This is the most authentic Mexican food that I have tasted in Portland and Vancouver. I’m from Arizona so I know good authentic Mexican food. I got the 3 ground beef enchiladas w rice beans and(real) sour cream for $ 7.00. Very tasty not greasy. Mueybueno!

Amazing food at a great price! We love this place. Get the breakfast! The pastor is delicious too. Friendly, accommodating staff. I’ve never been disappointed here

Went here the other day after hanging out in St. John’s with some friends. I ordered a basket of chips and salsa for the table and three carnitas tacos for myself and a horchata. The wait staff are friendly, the food was… meh. In fact, I would say it was less than meh. I did not feel good at all afterwords and had to take some pepto once I got home. All three friends had burritos with mixed reviews. Probaby wont be returning here anytime soon.

Don’t let the inexpensive prices fool ya, the food here is AMAZING. The carne asada tacos plate I ordered were the best tacos I’ve had in a very long time. The meat was tender and juicy. Their salsa verde and salsa roja were great as well. My mom ordered the chicken fajitas plate, and she’s over the moon about it. Definitely glad I let my mom convince into coming here! P.S They also have churros! Very, VERY, delicious churros!

Pretty good burrito. The tortilla was very nice but I feel like they were a little heavy handed with the pico. My burrito was a little too runny for for my liking, so next time I would get no pico. A previous review mentioned that the salsa bar was weak, I disagree. There were 4 types of fresh salsa and some packets of taco sauce for weirdos. They make their own chiles vinagres(pickled jalapeño & carrots) and also serve roasted jalapeños and cubed limes. Pretty decent in my opinion. Friendly and fast service. I will be back to try the churros!

Love this local spot! The food is just as fresh and clean as the new renovations in there. Friendly, fast service and great prices. Did I mention good food. The churros are out of this world if you have a sweet tooth and so is everything else I’ve tried so far.

I’ve eaten here about five times now. And all in the same meal!(I keed, I keed.) Seriously, though, $ 5 for most burritos is pretty good for what you get. And they’re among the best burritos I’ve found in the NoPo area. I agree with Jen B. They are better than Javier’s and King Burrito. The inside is cute and the people are nice. What more do you want?

Still loving this place, and have been trying new menu items whenever I come by. Try the churros! They make them to order and they can be filled with cream or caramel. So darn tasty!

Great Mexican food spot. It’s not really a «restaurant» but more so a burrito joint. I had the enchiladas there and they were delicious. Definitely will be back to try other things.

Best churros in portland!!! Made fresh when you order them. So good. We also had the taquitos and chicken burrito, both fantastic. Super fast and friendly service. Will definitely return.

I was glad to see something open up in this space after the last place shut down. Little did I know how ridiculously delicious the food would be! I probably should’ve read the reviews before we ordered, because we thought that we were hungry and each ordered a burrito(one Mi Burrito and one carnitas) and a taco. Delicious, and way too much food for less than 15 bucks for both of us! We ended up each eating one taco and splitting a burrito. I guess we will be fighting over that remaining burrito for lunch tomorrow. The place is clean, the food is good and our service was nice, even though we were only taking it home. What a nice little gem in my neighborhood. I’ll be going back.

What a tasty lunch or dinner spot! I had two savory carnitas tacos, and yummmmm. Very solid rice and beans accompaniment also. Of the quick and easy taco spots in the vicinity, I rank mi burrito food at the top, way ahead of nearby Javier’s and also, King Burrito – different genre from la Taq, so I will not endeavor to compare there. My two tacos with rice and beans meal, and they were not skimpy tacos, was right around $ 5. I hope they can stay in business offering such yummy and affordable eats. The ambiance is not noteworthy, but I was on a mission for food not ambient lighting:)

Excellent tacqueria — food was fresh(the chicken fajitas were neither dry nor greasy, and spiced well), inexpensive, and tasty. Recommended for a casual dinner or family outing.

This place is amazing! Delicious food for a very reasonable price. I highly recommend the Machaca burrito. That shredded beef is to die for! I love how you can get a customized burrito for right around $ 5 and that the size is of very good portion.

Solid 4 stars from this new burrito joint on Lombard. I can’t wait to go back and try some breakfast burritos(ALLDAY!) and tamales and everything else. I split the chili relleno burrito($ 5!) and carnitas taco($ 1.70) with my wife and we were stuffed. Super quick, friendly service. I’m happy to see a quality shop in this location. I hope it lasts! That location is tough because of the limited street parking, but I’ll be walking over all the time now I’ve had a taste.

I was so happy to see a new place go in to where Acapulco used to be, and thank goodness, it’s much better IMO. The owners are a really nice family, and super friendly. Some of the items remind me of King Burrito, like their chile relleno filled signature burrito. It’s all delicious though, and the portions are huge. Two of their street tacos fill me up, and they’re under two bucks. Super tasty carnitas and asada. I highly recommend supporting this local business.

From what we have tried so far, this is the best little Mexican food joint in North Portland. The al pastor nachos are amazing. They also make a few different kinds of churros which are pretty tasty. It’s a small and very clean operation and definitely worth trying if you are in the area.

Burrito was cheap and with fresh ingredients, tortilla was great. There was a lack of condiments(different kinds of salsas), not a big deal for me but it might be for others.

Really very good. Nice new addition to the neighborhood and easily the best Mexican food in the area. The carnitas is excellent.
