While waiting for my car walking around Sellwood, this was my 3rd coffee house. after walking quite a bit too. I stopped in for a small decaf. The lady there was very friendly and nice and even brought it out to where I was sitting. Very kind of her. I wasn’t there long, but it was nice to sit for a bit nonetheless. I tend to stop here to/from Tom Dwyer… for it is convenient.

OMG, we just discovered this amazing place called Starbucks. I don;t know if you are aware of them but they are amazing! Right here on the main intersection in West Moreland — seriously when did this pace get here!!! Ok, it’s the Buck. This feels like reviewing fast food as you know what to expect but they do a lot more — takes some ability to continually put out a good coffee drink. But form fit and function you know exactly what to expect. And that comfortable right. I will say about this particualr spot is the staff is great. We were regulars when we lived in the neighborhood in 2004 – 2007 and they all knew my wife’s name and her drink and now again this past year(little further away but still the closest Buck to get my wife’s morning fix in(they already know her and talk with her daily). This time we have a kid in tow and he is happy as a clam to get a breakfast sandwich and juice or milk. My wife swears they may the perfect venti, 2 shot, non fat latte with half a splenda packet in it. I get a no whip mocha. And yes I pronoucne the H in whip. I get a grande as any more Starbuck coffee upset my stomach(it is pretty strong). Staff — excellent. Drinks — well made.

When it comes to Starbucks, you know what you’re getting. The menus at each franchise are just about identical, but there are distinct differences that make some branches more favorable than others. This review is meant to reflect what makes this Starbucks unique more so than the company as a whole. Look, this is Sellwood. There are better coffee shops VERY close by. So why would you come to this Starbucks? Maybe you’re in a hurry and you’re just stopping by quickly on the way to the bus(the #19 picks up right across the street). Maybe you have a free drink courtesy of your Gold Card. Maybe you just really need a bathroom. But if you’re looking for a quality Portland coffee experience around here, check out Rose CIty Coffee. Maybe Blue Kangaroo. For frequent coffee drinkers, I also strongly recommend pursuing a Starbucks Gold Card if you do not already have one. By simply reloading and reusing a gift card, you can easily reach Gold status(which I think is worth it even under the new company rules). By doing so you get a free drink or food item after you’ve racked up 12 «gold stars»(items purchased).

What can I say? It’s the local starbucks. I’m not a huge fan, but I always end up picking up a latte or americano for the WIFE(thanks AB), while I“m getting my own caffeine fix at Marsee. Friendly people. Decent coffee.

It’s a Starbucks, it has what you need, if you need coffee, but we all know it is way over priced. I give the corporation three stars, however I give this particular Starbucks five stars. The staff is awesome and the crowd is attractive.

«Hi!» the barista bellowed from behind the counter in such a sing-song manner that little birds began to perch upon her outstretched arms. «What can I get for you today?» «Uh, hot tea, please,» I stammered, attempting to conceal my frightened expression. «Grande.» “And what kind of tea would you like?” she asked, still in that enthusiastic tone only voice actors hopped-up on antidepressants could possibly muster at seven on a Sunday morning. «Wild orange, please,» I responded. «Would you like one or two bags?» «One bag.» «That’ll be one fifty, please,» she lilted, punching in a few keys on the register, a smile painted on her lips. An undeniable energy was emanating from the diminutive barista. A few blocks away, a family of squirrels had begun to stir. I handed her my debit card and advised her that I didn’t need my receipt. The transaction was swift and painless albeit somewhat unnerving. Then she flashed me a smile wide enough to make either Julia Roberts or Anne Hathaway(or both) jealous for weeks, and said, «Have a great day!» «You do the same,» I managed, and slunk away to a corner, where I propped open my laptop. I rammed an earpiece in each ear, turned on Pandora, and selected my Radiohead station, their funereal music filling my head. And all was well with the world again…
