BUSINESSCLOSED We showed up this weekend, and they’re closed down! Everything was still in its place and there was a sign on the door saying they had closed their doors and I noticed their website is no longer working. Must have just happened :(

Delicious! !! I’m writing the review as I am enjoying my Mac and cheese with the Kentucky Derby cocktail. The food is light and wonderful. Highly recommend this place for dog lovers out there. They have seatings outside away from the potential rain. Butters, my Corgi can come here on a rainy day and that’s a huge plus for me.

Things seem to have improved quite a bit over the last year. The wait staff is friendly, the food is improved, the wait staff doesn’t smoke on the upstairs balcony anymore.(that I can tell) Huckleberry turned itself into a nice neighborhood pub.

We just came from a delicious brunch at the Huckleberry Pub. We’ve been here a few times before and always enjoyed the fresh, well-prepared cuisine. Today, our visit was enhanced by our sweet server Natalie who was friendly, helpful, and prompt. Today, I had the eggs benedict with shrimp and spinach which is a great combination in itself but made even better by a delicate and perfectly seasoned hollandaise sauce. My SO had the generously portioned bacon, wild mushroom, and gruyère omelette. Both entrees were fabulous. The potatoes on the side come with sauteed peppers and onions which livens them up, but they seemed to be fried which is just not my preference on a breakfast plate. They’ve done a nice job of utilizing the outdoor space, as we enjoyed sitting on the front porch overlooking NW23rd Avenue. The interior has clean lines and is tastefully finished as well. They’ve got a fine cocktail menu, one of the best Bloody Mary’s I’ve ever tasted(plenty of horseradish, so it’s not for the meek), but are lacking in options if you want a quality non-alcoholic choice. We’re sure to go back and try more of the creative dishes available on their lunch and dinner menu.

Good for a brunch with friends! Service was really personable, but I can’t really remark that their food was anything spectacular. Yummy, but not outstanding.

Super cute and laid back setting — it looks like a cozy little house from the outside. I really loved the service I got from this place — they’re all so nice. I would give them 4 stars for service but the food was just«ok». I had the Truffled Wild Mushroom Crostini while my cousin got the beet sliders and onion rings. Personally thought the crostini wasn’t bad or good but my cousin and her friends said the onion rings were bland and the beet sliders where«meh». I didn’t try either of them because 1) the onion rings intimidated me because of its large size and 2) I do not like beets. So of course, I won’t be judging them on those two dishes. It’s a really cute place and I really tried to like it but it was honestly okay at best. Might be back because the atmosphere is real nice especially when you’re in outdoor seating.

It doesn’t get much better than this! Happy hour on a Saturday! We got a vodka tonic, beer, onion rings, chicken chili fries, house salad and sliders for $ 25. Service was fast, there’s a great outdoor patio so it’s great to bring your pooch.

For lunch only What once was a house has been transformed into a cozy restaurant a little bit off of the main road. While one would thing that the name implies pub, I just didn’t get that vibe from Huckleberry’s. Their menu offered a variety of options to choose from. While there is no specific gluten free menu, there are a few options to choose from due to the fact Huckleberry is a scratch kitchen and made to order. That being said, it takes time for them to make the food. If your looking for a quick place to eat, this most likely isn’t the place for you. I did enjoy their deck setting. It provided a relaxing atmosphere and view of passer-byes to take your mind off of whatever is preoccupying it. The service was good and the food was just OK. It might have just been my expectations and experiences with a traditional East Coast Cheese Steak, but I really wasn’t all that impressed with Huckleberry’s take on it. I had it sans bun, and it seemed more like thick pieces of steak sliced up and topped with cheese. **If you do have an issue with gluten, the fries are a no go as the fryer is shared.

First, Tyler, you are one of the best waiters ever, well done sir. I loved it here! It’s a half block off 23rd but you can still people watch from their outside front deck which is dog and baby friendly, yay :) The food was quite good from the beet sliders(I liked them better than the beef version) to the very delicious mac and cheese with spinach, mushrooms and I think truffle oil. I don’t even like mac and cheese but I’m coming back just to eat that, it’s was foodgasmic! Lots of good beers on tap, my fav was the Kolsh, I forget what brewery but try a flight and you can enjoy them all. It was a relaxing fun time for all, even though the kitchen was a bit slow due to a sports game showing in the upstairs bar section which we didn’t check out. We’ll be back for sure.

