Best Thai food! Veggies are always fresh and they don’t skimp on good veggies! Always fresh and delicious!

We greatly enjoyed our meal! Prompt service, not very busy. So delicious! I had the lemon grass grilled chicken pad Thai and took half home since there was so much food. Plenty of parking too. My husband had the crab fried rice and didn’t think the crab tasted fresh. Otherwise all was great!

Took a bit for me to get my order in but I was looking at the menu for forever since I couldn’t make up my mind. Went with Tom Kha soup with was a little spicier than I like(I am totally wimpy, though) but had a horrible cold so I think it was good for me.

We had been regulars at this place since it first opened, and the previous Bai Tong before that. It has been several years since we have eaten here as we have had a number of Thai places open up within a mile of our house so haven’t had the need to drive the extra distance to eat here. Happened to be in the area the other day so we thought we would give it a try. Frankly it’s not as good as it used to be. Like some other reviewers have pointed out the curries(we ordered panang) are very thin and lack flavor. It’s as though they have skimmed off the thick part of a can of coconut milk and just used the watery part. And not nearly enough curry paste. The owner seems to respond to negative reviews with the promise to correct whatever problem is pointed out, but apparently has overlooked this one and it’s a big one. We also had pad see ew and it was just ok, not really good like it used to be. The noodles were all stuck together and not enough sauce to help keep them apart. Fairly bland overall. The bright spot and the reason I’m giving it 3 stars instead of 2 is the addition of some«House Specialties» they have added to their menu. If you are a fan of general tso’s chicken and wished that Thai restaurants had a similar dish, this is it. It’s called«crispy chicken basil» and it’s excellent. Very similar sauce to general tso’s but the addition of the fried whole basil leaves put’s it over the top. Unlike the other 2 dishes we had, the portion size on this one was on the small size so keep that in mind. Oh, we also asked them to make it spicy(medium), and it was quite mild. I hate to see when ANY restaurant starts to slip in quality. I do hope they can get their classic Thai dishes back on track very soon.

I really liked the meats especially the crispy basil chicken. The noodle were just ok. The tom yum slightly bland and the crispy spring rolls peculiarly thick and tough. We didn’t try the curries this go around. Though some things were not great the meats were good ethnology to entice me to want to give them another try.

Great authentic Thai food with delicious bold flavors and a wonderful presentation. Generous sizes and portions. Friendly staff all the service can be a little bit slow but our food came out right away. Would definitely recommend.

It’s a difficult neighborhood to find good food, but this place is top notch! Food is gourmet, some of the best thai food since I ate in the street stalls in Thailand. My grandma who is difficult to please thought it was excellent. Highly recommended.

The food was good, but that’s where the good ends. The service was horrendous. We paid with three cards and she comes back and tells us hat she put it all on one card… What?! There was a reason we gave her three cards… to SPLIT up the bill. She pretended like nothing happened and now we have to do the awkward I-O-U thing.

The food was mediocre. I ordered the Salmon Panang Curry. The salmon was overcooked, the veggies were bland, and there was very little sauce. It definitely wasn’t worth the $ 13 price.

I love Thai food and I have really craving thai the last couple days. I work off of Macadam and I found this place had good reviews and was just up the street from me so I decided to check it out. The place was decently busy, a great size(parking sucks) and the staff were all super nice. I had a thai iced tea and pad see ew. It was delicious. I would recommend if you are looking for a good place to eat lunch or dinner in St, John’s Landing/Macadam area. Great lunch prices!

My food was so bad I walked out. I had been once before, maybe two months ago. The food was good the first time, the staff was pleasant. I went again with a friend. He ordered the pork short ribs. I ordered pad se ew. Both of the dishes were flavorless. His ribs were way over done as well as flavorless. I would be surprised if they even had salt and pepper on them! My pad se ew was oily and bland. We couldn’t even get a servers attention to let them know what the food was like. We decided it was better to leave hungry than try to digest such awful fare.

We tried Thai PK for the first time tonight after reading the Unilocal reviews. We ordered the coconut shrimp appetizer which was very nice. We ordered the Crispy Duck and asked that they put it in Panang curry which they were very agreeable to. It was wonderful, some of the best crispy duck we have had. We also had the crispy catfish which was very good. My only suggestion is that the restaurant was very cold, I wish it was a little warmer. But great service and a great meal.

