Newhouse & Hutchins Towing Service

Let me first start by saying this is the first time I have been so pleased with a business experience that I felt compelled to write a Unilocal review. When my car broke down in the middle of the pearl during rush hour I thought everything was terrible. I called Newhouse & Hutchins and they arrived on the scene very quickly. Curtis not only was a pro at loading my car, he also was very considerate and comforting in what was obviously a stressful time for me. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience towing my car to the repair shop. I don’t plan on needing tow services in the future (one never does), but I will without hesitation call Newhouse & Hutchins without hesitation if I should. Curtis was my savior last night; I will be forever thankful for his kindness and generosity.

Worst customer service I ever experience from the manager Sue at Newhouse& Hutchins! I have my own business and know what going above and beyond means when it comes to customer service. When I spoke w/​Sue (so called manager) I got nothing, but rude unhelpful behavior. I simply called into to get a receipt for the tow I had gotten and Sue kept talking over me so I couldn’t even explain my situation. After finally explaining myself, she gladly refused to give me a receipt for the tow which had been performed. I would never recommend dealing w/​a company that hires such rude incompetent people. I have never been so mistreated to write a negetive review. Until now! Never again!

I never thought I would say something nice about a towing company but this one deserves some serious praise for employing a wonderful guy named Jackson! I hope they know what a great employee they have!
I had a Toyota Chinook camper that had been parked on the street near my house for over a year. Well, I didn’t realize the tags had expired and the local sheriff posted a green sticker on the window saying it would be towed. I saw the sticker on my way to run and errand and when I drove back to the Chinook, the tow driver was already there. F$#K!!!
Anyone who has been in this situation knows that the tow driver will hook up a vehicle even with the owner begging them not to. I got out and spoke with Jackson and asked if he was going to tow it. He said he couldn’t get to it because of the car parked in front of it. I explained I didn’t have my key but I would go home and get it and come right back.
Then the Chinook wouldn’t start. I jumped it with cables and still no good. F$@K! Put gas in it and still wouldn’t start. F&*K! I then went to Harbor Freight to buy a tow strap and realized my car didn’t have a place to hook the tow strap! F%*K!
By then the tow driver came back. This guy, Jackson, is truly an angel sent from the heavens and I told him so. He explained that he was always as kind as possible because you never know when someone’s has had a bad day because their mom has passed away. Well, sadly enough, this was my case because my mom had just passed away last week and I was soon standing on the side of the street crying. Double F&%K!!!
Jackson went out of his way to help me get my car to the service station around the corner. Man, this guy should give a lesson in customer service. Maybe he could start with the McMenamin’s staff!

I had thought I had a dead battery, but when I tried to jump it, my car still didn’t start. I called the guys at Newhouse & Hutchins to tow my car to my shop. When help arrived, they bet me they could get my car jumped, and they did! They could have just took my money and towed my car, but they didn’t. They did was was best for me, the customer, and I appreciated that. He did make some suggestions unrelated to the battery, and it turned out his suggestions were right, and I was able to get them fixed before something major happened. He told me if my car broke down again between there and where I was going for a new battery, he’d come out for free. If you need a tow, give these guys a call!
