Hands down the best teriyaki place in the Portland area. We have many go to spots but this one takes the cake as the absolute best. We will go out of our way to go here. The teriyaki sauce is perfect, the salad dressing is to die for and the meat is always tender and delicious. They have the option of brown rice and white meat chicken which is nice as well. Order ahead of time by phone as they can get busy!

Best meal in the Beaverton area for under $ 7. I usually get the #1 which is the teriyaki chicken. They fill half the plate with chicken and the other half with rice and salad. Very filling.

I love this place. I probably wouldn’t have tried it without the recommendation from a friend who loves it. Once I tried it I was hooked. The spicy chicken is so good! To go orders are always so quick and the people who work here are always so friendly and kind. I love the salad dressing as well, you can order any extra sauces on the side! This place is the best for quick takeout, and the portions are huge too.

I love this place. I often eat here for lunch and have never been disappointed. The lady who works at the front counter(and who often takes orders over the phone) is fabulous. The food has always been plentiful and delicious. The salad dressing cannot be beat. I highly recommend Tokyo Grill.

Love this place, decided to review because of someone giving it one star for the fried tofu. I almost always order the fried tofu. I got the yakisoba for awhile but have since switched to the regular teriyaki order because I like the salad. It’s true that the tofu is plain, whether you get it steamed or fried, but at a place like this you add your own sauce if you find it lacking. Every table has a bunch of bottles of good stuff, including one large bottle of the teriyaki sauce. If I get it to go, I either douse my meal before I leave or ask for it on the side — they have little plastic cups of it ready to go. Don’t be afraid to experiment if you dine in, just don’t cover your meal in unfamiliar sauces, either. The meat is usually a little more fatty & gristly than I like, but I am unusually picky about this and my carnivorous friends have never complained. My roommate often gets the beef & chicken and allows me to steal a little, which works out for me, and the portions are so huge it’s hard to miss a couple pieces. The teriyaki dish comes with roughly equal(by size) portions of green salad, steamed rice, and meat. The yakisoba order comes with no salad. This is a casual, tiny little shop with open seating and cheap food. For the price, it’s one of the best options in the area. The staff is very friendly and the patrons are regular neighborhood people. That’s saying, if you’re surprised to be running into family groups at a place in a strip mall nestled between a ballet shop and a martial arts school, I’m not sure what to tell you. I didn’t like the spicy chicken the last time I tried it, but that was years ago, and the pictures of it from 2015 look much better so I’ll give it another chance the next time I go. I’ve been coming here for years and the only thing that’s ever gone wrong with my order is getting steamed tofu instead of fried, which is hardly the end of the world.

Visiting Portland for the first time, I was introduced to this restaurant. There is no doubt that it’s the best food I have had in the states. The owner appeared to be adequately Japanese with ample manner for a semi-fast food restaurant. The food was superb considering all the food I’ve had. Though it can not be compared to upscale dining, Tokyo grill is definitely a place I would recommend for a casual hang out. Alas, it’s a shame I didn’t order the spicy chicken as selected by my friends. If you ever visit and are a fan of flavors, don’t hesitate to order the spicy chicken.

Tofu teriyaki — just fried tofu on white rice. No sauce, no veggies, not even seasoning… Very disappointed :( The salad that came with the lunch special was wilted and turning brown, so again disappointed. The woman behind the counter was very nice though, so they get a star for that.

I never hesitate to eat here. It’s always good and always very filling. Service is quick and the staff is always friendly. Pricing is what you’d expect for a good plate of teriyaki. They make good yakisoba which isn’t a guarantee at a lot of teriyaki spots. Everything I’ve tried has good flavor and was prepared right. Eat here!

