Actually a pretty exceptional experience for a drive-through. The lady that helped us was very friendly. She saw my cute boys in the back and said how handsome they were. They are one and two. She warned me that the food was hot out of courtesy for the babies. And when she was taking my order there was a few subtle differences like she knew I was ordering kids meal so when I was done ordering she said and for you… Good job drive-through lady, and good job Jack-in-the-Box. The other reviews that I’ve read for here are good too.

Some lady took my drive thru order in a baby voice and kept yawning while reading my order back to me. When I pulled to the window she was standing there laughing maniacally. She took my card gave me my drink, she seemed friendly, her voice was back to normal. Then gave me my food, back to the baby voice. Transaction complete… kinda. After handing me my food, she leaned on the counter and just stared at me. I decided that was the best time to check and see if got the food I paid for. As i dug through the bag she gave me the stinkiest, fartiest face ever. I’m sure if there was any more interaction it would’ve been bizarre at the very least.

Drive thru always fast, professional and friendly. Especially Tiffany! She’s the best, orders are always correct and hot! She puts a 100% into her job and it shows. Thank you Tiffany for being great.

Our server, Martha, was extremely rude to us. We had just come from a Winterhawks game and had received coupons for free Jumbo Jacks. I specified that we had the coupons and proceeded to order drinks to go along with our burgers. When we arrived at the window we were refused our coupons. She yelled at me that I hadn’t specified what was on the coupon, even though I had — she wasn’t paying attention. In the end she finally let us use two of the three coupons, even though we were three(separate) customers. She kept complaining to us that she was very busy even though there were no customers inside the building and no one behind us in the drive through. I was so enraged by her attitude, one in the car went burger-less. She even got our drink orders wrong! I ordered Diet Coke and received something red… I think it was Mountain Dew. I think she did it on purpose. The WORST service I have EVER had!

3 times consecutively my food has been cold. For as long as you have to wait in their drive-through.(turn of the engine) your food should be piping hot, fresh out of the fryer. Failing.

For what Jack In the Box is, of my two visits(mid day and late evening, inside and drive thru) I’ve been pleased. The menu is vast, with all day breakfast, a good value menu and plenty of grub if you’re just hungry and not looking for magical Portland food. For exactly $ 3.59, I purchased a Jr Bacon Cheeseburger, a Chicken Sandwich and a 30/oz soda. That’s the cheapest meal you’ll find in this area. Staff is efficient and polite, good value, quick service.

I’ve always found this place above average. it’s got a nice location, is always very clean, and the staff are lovely people. Tiffany is always incredibly nice and tells me to «drive safe» when I’m leaving the drive through. I also work in food service so I know it’s the little connections that count. Tiffany always finds a way to connect.

Milkshake machine needed to be cleaned after I ordered my shake, they offered a refund. I declined, wanting that shake real bad, and they made it a large instead of a regular. –1 star for being jack in the box.

On a Friday night service should be more prompt, owner must not care about hiring someone else to help the workers flow more quick for the long line of people that come here…

As of March, 2015, there is an employee at this location that makes the food worthwhile. He is a Hispanic man in probably his mid thirties, and he will give you the best service you have ever experienced in a fast food restaurant. I wish I had caught his name, because I have seen him on several occasions now, and he has always been extremely friendly, quick, and overall pleasant. I believe he usually works nights, because that is when I encounter him, so you should head over to this Jack in the Crack if you are craving a late night food run. This single employee nearly merited a 3 star rating for his restaurant, and I would have happily given an even higher rating if it were based solely on customer service. The downside is that the food at Jack in the Box is not the best quality. Anyone who can sell two tacos for $ 1 has a dark secret(not complaining). But if you don’t mind the occasionally off-putting food, and can find a few things on the menu that suit you, this location of Jack is one of the better options.

Guy on drive thru didn’t know the menu so had to explain exactly what and where on the physical menu because he kept saying he didn’t have that. Ordered munchie box, sandwich and dessert. The box was gross. Tacos were ice cold and soaking in grease. They forgot my other sandwich… Wasted $ 3.00 for me. Bottom line, even for fast food, this place is bad. Barely edible food and abysmal customer service.

I’ve literally been here 4 out of the 7 days this week for breakfast which is pretty disturbing because my job is to keep people healthy… but when you’re a starving-student-who-potentially-has-to-pay-$ 12-a-day-for-parking-at-OHSU-if-she-can’t-find-street-parking, a $ 1 for 2 taco deal sounds like heaven. On my day 1, I thought it could handle $ 2 = 4 tacos and my stomach was about to burst… which I may be in luck since I’d be in the vicinity of all those smart health care providers who can perform emergency surgery and relieve me of the tacos. Let me tell you, these are the most greasiest tacos filled with the weirdest mystery meat ever but oh so good! However, if you leave these sitting out and they get cold it could be really gross. Don’t say I didn’t warn ya! Pros: Greasy, crunchy tacos for butt cheap. Ok customer service and fast order! Cons: Potential heart attack at age 30

It is a Jack in the box. It is not fancy. They have $ 1 drinks(large) which now includes Iced Tea(pretty good). They have $ 1 taco deals(2) and serve breakfast all the time. My dad loves this place, and when I want Jack in the Box this is where I go. Do I expect the staff to be super happy? No. Do I expect the bacon or cheese to be just like the stuff from Whole Foods? No. For a few bucks I get what I want. I share my «I wish it were more like» thoughts for places that sell me $ 10 burgers and don’t deliver.

The food was just as expected, great for the cost and time it took to receive it. The issue I have is the employees. They have no manners and lack customer service skills. While standing at the counter paying for my food, an employee comes into the front counter area to clock in for her shift. She starts swearing at the computer as she realizes she’s four minutes late. Completely unnecessary, and very unprofessional.

I am a longtime lover of the jalapeño pepper poppers but decided to be bold and return to the Sourdough Jack, an old favorite from years ago. Little did I know that the«cheese» they use on the modern Sourdough Jack has more in common with human jizz than any dairy product. Absolutely terrible. Oh yeah, I will still return. I still need my twice annual jalapeño pepper popper fix. Just hold the jizz.

I’m making this semi-short because it’s similar to all the reviews on this page. The food is great, I particularly like their tacos. But Jack-In-The-Box, PLEASE: 1. Fire all the teenagers and illegals with attitude(most all the staff would be gone). 2. Spend a little money and hire some friendly, quality workers who are happy to have a job, no matter where. There’s lots of ex-cons out there that I’m sure would be a safer bet for customer service than anyone working here, and this is based on three different visits. On a side note, the location on McGloughlin is a lot better, friendlier, faster service.

Let’s get down to it. Jacks is what it is. Greasy cheap food. Two tacos have been a mainstay forever. The folks are always nice when I go and its great for what it is.

Worst place ever. I stood at the counter for like ten minutes, then when finally a worker came up he started talking to a mexican sitting at a table for another five minutes in spanish until he finally said«what do you want?» Really?! «What do i want?» I can get treated better in prison. Then it took at least 7 – 11 minutes to get the food…

Fond memories of a teriyaki chicken bowl no chicken double veggies; but replication was not to be had: Sauce all over the egg rolls and the car and the bag and my life Dana standing in the drive through. Dana says, «Sorry, I can’t accept this.» Driver of the car says: «Sorry, I feel like I’m in the way.»

Thought i would give it a try. Its better than Some. The curly fries were good but not crispy. My double Cheese Burger was good but not awesome and the cheese was not melted. My drink was a medium but seemed like a large. That part was cool. Will I be dreaming of the next time? No! So my search continues.
