Oval Office. Maybe they were having a very«off» day. We dined here yesterday for lunch with my boss and his wife. The place is clean and inviting. I was very surprised, though, because the service was incredibly S-L-O-W. It took 45 minutes to an hour to get our food once we were actually able to place our orders. Then my chicken wrap dish was DRYDRYDRY. When I asked for some dressing to help the dry chicken, the waiter insisted on replacing my dish, which I very much appreciated. When I hesitated, because it had taken me so long to get the FIRST round, he promised it would take only 5 minutes. 20 minutes later I finally got my 2nd lunch plate. It was cooked a lot better, and I quite enjoyed it, but the rest of the table had finished eating their meal by the time my plate was replaced. My husband ordered the hamburger. I thought it looked odd when he cut it in half, and he thought it tasted old. The waiter did give us a cheesecake dessert«on the house» because of our long wait. Based on our ONEANDONLY experience, we would not recommend The Oval Office. But like I said, maybe they were having a rough day.

Love the martinis here! They are very strong though so be sure to have some food or a designated driver! The food here is pretty great, my favorite is the French onion soup and the calamari. The burger is also delicious! The atmosphere here is pretty noisy especially on the weekend! If you are looking for a quite date be sure to come a little earlier! The staff is pretty good, can be a little slow depending on the night. Atmosphere is great and there is more room than you would expect! Great spot to checkout in post falls!

We made reservations and were super excited to carve a «date night» out of our overnight stay in Idaho Falls, so after checking reviews and menu options, we decided to give the Oval Office a try. The dish and drink names and descriptions sounded amazing! It is true that it is super loud. When we called for reservations, we could barely hear the person on the other end of the phone over the sound of fun. There was also a very loud lady at the table next to us, which probably doesn’t happen there most of the time, and it was amplified by the small, echoing dining room. So, I’ll chalk that down to bad timing. It does have a super good energy. The service was ok. Our server seemed exasperated, so maybe that was timing, too. Reviewers seem to love the services, so maybe the evening we were in town was just a bad day. What great martini names! After studying the options, I made my choice(I can’t remember what I finally picked). They were out of my first choice martini, but the martinis we got were good. Not very memorable, but good. Truth be told, I loved having so many choices of martinis. They have very good Happy Hour specials. The food was not very good. Maybe our 9:00 reservation meant old, tired, not so good food, but regardless — it was not good at all. The sweet potato fries were just a big glob of sogginess, bogged down in blue cheese. Don’t get me wrong — I LOVE blue cheese(and what a treat — we don’t typically eat dairy, but were willing to do it for this dish). After about ¼ of the plate, we just gave up. Just too soggy, and not much flavor to the fries themselves. Thai coconut seafood soup — sounds amazing, right? Not so much. Gloppy with chunks of what seemed to be flour. No flavor of any kind of curry, coconut, or seafood. There were chunks of seafood, though, so I guess that’s something. We sent it back, and the server and cook agreed — there were a lot of chunks of thickener that shouldn’t be there. We had the steamed clams — they were good. At that point, we didn’t order any entrees or dessert, because, well, we thought we should just give it another shot a different day. Except probably we’ll try another restaurant. I see the charm, so if you’re thinking of giving it a try, a lot of other people love it — so it makes sense to try it out. We may have just caught them on an off day.

Best happy hour around! Delicious martinis, delicious appetizers and lots of variety! I try a new appetizer and martini everytime I go and I haven’t disliked anything so far. I’m only giving this place 4 stars for now being that I haven’t ever tried any of their dinner menu items. But amazing! My favorite place in Post Falls!

We decided to try The Oval Office for something different. We ordered martini’s that were really good. The French Onion soup was wonderful and we also had the chicken skewers and mushrooms, both of which were very flavorful. Is a small place, but had big taste. Service was fabulous.

Great food and awesome martinis with the most creative names that are fun to order. Little bit spendy on drink prices but besides that I love it

It may not look like much from the outside, but the Oval Office is a cozy and modestly classy little spot where I enjoyed a quick lunch on a recent visit to Post Falls. Between the Oval Office and its sister restaurant Whitehouse Grill up the street, this seems to be a bit of an institution in the area. With an expansive and cleverly titled menu of martinis, they offer a little something for any taste. I started with a plain ol’ gin martini and it was just okay. Definitely not one I’d bet my business on, but a decent cocktail. I had a burger and salad which were again, just okay. Nice portions for the money, but not outstanding. When you opt for a side salad, you can only select from the three or four specialty options which doesn’t leave a lot of wiggle room if you’re not a fan of their particular blends of veggies and dressings. The raspberry vinaigrette on mine was fine but bleu cheese would have been a better pairing for the burger. The service was friendly and prompt and the food arrived quickly — definitely where you’d want it to be if you were just in for a quick lunch, but also at a nice pace if you wanted to relax and enjoy a meal without worrying about getting back to work. If you’re passing through, it’s just off I-90 and easy to find right on Spokane Street with ample parking behind the building. If you’re a local you probably already knew that.