Oh my lord where to start. We were in the neighborhood today, saw the great Unilocal reviews and decided to stop by for lunch. You order at the counter, then sit down and they deliver your meal. The place was in absolute testosterone overload, there must be a gym nearby because there was a ton of sweaty guys there eating lunch. I was the only female in the place. It was humid and stale. The food was OK, my stomach has been a little upset since, so was hubby’s. The portions are out of control huge, tons of protein. I wish I had a little better balance of noodle to protein on my Yakisoba Chicken, too few noodles and too much chicken. Also there were about 5 veggies total and it was a very sickly sweet sauce. I was not a huge fan. The Egg Roll was OK. Hubster got the Spicy Chicken which came with Rice and a lettuce salad with a sweet dressing. The spicy chicken tasted like it was coated with a Mayonnaise/Siracha sauce, he was not a huge fan either. The table we sat at was sticky and I just felt out of place. I will definitely not be back. Not my style, but if you want a shitload of below average food I think you will find what you are looking for here. Update: my husband had tummy troubles for 2 days after eating here, just sayin.

I have to say, I eat here a lot. It is on the way home and it is solid. The owners are hard working, the food is good, and it always hits the spot. The beef is better than the chicken, IMHO. Now, that said, its not spectacular, and probably not a place I would take friends or family, but it is solid, cheap, and the best place in the area.

By far the best teriyaki I have had. The #2 special spicy chicken is amazing. And the salad dressing is the best I have ever had.

I live on the Portland/Beaverton border and this is my go to chicken/beef teriyaki spot when I don’t feel like going downtown. Really like the chicken teriyaki, the beef version is even better though. Wasn’t huge on the spicy chicken, too much sauce on it for me(I just add sriracha to the regular version). Eventually want to try their short ribs but they aren’t cheap.

I wouldn’t go here unless I’m in the area. Food was ok. I take off –1 stars for any place that nickel and dimes you. 50 cents for a refill.

Always a good staple in the Beaverton area. Fairly inexpensive, quick, and pretty darn tasty. My go-to meal is the beef & chicken. They will allow you to replace the rice and salad w/veggies if you are watching carbs. The beef is tender and not chewy. Very flavorful overall. Chicken is grilled nicely and tastes good as well. The salad is just plain ol’ lettuce and their miso dressing with is OK but wish there was a bit more to it. Add a drink to that meal and you are hovering at just about $ 10.50. A touch spendy but they serve plenty of food. Recommend coming here for lunch!

Clean, typical Asian takeout joint décor, but more of a to-go place. Still, clean is SO important. The front of the house reflects the back of the house. Stumbled on it by accident, when searching Unilocal for bento, and so glad I did. I rarely eat meat, so I have had the fried and steamed tofu and both are delicious. I love the spicy option, as well as the brown rice substitution. The spicy sauce is creamy and delicious but doesn’t light your face on fire(although I realize this is subjective). Really tasty dressing on a very simple iceberg lettuce salad. And, yes, the woman at the register is sweet and adorable. :)

The steamed tofu teriyaki is pretty awesome. The portion sizes are just what you’d expect. So far my husband and I have been back 3 times since discovering it a week ago. His favorite: beef and chicken plate. My favorite: steamed tofu plate. The woman at the counter is so wonderfully nice too!

Very friendly employees! Food is always well cooked and hot. The meat is no mystery! always well prepared. tastes just like grandma’s house! The store itself needs a little makeover but not important! you can tell they focus on their food more and I can’t complain about that;) I’m sure with more customers they will be able to fancy up the inside. I support them! :)

Actually some pretty good teriyaki. Surprisingly good teriyaki, I didn’t think it would be so tasty but it was! We(wifey and I) each got teriyaki chicken and some egg roll. Both were cooked to perfection. The sauce itself is a little thin but has a lot flavor. The rice was … Well rice. Good stuff.

This place is alrightttttt but nothing special. Ok maybe the super sweet Korean lady at the counter, but sadly, that is all. I got their chicken yakisoba and I was delighted to see how much chicken they gave me! It was like two full thighs or something. But I quickly found out that the chicken to noodle ratio was crazy. Each bite was like 80% chicken and 20% noodle and my jaw got tired of chewing. Also, my mouth got this weird tingling feeling after a while. Maybe too much salt? Maybe I’m severely dehydrated? Anyways, the price was fair, I suppose, but you can definitely find a cheaper and more satisfying lunch/dinner option. But I love that Korean lady. Maybe I will go back just for her smile and how she hands back your credit card with two hands. :)
