We loved the food as well as the friendly service. What you see is what you get. No fuss. Fresh and tasty food and generous dishes. For sure we will come back, soon.

Wonderful people! Lots of options too. I love the drinks, guru fried rice, soups and the hawaiian sunshine. Usually a soup of the day comes with my meal which is very nice.

My go to place for a great veggie meal. I crave this place constantly and the people are super nice!

This is my second time at Loving Hut and both times I got the Blissful Fried Rice that came with the complimentary tofu soup-​delicious! I am in no way vegan but find this restaurant awesome. The service is even better. My waiters make sure I am well hydrated and have friendly conversation. Definitely coming back for more vegan goodness.

I’m not vegan, but any opportunity to go to Loving Hut is a treat. The chain was created with the vision that all beings can live in peace, love and harmony with each other, so all their food is made with wholesome, plant-​based ingredients.
The food is delicious and clean as most plant-​based dishes are. The space is quiet and reflective. I definitely recommend the teas.
It’s interesting as well to read about their new religion, led by Supreme Master Ching Hai. She’s a type of divine mother for the staff and managers of the restaurant and strange videos of her play all throughout your dining experience. We should all take time to learn about the unique ways others view our world.

Firstly, it was very difficult to decide, because everybody on the menu looks good (and it has pictures to give you an idea of what to expect). We had the curry, and spaghetti. Both were so delicious! The people that run this place really make it, though. They gave us flan on the house because they made a tiny spill! Just really sweet people. Great food. Peaceful ambience. We’ll definitely be back to try everything else!

Guru fried rice is addicting. Nice service and amazing food. Nice to find a vegan free take out place in Portland with really flavorful food! Highly recommend the sweet & sour soup too! They also have really tasty desserts if your still hungry after the meal.

I tried it out because some of the other reviewers (who were also meat-​eaters) said they enjoyed it, and I happened to be down the street. It was either this or Thai Chili Jam, so I thought I should try it out.
Service and the shop itself were fantastic. The employees were amazingly friendly and helped me order. The food was hot, fresh, and quick. However, it wasn’t really enough to fill me up for dinner. The best way to describe it (non-​vegetarians) is: Chinese food exactly how you expect it, but with no meat – yeah I know, I know – that’s what it’s supposed to be!
So I would go back, but I next time I definitely need to try adding a bunch of protein (I’m seeing so many posts about their tofu so I’ll try that).

We almost didn’t go in because they were slow on Friday night. It was around 7:00 and there were people at only two other tables. We thought it was a bad sign and almost left, but some friends of ours always rave about the place so we decided to give it a try. AMAZING!!! The food was hot, fresh, and so yummy!!! The restaurant is spic and span and the service couldn’t have been better. My husband is not Vegan and absolutely loved everything. Being Vegan it is such a relief for me to know that everything there is truly vegan. It has happened to me more than once that I have been told that items (especially spring rolls) at other restaurants are vegan to only find out after ordering them more than once that they really weren’t. It is so nice to know that I never have to worry about that at Loving Hut! What a great place to take all of my friends and family, Vegan or not!!!

I’m not vegetarian but I could become one after eating here! Golden beauty is soooooo good and so is general Tsao is also wonderful. We didn’t know what order to order so we said to being us something yummy… and boy oh boy was it ever! You can’t lose here!

I have been to Loving Hut two times in the past month because I just can’t get enough! I am half Chinese, and so I grew up eating a lot of Asian food. I am not kidding when I say this, it tasted so real and authentic to Chinese food that I couldn’t believe my taste buds! I will definitely keep going here. The service was great, the food incredible, and the only downside is that the actual restaurant is a little small. Otherwise, I would highly recommend this place! I literally could not tell that anything was vegan! I saw some other reviews that were quite immature and nasty, but I cannot understand why. I don’t think it’s appropriate to give a one star review based on one meal…

Still my favorite place to eat!!! The food is consistently prepared and excellent!
I’ve been to two other Loving Hut locations (Seattle and San Fran) and this one is the BEST.

I wish they had this type of a Vegan restaurant in Reno. My tummy was soo happy. The food was delicious! The service was fantastic. I loved everything about this place. The TV had loving quotes while you ate. I left with a lot of new ideas for dishes to create at home. I will be back! Thank you so much for the great food and service. Namaste.

They were a bit busy on my visit (like ½ the tables full), and I heard a regular comment they had never seen so many people in there. We didn’t get our menus for a little while which was awkward so we just sat there for a bit. I had to ask for a water refill twice before I got it. Appetizers are around $ 5, and menu items around $ 8-​$ 11. If you’re vegan you gotta try this place. The entire menu is vegan. The food came out quickly and was all pretty wonderful. I think service would have been much much better had it not been busy for what they’re used to. I will for sure be back again soon!
–Wonton soup: large portion, tasted like ricotta cheese inside the wontons; solid! ⁹⁄₁₀
–Chicken nuggets: super good! I highly recommend ¹⁰⁄₁₀
–Sea divine plate: the fish part was bleh, it didn’t do anything for me. But the vegetable medley and sauce with rice was super good! Large portion. ⁸⁄₁₀

Hands down my favorite restaurant in Portland. The people who run it are always so friendly and the food is always delicious.
It’s super environmentally friendly and focuses on planet health and peace (things I wish more restaurants cared about)! Also, it’s part of a chain, which makes its Eco-​friendly focus even cooler!!!
For vegans and environmentalists alike, this is the best Chinese food option anywhere!

Amazing food! Amazing owner. This place has a great variety of Chinese foods. Won ton soup is a must as well as the sweet and sour meal.
Always enjoy finding Lovin huts in each city we travel through. They are all really great. Definitely will be back!

Excellent service upon arriving. The waiter went above and beyond to explain the menu thoroughly before we placed our orders. As for the food… top notch! Not to mention how quickly it arrived.
We started with the spring rolls which were perfectly crisp. As entrees we ordered the ‘Sweet and Sour Devine’ and the ‘Oregon Garden’. Both extremely flavorful and served as family size which made it ideal for sharing. Overall I had a great experience and highly recommend you give it a shot!

I’m usually not a fan of Asian food, but Loving Hut has changed my mind.
I had potato soup, Spicy Cha Cha and chocolate cheesecake. Everything was light, tasty and filling. I loved the Cha Cha and was disappointed when I saw I’d finished it in less than five minutes, but the cheesecake more than made up for it.
Most of all, I liked the service. The server is extremely friendly and also let me sit back and work after dinner (they have good wifi!).
Pleasant place to go to and have something filling without worrying about meat in the items.

To say I love «Loving Hut» would be a huge understatement. I love, love, love this place. Once I discovered this gem, I have consistently returned at least once a week.
Vegan Chinese food is almost impossible to find and it’s usually not that great, but not Loving Hut. Each time I have returned, I have tried a new dish, but I always get the Fried Rice. It’s is the best fried rice, vegan or not that I have ever had. My favorite dish outside the fried rice would have to be the Noble Broccoli. It’s essentially faux «Beef» broccoli and it’s amazing.
One thing to note: that terrible feeling you get after eating most Chinese food WILL NOT OCCUR here. The food is not greasy, not heavy and certainly I never feel weighed down after eating here.
My husband and I have made it a point to take friends and family to eat here because of how wonderful it is. Last night we actually picked up 5 take out dishes and entertained friends at home. In fact they did not realize it was vegan until we point it out. They were incredibly impressed with the food and have vowed to eat there in person.
Please, I can not stress this enough. Even if you’re a hearty meat eater you will love this place.
