Having been a weekly consumer of San Antonio’s Mexican cuisine I had high hopes and low expectations of this place. The food here is fresh, healthy and with large portion sizes. The food is not spicy or particularly flavorful. I had the fish burrito– the fish was grilled and fresh but there was very little seasoning.

The food was good. The service was SLOW. We went during lunch hour and needed to be back at work. They had 2 servers who were not terribly attentive and they were not that busy. There seemed to be an abundance of kitchen staff but it still took nearly 45 minutes to receive a burrito and a taco. They are also very overpriced. We may give them another try for dinner but definitely not for lunch.

Good food. Slow service. Cheap food. Had to ask for plates. Weird dolls on walls. Better than other Mexican restaurants in area. But, I don’t really like Mexican. Super hot sauce was great. Bumped my eval from a 2 to a 3.

In a part of the country more familiar to bad texmex it’s a pleasant surprise to find something so authentic this far north. The pozole is to die for(a house specialty), and the encaladas are great too.

The food was exceptionally bland. No flavor. The opposite of what we expected based on other reviews. We had to add alot of salt. We even added salt to the salsa which we’ve never done before. We had high hopes but we won’t be going back.

Solid true Tex Mex in a nice setting. Previous reviewers have complained about the staff or cooks(being too white) but we didn’t find any problem whatsoever. Service was snappy quick. Chicken Mole Enchiladas were yummy and we had three choices of beans(black, retry, or whole pinto). Prices were reasonable. Coffee Flan was a bit skimpy and that is the only minor issue

Very clean. First impression is they aren’t very friendly, and that impression remained. Good Pozoli but small portion. Extra $ for tortillas. They were out of Chili Verde, which is what I wanted. Extra charge for chips and salsa. Although the food wasn’t «bad» it wasn’t memorable. I had to add a lot of hot sauce, which I usually don’t use. We won’t go back.

I had a fish taco, a chicken enchilada verde and a mole carnita enchilada with a side of chips and guacamole. Everything was amazing but there were as many other dishes other diners were eating that I wanted to try. More visits are definitely in order.

There are white people in the kitchen! I don’t get it. Still, I took a seat. The only server, I think was a server, seemed pretty upset to put it lightly. I waited 5 min and left.

Excellent salsa choices. Street Tacos very authentic. Guacamole is superb, I had the tostada with pork carnitas, so amazing! This is the best Mexican food I’ve found!

The place was a little busy, but the service was good. I got a Carne Asada burrito and it was good(the plate did’t come with rice or beans on the side so I’m not sure if I accidentally ordered the A la cart or something), the margarita was on the small side(for the price) but it was good. I’m glad they opened a place outside of town, it’s easier than going into PT sometimes.

The staff was friendly and attentive, the atmosphere was fun! The food was fantastic! We ordered Carne asada san juan burrito, carne asda street taco, fish taco and a hibiscus maragita. Everything was perfect and if you like hibiscus tea you will love the margarita.
