Delicious food. My only complaint is the higher price but soooooo worth it. I have had all the Chinese food in my area and nothing as good as this. They also have delivery through a secondary provider. Love it. If you have never been here, try it. You will love it.

Good place. Too bad it’s closing May 31st. Reasonable prices and very good food. The BBQ pork is awesome.

Schechuan Chicken, Hot and sour soup are two of our favorites. However, the restaraurant doesn’t have consistency of quality and taste. It’s a hit and miss. Sometimes the soups were diluted and tasted like water and after we complained they tried to fix the problem. Same with some of their dishes. Their service and ambiance are good pretty decent though. There are a few better Chinese restaurants within 5 miles.

It is convenient to where I live but had our stomachs rumbling and very stinky on the flip side. My kid loves the fried rice but that’s pretty hard to screw up… It is mediocre at best. The owner is a cool guy and staff is always friendly. Nothing special, just some ordinary Chinese food!

We ordered 3 things and only 1 was edible. The kung pao chicken was actually pretty good. Too bad that wasn’t the only thing we ordered. Our mu shu was overcooked and we found several pieces of bone in it. The chow mein was so bad that after a bite we threw it away. It’s possible that we got someone on a bad night, so we will possibly try ordering different things from here in the future. The delivery was fast and the driver was friendly. I really wish we had a better experience with the food.

this place is okay… I love their Mushu pork… The sweet and sour pork is not to my liking as it has an overly sweet sauce with chunks of pineapple. The Almond chicken is decent but far from my favorite since well it is more celery than anything else. The Hot and sour soup was okay and the crispy shrimp rolls are great. I have not eaten in the restaurant but have gotten my food to go a couple times from here. While far from the best chinese I have had… it is decent.

Food is well cooked and tastes fresh. Some items like curry chicken, spicy eggplant and string beans are very good.

Cheap and within walking distance but was not very impressed with the food. I’ve only ever ordered to go or takeout so not sure what the dining experience would be like, or if the food would be any better since it seems like when ordering to go the food is just put together too quickly and haphazardly.

Well we decided to try Chen’s for a 2nd time to see if the quality would be better than last time. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. The combo fried rice tasted old, the kung pao chicken was tough, and the egg roles tasted microwaved.(got super hard after few minutes) The bottom line is NOTHING tasted homemade and fresh. So disappointed!!! This place is so close to our house we so wanted to like it, but the quality of the food is very poor. :(Sorry Chen’s!!!

Ate here two times one inside and one take out. The food is not that great, but it was near our house, which is why we tried it twice. The take out: I ordered sweet and sour pork, when I got home I found they didn’t include any sweet and sour sauce at all, trust me it’s not good without it. I called to let them know and they said they would refund the meal to my card, but they never did. I didn’t push the issue. Dine in: we ate here the second time because we had a coupon from , The environment was ok, they had a huge fish tank, which was fun to look at. Our table was clean, but under the table looked like a army of toddlers ate there before us. I had sweet and sour again. It was much better with sauce, but the meat had way to much breading on it. Some pieces didn’t even have meat just breading, that was kinda gross. I will not eat here again.

Dear Chen Dynasty, I picked up some cold sesame noodles at lunchtime to take to work with me. I typically love them and whisk them away from family members so I can have the leftovers for lunch. Mean Janet. They’re basically very simple, shredded carrots, cold or warm noodles(you tell them which you want), cucumber shreds, a bit of peanut sauce, some hot sauce, a few sesame seeds sometimes. Yum. At lunch they’re a reasonable $ 3.95 for a good amount. At dinner $ 4.95 for a slightly bigger amount. Today’s noodles, though. . WOWEEMAMMA. Enough peanut sauce for FOUR batches of noodles, maybe more. I mean, DRIPPING with peanut sauce, OOZING out of the container when I got to my desk. So much of the peanutty peanut sauce, in fact, that I heard elephants broke out of the Oregon Zoo to come looking for me, since I’m now kinda covered with the stuff. Next time, just a bit less, ok? They don’t allow elephants(or other animals, for that matter) in my office. Love, Janet

Edible, only simply edible. Ma Po tofu and Szechuan chicken were both lacking depth and flavor. Hot & spicy soup was bland and seriously under-seasoned. Save your $$$ and go somewhere else. Service and interior were nice though.

Just love this place. me and my sons go there regularly. Its the most consistent in taste i have had almost for the last 12+ years. Service can be a bit patchy and slow at times. We have been regular and dont expect any special treatment, and they have always taken good care of us. Sezchuan Sesame Chicken is my favorite item here… Spicy Brocholi beef is also awesome. Their lunch specials at 5.95 simply worth it. RIght sized for a quick lunch. They also have Gardien(some tofu variety) that tastes like Chicken. in a certain month i have to go veggy the whole month, this is a neat sub!

In the bethany area there isn’t a lot of choices for food places that are good. This place was good for the dish I ordered and i would eat here again if up in this area. I ordered the dynasty chow fun and they were nice enough to make some slight changes to it. This dish comes with shrimp, beef, and pork, a few veggies and the wide rice noodles. The portion size was good and the flavor was really good and was spicy enough with the changes I requested. The service was good with about 20 minutes to order and get my food. The wait staff were also good and they would frequently stop by and fill up my water glass. The price was under $ 9 which is good since most places I go for that same dish are much more than that. This is may not be the best place to go for other dishes, but for a chinese restaurant, the food I ate, and the service etc I’m giving it 4 stars.

We have tried this place once. Its ok. Service and food were just ok. The food was the ordinary, Americanized, tasteless oily stuff that is passed off as Chinese food. If you like that sort of thing this is the place for you.

It wasn’t horrible, but I wouldn’t recommend this place to anybody, for any reason. Had: General Tso’s — bland, soggy, sub-par meat. Beef Broccoli — chewy beef, not much broccoli fried rice — would warrant a letter home to mom in a self addressed stamped envelope my advice = the Chinese place up on the hill near the other QFC

Day 249 of my search for the best Chinese food in the Portland area. The reviews for this place were promising. The online menu tempting. However we found the overall delivery to be flat. The wonton soup contained 2 not quite stuffed enough wontons, it was very yellow(which made me suspect chicken broth cubes), and also contained slivers of barbeque pork. The taste was bland. The kung pao chicken lunch special was promising but the sauce was a bit to vinegary and more tart then spicy. The eggroll, was small, simple and bland as well. My husband had the twice-cooked pork lunch special. The sauce was better tasting(then the kung pao) and the carrots resembled batman symbols. Meh. The search continues…
