Rock out to some lively music as you chow down on pizza, guzzle a few beers, and play a little pool. Much nicer than the Silver Dollar located on 21st, this Uptown spot caters to a crowd that’s a bit more upscale than the grunged-out kids hanging out at the pool tables at their location on 21st Street. Yep, it’s still a bit smoky, but they seem to have some pretty good ventilation so it doesn’t get too stuffy. And the pizza? Well, it’s nothing fancy, but not too greasy, so for a bar it’s about as good as you would expect it to be.

We came in starving and hungover on a Saturday at noon hankering for some eggs benedict! We were seated at a booth by a friendly bartender. Our waitress arrived shortly thereafter and took our orders – traditional eggs benedict. For $ 9 or $ 10. I opted for a side of fruit instead of the hash browns(I hate potatoes!!) and they didn’t charge extra for it, so I was a happy camper. For the time being. My eggs arrived and I could just tell by the way they moved that they were way overcooked. They should jiggle, but these little balls of egg were immovable. I sliced into an egg and sure enough, no runny yolk! I summoned the waitress and sent my eggs back to the kitchen. She was very gracious and I had a new plate of eggs in front of me in less than five minutes! This time they were perfectly poached(easy). I was, once again, a happy camper.
