Rovente Pizzeria

Was pleased to see that after a long day I could pick a time to deliver a delicious pizza so it would be at the location I required by the time I would get there… Unfortunately I got a phone call 40 minutes before I needed the pizza, the driver asked if I had ordered a pizza, when I replied that I had ordered one to be delivered at 5:30 he promptly responded that he would be back then and preceded to hang up. Then 5:30 rolls around and the pizza guy brings the pizza that was previously ready when I received a phone call. I prepaid with a card so had to accept the pizza it was chewy and cold. I can not believe the lack of freshness and quality because they didn’t want to remake the pizza for the time I had requested.
After explaining this on Unilocal I did get contacted with haste to remedy the situation. I appreciate the excellent customer service and would like to try this pizza hot and fresh to give a true review of the food. As of now I only have the one to go off of, which was disappointing to say the least, but when I try it again I am hopeful for a much better experience.

Rovente Pizza is located in the small strip mall where Zupans is. They only have about 4 bar stools for people to sit at while they are waiting for their to go pizzas so it is a pickup or delivery location. If you go to their website they have specials and you can also sign up for coupons.
I’ve done pick and delivery and they are actually pretty fast having your call ahead order ready within 30 minutes or what we’ve also had many deliveries within 30 minutes. I think it just depends on if it’s during a peak time or not.
They offer your standard pizza fare… Pizza, calzones, salads, wings, soda and cheesy bread. They use fresh ingredients and make their own pizza crust. You can also get a gluten-​free option.
Employees that work there have always been really nice and accommodating. Usually for delivery they charge a couple dollars.
I’m only had the pizza and salad from this location and I would say those items are decent not spectacular. Good crust, sauces, cheese but the meats seem a little greasy and the toppings are not excessive. So if you like lots of toppings you would have to order extra.
Prices are a little steep if you don’t order a special.
Overall the quicker delivery comes into play when you are hungry and want your pizza now so that would be when I would order from here.

A decent neighborhood pizza that is super kid friendly on ever level. If you’re looking for gourmet, Portland-​foodie worthy pizza — then head to the southeast side of the river. However, if you want a pizza that will keep the kids happy and offers a super friendly staff — Rovente is your place.

The perfect neighborhood pizza. No dine in, and a bare bones interior but that just means the focus is on your pizza. Nice staff, affordable, delicious.

The BEST pizza I have ever had! Cannot wait to eat here again! The Chicken Delizia is by far my favorite. You have to try it. You won’t be disappointed!

Decent place. Toppings are a little dry, especially the chicken. Prices aren’t terrible, but my biggest issue is the lack of sauce they put on the pizza. I even specified extra sauce and I still can barely notice it’s there. All in all it’s an okay option for the meal. They are pretty quick and the cheesy bread is solid. They have good coupons online usually. Gone here about 2 – 3 times.

Recently moved to SW Portland neighborhood and had to find new pizza delivery joint. This pizza place is amazing! Their red sauce is delicious and we usually get garlic, artichoke pepperoni. Yumm!

This is the closest spot to my office to grab a slice during my lunch break. I’ve been twice and was generally happy with my experience both times.
The restaurant is really built more for delivery than dining in. The only seating is about four or five stools at a small counter.
The pizza flavor is great, but I’m not sure if I have ever had a pizza quite so greasy. I am not one to dab my pizza with a napkin to get the grease off, but this was so drippy I had to do the grease dab.
This place has lots of potential, but isn’t the best pizza I’ve ever had. The location is convenient, so I’m sure I’ll be back, but it isn’t anything worth writing home about.

LOVE their pizza! They delivered 16 extra large pizza’s to our place of business for an employee appreciation event. Everyone raved about the flavors, crust and toppings. Its a hidden treasure, kind of out of the way but worth the try! YUM YUM YUM!

Great pizza, the sauce, the doh, the toppings. One my favorite pizza Joints. I live in the neighborhood and when I don’t feel like cooking, I crave Rovente Pizza. You can actually request beef pepperoni cause I’m not a fan of pork. Love this place

This place is so excellent at making interesting, delicious pizzas I’d consider it a waste if all you ordered was one topping. And believe me I love a simple pepperoni pizza, but all of the specialty pizzas I’ve had from here are amazing. So much so, that I’ve started ordering pizzas that I think I’ll hate, and every time I learn how a delicious pizza can be made even with ingredients I don’t like.
Possibly one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had (just my personal taste here) is the pompeian chicken. And again, I normally hate chicken on pizza. But even their simple pepperoni pizza had a unique flavor.
The only downside is that it’s a little more expensive than a typical delivery pizza, but if you’re looking for great, quality pizzas it’s definitely worth it. The delivery drivers have also all been polite and on time. I’ll be surprised if I find something on the menu I legitimately think is mediocre.

Pizza very dry! First time that I ordered take out. I called, arrived when I said I would. Small pizza was was expensive for the little ingredients that it had.

I live right next to Roventes and gladly order from here frequently (I can’t say that of some other establiments I live nearby). Their sauce and crust are both delicious — the sauce especially is what keeps me coming back. We’ll frequently grab a plain cheese pizza when it’s at a super deal that month (which it often is) and load on our own fresh toppings to feel a little less guilty about pigging out on pizza. But that cheese pizza on its own is pretty darn good too!
When you’re not in the mood to go wait at a fancier pizza establishment like Ken’s, this is a more than solid choice for a take home pizza.

Pizza is dank, so, since this is a pizza place, it’s dank. How dank? You might ask. Just dank. Not super not dank, but not not dank. Grub on!

Again the pizza search leaves me wanting. The pizza had zero sauce, way too doughy, dry like desert sand. Not headed back there. Anyone know of decent Portland, OR pizza?

Perfectly executed every time. It’s what a pizza should taste like… killer!!!
Love this place and have ordered from them 4 times now. Not once have we been disappointed. The employees are all very nice and efficient. Not only are the pizzas great but so are the salads. Especially with the Greek salad dressing. Big, Big YUM!

We’ve lived near Rovente for a couple of months now, but last Saturday night was the first time we had ordered a pizza from the restaurant. It will certainly not be the last time, and we are kicking ourselves for not stopping by earlier. Everything about Rovente was just right, and we will be sure to return to broaden our menu horizons. Great food, great service, great price, great time!

I will start by saying that i have never rated anyone 1 star. I am always very considerate of moods, waits, and employee attitudes.
My rating is purely from a 30 second phone call I made this evening.
I’ll be upfront. I haven’t tried the pizza here, because I couldn’t.
It’s 8:15, we live less than 2 minutes away. I call, the employee asks «how can i help you?» In a very «what do you want?!» Sort of way.
«I would like to put in a delivery order.»
«We’re pretty much done with delivery for the night.» No apology, no polite voice just more «what do you want?!» attitude.
I worked in the pizza business for 5 years, you don’t stop taking delivery orders over 45 minutes before closing when your delivery radius is less than 10 miles, and then treat the customer like it is bother to even be polite.
Needless to say, they lost a customer, before we even tried their food.

My wife and I initially discovered this shop through a group-​on deal and were pretty impressed! Recently we went in for a BOGO superbowl offer. We got two 15″ pies for $ 20 which was awesome!
Our favorite pie is the Greek Al Forno with creamy garlic sauce! The feta on it is a bit salty but very delicious!
