This is a great place for lunch, so long as you can suffer through the sometimes raucous Lincoln high school students. The décor is that wonderfully cluttered Asian kitsch that would have sent my clean-freak aunt into paroxysms of Alles in Ordnung; there’s something dreary and unappetizing about restaurants that look like hospital waiting rooms. The portions are good; the pineapple red curry is as perfect a blend of smooth, spicy, and sweet as you can get; and the padh khee mao is pretty good too. And, they don’t fool around when you say you want it spicy! I try to make a point to cry in my curry here at least once every other month.

Very nice people with great service. I would say the food was quite decent. Good spice, and took it to go. Had some nice boxes with foil that were easy to transport. Was still hot and fresh at home. Will definitely go there again. Pad ga prau, chicken satay, and a rice dish. All solid.

So delicious, such wonderful people! Everyone who works here is just fantastically nice and accommodating, and every time I come in I’m impressed. Don’t get medium spice unless you can handle a lot, go mild + if not. They’re so fast too!

Excellent pineapple fried rice! The peanut sauce for the salad rolls was so good, I scraped the container for the last little bit.

I absolutely love this place. I spent time in Thailand and can say that the food here is authentic. They don’t make the food too sweet like most Thai restaurants in the U.S. and they don’t shy away from using fish oil either, which many Thai restaurants in the U. S do as well! I also know that they import the best mangoes for their mango sticky rice and if they’re not in season it’s not available which is how it should be. Forget about Pok Pok, this place is Thai owned, women owned, and one of the best spots to take your friends and family in Portland.

This place is my favorite Thai place in Portland. I took my wife here for our first date four years ago and we have never had a bad experience. We just ordered the pad cashew for the first time and it is now on the favorite list. Sweet, salty, spicy and sour in the perfect proportions. Their curry is the best and their tofu is always perfectly crisp. I love this place and recommend it to everyone.

This place has potential but their food is too spicy. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE spicy foods but the drunken noodles I ordered at a medium level of heat was so hot it started burning my lips the moment the food hit my tongue. This place has potential but it’s so hot I can’t taste real flavor. Also, the portions are horribly small for how much I paid. I have to say that I won’t be returning. My go to place is Pad Thai Kitchen

Great Thai food close to home. They have an easy demeanor and the food is ready relatively quickly. The pad thai is more than comparable to other, fancier locations that cost much more and the curry is quite good. Have not yet dined in.

Everytime I come here, I’m absolutely blown away by the quality of the food. The staff are so nice and if you order seafood it is the freshest seafood I’ve ever tasted. and if you order in, they’ll fold the paper from your straw into a little rose. I thought that was cute. Huge portions, and it’s pretty cheap too.

This place is great! It’s a little divey but the food is delicious! Pad Thai chicken is my favorite item on the menu! They have different spice levels so everyone can be happy! This is a frequent stop for me!

I like Thai Jam for some quick Thai… Great for a midweek dinner stop I’ve had the pad se eww and the pa ram(with chicken and tofu)… The Thai iced tea was spot on

My manager and I came here for lunch on Friday. We just started working together, so it was a great opportunity to have some time away from the office and get to know one another a bit better. I was last here in June 2014 and liked it, but felt service was a bit distant and could warm up some. Today the food was as good as ever. I can’t remember the name of the dish I had, but it was a combo of pork and veggies and rice with lots of ginger and of medium heat. Very tasty and fresh. Service was friendly and gracious, and our glasses were refilled with our choice of beverage. The décor has been updated and seems more unified in theme and more sophisticated. I’m pleased to award five stars for obvious improvement in friendliness and updates in décor. Good job! I will definitely return and will also recommend Thai Chili Jam.

I was a little apprehensive of the quality near a place where PSU students frequent, but if you’re in the vicinity, it’s a solid place for Thai. The pra ram was delicious and personally the perfect amount of spice at medium. The green papaya salad was wonderfully flavored– but if i had to nitpick, the peanuts were a bit over roasted. Service is excellent and friendly. The owners are high energy for sure.

I trusted my GPS as this being the closest restaurant to get out of rush hour traffic. This was my lucky day! This is a nice space with Thai pop music playing at a comfortable level. I ordered extra spicy mango curry, and they were not wimpy about the spice. Love it! Sweet, spicy, wonderful. The spice was well integrated in the dish. (Uh oh. The capsaicin euphoria just kicked in) This was a good stop.

I work right next to Thai Chili Jam in Goose Hollow, an area of Portland that for some reason or another seems to have hardly anything going for it food wise. I have probably been to Thai Chili Jam 10 times, mostly because it is a pretty solid Thai place in an area where there is not much to choose from. I’ve often get the drunken noodles, which are good but can be rather greasy. The Pad Thai is pretty good here as well. One thing to keep in mind about Thai Chili Jam is spice level. When I think medium spice, I don’t think I need a sweat rag and several pitchers of water to get through my meal. This is what medium generally is at Thai Chili Jam. If you like spice, I’d go with mildly spicy which should still pack quite a kick. I’ve never had anything«spicy» here, and I’m sure my colon thanks me. I tried the Pra Ram with chicken the other day, which is vegetables with chicken and peanut sauce. I thought it was just ok, the chicken was fairly dry, and the peanut sauce was a little lukewarm with reminded me of thin peanut butter or something. Not my favorite thing I’ve had from them. Overall, this is a pretty solid offering in the area. I’ve had better Thai places, but for the price and given the location, Thai Chili Jam delivers.

Excellent Thai back up by great service. The setting is unremarkable with basic back padded chairs and tables. The food however is terrific. They are very careful to ask you your preferences of spiciness. They will make your dishes anywhere from mild to super hot. One of our party had lived in Thailand so he did the order. I haven’t a clue what I was eating but it was awesome. Prices are more than fair.

This is a seemingly run of the mill Thai restaurant in a sea of the thousands of Thai restaurants spread throughout Portland. The food is quite good though. I frequented their lunch service on a several day per week basis for about a year and a half. I also found myself stoping by to grab take out for dinner from time to time. Bear in mind that I tend to go to the good places near my office quite a lot because they’re reliable and quick until I start to get burnt out. The business is family owned and operated and currently has 2 locations that I know of. The staff are always great and know me personally. When I venture back that way we always have great chats and reminisce about the days when I was just a bare lipped Portland transplant trying to make it in the Rose city. My favorite dishes are the Pra Ram with tofu or chicken(Joel loves peanut sauce) and the pineapple fried rice with pork and cashews added. As with most Thai places you can choose your spice level. I tend to go for medium to hot(Joel likes his Kung Pao spicy!) but that can actually vary from tasting no spice at all or it’s so hot the skin will peel off the roof of your mouth. It depends on who is cooking that day. If you’re in the neighborhood check it out!