Really good Thai food! Ordered classic pad Thai with chicken. It had really good flavors, noodles cooked perfectly. The Boyfriend ordered chicken and substituted white rice. He liked the chicken, but I would come back here just for the rice! Good service, good location, not busy at night. Found out they deliver for free if you live close and spend $ 25!

I find compromised ethnic cuisine experience to be a sad one. Surely the owners wouldn’t eat the stuff like this. Represent and share with us the food you would serve to your own family. That’s all. I’m not coming back for the bland taste-adjusted to the«can you make it not spicy?» crowd focused food. There are hundreds of these watered down restaurants in town already. The restaurant is in a very pleasant space staffed with lovely wait staff. B+ Salad rolls were fresh; however, there was no taste of fresh herbs you’d normally find in them. Peanut sauce was tasty but rather sweet. C Pad see ew was a disappointment. There were broccoli florets and no chile/heat whatsoever. Why so timid? D

We came here on Saturday night, just after 9pm. We had planned to go to the Hawaiian BBQ next door, but they closed at 9. There were 5 of us, and we were the only ones in the restaurant. I attribute this to the neighborhood — it looked very sleepy, like the sidewalks rolled up at 9. Two in our party had pad thai, one with no peanuts, two had beef skewers with sticky rice, and I had spicy chicken fried rice. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals, but I have to say that my spicy chicken fried rice was not at all spicy. I guess I should have told them to turn up the heat. I asked for chilies which helped. By the time we were done, they were ready for us to leave so that they could go home. We appreciated them staying open late for us.

I am on the edge of a 2⁄3 star review, I decided to go with three stars in the end. Overall — the food was OK, it wasn’t great — it wasn’t bad. I like certain Thai foods, I go for Thai Curry, I find the addition of coconut milk gives a savory yet slightly sweet lemon grassy, Thai chili, fish sauce amazingness. So, my American view on American Thai is, I am sure, skewed. The service was good, there were only two other people in the restaurant, our server was fast and friendly. The table got an order of the Crab Rangoons, I will pass next time. Not very much filling and they do a flattened wonton — then again its not really Thai either, but it wasn’t appetizing. I ordered the Red Curry, Chicken — very hot. The curry itself was good — possibly a pre bought paste like Mae Ploy. I wish they would have used additional paste for flavor and heat, some chopped up Thai Chili at the end would have brought up the heat level to where I wanted it. Also, I have a feeling they used American Eggplant or Japanese Eggplant, I am going to guess Japanese because of the purple instead of black color — these eggplants tend to get mushy in curry. I am surprised they didn’t use Thai Eggplant, we have lots of Asian markets on 82nd.(maybe not in season?) I probably will come back when I get a craving for some Thai Curry, its so close to my house it would be too convenient to pass up.

So my bf and I are driving around johns landing area and he said he remembered seeing a Thai restaurant around there… I have never had Thai and don’t even like this type of food BUT that all changed when we got there I love fried shrimp so of course I order the coconut shrimp(5 pieces to the order) They were at our table in less that 13 minutes! And the were AMAZING! Our meals that were ordered where so good I over stuffed myself! Needless to say I am now a can of Thai. The staff was also Very friendly and the establishment is kept very clean/inviting. I’ve posted some pictures of our food! For sure goin to come back here a a lot!

Affordable and good, it’s worth going to. Not the best thai food I’ve had in Portland, but it is up there. I got the drunken noodles($ 8.95), and a large glass of wine($ 5.50). I had plenty of leftovers too. Check it out!

So far, the Thai food in this town, like most of the other cuisine, has fallen way short of the locals’ raves. So, as has been very helpful so far, I tried PK with low expectations. And sure enough, it’s pretty good. The eggplant curry(with extra eggplant) has been my favorite so far. They also do a good Pad See Ew. The spring rolls are a pass, but the salad rolls are pretty good, and come with a nice peanut sauce. Take-out orders are usually pretty quick, although sometimes you need to call a million times before someone answers the phone. If you can actually reach someone on the other line, they also do delivery in the neighborhood(minimum order of $ 20 or $ 25, I think). In sum: the food is actually good, it is reasonably priced, and there is abundant parking — a triad you will almost never see in this culinary Potemkin Village.