My favorite casual restaurant in the neighborhood. Great drinks, food, servers and bartenders. Their roasted acorn squash is to die for– yum!

This place is a gem if you’re looking for somewhere relaxing, quaint, peaceful, and enjoyable. It’s so enjoyable on a sunny day at dusk where you can sit on the upstairs balcony/patio, enjoy some decently priced happy hour food and drinks. Staff makes you feel right at home. Our server kept asking us if we were happy! Who does that in a restaurant?! It was an enjoyable relaxing little restaurant.

Review for BRUNCH. Im visiting Portland and my friend’s friend suggested this place for brunch after we heard the drag brunch was closed :( Its located in a cute neighborhood and the décor is nice– its roomy and inviting. They have outdoor seating as well and apparently an upstairs bar with TVs but it was closed when we were there. I had the Classic HuckleBrecky and it was alright. The bacon was tasty. The scrambled eggs were still a bit runny(definitely not a fan of that), rosemary potatoes were dry and had a slight burned taste to them, and the biscuit was dry. I obviously still ate most of it because I was starving. Another person brunching with us ordered his burger medium and got a well-done burger. Didn’t bring this up to the waitress since he was hungry as well and just wanted to eat. This place is alright. At least it’s spacious enough to accommodate a group of 5+.

ONIONRINGS!!! If you remotely even like them… these are a dynamite explosion of satiation. REAL fresh made and a garlic aioli sipping sauce? Just silly…

Very cool bar/restaurant off the beaten path of 23rd. A small bar on the third floor which has the feel of hanging out in someone’s house(it is an old remodeled victorian). The drink menu is good. Not great, but good. I look forward to trying the food next time in.

Last stop for us before heading back to AZ! What a pleasant little treat! The ambiance was nice with vintage feel because it’s an old house converted. The speciality drinks were super fun to try as well as watching the bartender make! I’ve posted a pic or two. We did not eat there, but saw a lot of food being served and oh it looked yummy!!! Onion rings were huge!

Came here with a big group of friends. Food was okay. This is definitely a kid friendly place. Good beers on tap. Nice outdoor patio. Upstairs bar. I would stop in again for a light snack and drinks.

Roasted Acorn squash y’all. So good! We love the ambiance of this lil gem. Service is great & food is great. It’s a nice spot in the summer to sit outside & watch the bustle of NW23rd& the ridiculous line outside Salt & Straw. They have good drinks, great happy hour & satisfying brunch. Bar upstairs has a TV so we have sports covered. Duh. Check it out! A good go-to spot.

I have walked by Huckleberry Pub quite a few times and always wanted to check it out so finally I had the opportunity! The BFF and I had recently gotten back from the coast and we were starved. The pub is adorable, set in an old house, it definitely screams charm. We ordered onion rings, pork sliders and the mac and cheese. All the plates were delicious. The service was great-very attentive! I’m not sure why there are so many so-so and poor reviews… our visit couldn’t have been better. I can’t wait to come back-especially when the weather is nice and warm-I heard they had a great patio!

I highly recommend this gastropub. I hit up the HB on a perfect summer Sunday evening and was very impressed with the balcony seating. Not only does this place a nice homey feel(it’s actually a house), but they have fast and friendly service and incredible appetizers and drinks! My date ordered The Chauffeur(which is a pleasant drink if you like whiskey), I ordered The Betty White(a nice light summer drink with a gin base), and we split an order of their fries with chicken gravy. The drinks tasted great(even though they were a little weak), but the fries were amazing. The french fries were nice and crispy with a home style gravy that had slices of carrot and large chunks of chicken. I will have to come hungry if I want to try their sliders next time because I will definitely be ordering their fries again. 5 stars for the balcony ambience, tasty beverages, and orgasmic fries. I can’t wait to come back!

heard loads of good reviews via Unilocal.I was very excited to support this place. A very nice time overall. Initially no service for a long time, we were in a good mood and waited. I was willing to leave table and grab a beer at the bar. The bartender, who happened to be the proprietor was super on it. Willing to grab us a quick beer — -mid-cocktail crafting. I do appreciate that very much. Good beer on draft, couldn’t get a happy hour menu in our hands. We eventually got one. I think they got busy and didn’t expect it. Had a great burger! –legit happy hour, busy, then died down. Seriously good cocktail – the cuke nukem. My friend ordered this, and I got to try. Very delicious. Hope they make it! Just a few off points, but otherwise, quality. 3.75 stars(if I could)
