We had such high hopes for this place. My wife had seen Pusser”s from A1A, with its outside seating area, full of diners, overlooking a lake. We visited for lunch today, and indeed, it does have a nice atmosphere, with Caribbean and nautical décor. The service was okay, except for needing to ask our server to take away dirty plates, but that is par for the course at many casual dining restaurants these days. The food, however, was over glorified bar food, with an ice cold San Pellegrino being the highlight of my dining experience. We started with an appetizer of conch fritters, described in the menu as tender conch mixed with a homemade batter and served with a key lime aioli. These were largely bread, kind of like hushpuppies, without much conch. The key lime aioli tasted more like ranch dressing. My wife and I both got lobster rolls. Be advised my standard of comparison is the lobster roll at Legal Seafood in the Boston area. To be fair, the lobster roll at Legal Seafood is quite large but also sold at market price, which usually means $ 25+. The rather diminutive Pusser’s version sells for $ 15.50 and was served in a folded piece of toast, not even a nice roll. The accompanying Old Bay seasoned chips were thin, limp, and not very tasty. Our server warned us that we would probably still be hungry and that we might want to order something else in addition to the lobster rolls. With lobster rolls that you could eat in about three bites, this proved true. We decided to order the Caribbean nacho supreme, described as tasty layers of chips, jerk chicken, black beans, melted cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, guacamole, and sofrito. I know nachos are intended to be messy, but this thing was a train wreck, with ingredients just dumped with no art whatsoever. The pool of mild salsa on the side was not flavorful, and the jerk chicken did not taste seasoned. The chef could do himself a favor by checking out the complimentary salsa at TacoLu’s or the shrimp and chorizo nachos at Salt Life Food Shack. Meanwhile, at the children’s end of the table, our daughter dined on the children’s menu fried shrimp. She usually chows down on fried shrimp, so when she announced she was not hungry, we tried one of her shrimp. Over battered and oily. I could see why she lost her appetite and focused on just eating the small serve of fruit that came as a side. Perhaps I would have enjoyed the food if we had drinks with our meal. I suspect alcohol would make the experience a lot better. Needless to say, there was not anything redeeming that will prompt a return visit to Pusser’s. It is a shame because it has a lot of potential based on its location and nice atmosphere, but food counts for an awful lot during a dining experience!

A friend and I stopped here for ladies night. FREE drinks! After the 1st one it was over! The drinks were made right(not watered down). It was a long way up to the upstairs dining area and no place to sit. It was warm inside the bar area, which is why we went upstairs in the 1st place, but we endured the heat and made the best of our stay inside. We had a couple of appetizers… shrimp and conch fritters. I ordered a burger and fries and my friend ordered fish tacos. The food was ok, but a lil’ pricey for what it was worth. All in all, had a good time.

I tried this for dinner and football games before but have recently started trying their lunch and it’s amazing! Good service, good prices. Try the fried green tomato BLT with lemon aioli and goat cheese! You won’t be disappointed! Outside seating is really pretty. The pain killers are great too.

My wife and I went here for an early dinner. Our server Jacob was awesome. Excellent service! Food was amazing! The firecracker shrimp is delicious. We really enjoyed the upstairs atmosphere. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because of no upstairs restrooms.

Appears nice but my experience not so good. Downstairs outdoor dining. Very dark ok. Started raining. No one came so we opened and huddled under the small umbrellas. Still no one came so we took our plates and drinks and ran j side in rain. Inside we were asked to sit at first table. No more service. Had to ask for check. I think we could have left without paying. I don’t remember the food being anything special. Not cheap. Maybe without rain it would have been nicer.

Sunday drink specials were very good and inexpensive. The lobster roll was very good but too small of a portion. I will return to try more of the menu options. If you are a seafood lover, there is a good selection for you.

Been here a number of times with groups. The menu of appetizers does not change. Food is ordinary at best, nicest feature is sitting outside. Happy hour prices are decent, but not a place to eat dinner. The food at nearby Irish Pub much better for bar fare. Returned hoping the menu had changed… No, same old choices

The Food is good but for me it’s all about the specials!!! I love the out door seating and upstairs bar! I recommend coming for the ½ off appetizers and drink deals. The weekends get pretty busy but it’s a fun environment to be in no matter the crowd especially during the summer! I’m pretty sure they have ladies night as well. If you haven’t gotten a chance to check it out yet go during the day and sit outside over looking the pretty lake… Maybe you’ll see the turtles that beg for your left over fries!

Venue is upscale casual with a relaxing atmosphere, good service, lakefront view, and great music on Friday nights! Outside seating is the best! Do yourself a favor and have some crap dip and a «pain killer» after a hard day’s work!

This is a nice little spot south near the beach just south of JTB. I had been here previously at night with co-workers and remembered it had a cool vibe and outdoor deck area that hosted live music. Looking for some sun, drinks and live music we finally found it. We walked upstairs where the action seemed to be and luckily grabbed a table along the perimeter. Our waitress had a bubbly personality so that was a good start. We ordered drinks and enjoyed the sounds of the reggae band while we relaxed and talked. Hanging out with an old friend I’ve known 30yrs we reminisced about the old days and shared some laughs together. There’s a few large screen tv’s to catch up on the latest sports event. Be prepared to watch golf during season since this place is just outside the Sawgrass golf village, home to the TPC event. Drinks were good and we grabbed an appetizer of conch fritters before leaving. Deep fried, lightly battered and quite tasty, you could definitely taste the conch. Served with a little cup of dipping sauce but quite flavorful on their own. We’ll definitely return as everything met or exceeded our expectations!

well, nice place but food and drink were not so impressive. well, bang bang shrimp we had for appetizer was delicious but entrée was too pricy for what you get… I had salted caramel cheese cake which was the best salted caramel ever. ballet parking is available which we don’t like to use so had to walk all the way down to find the parking.

Stopped in on my way down to bike week Daytona. Wife had the cuban sandwich, and I had the fish tacos. Ambience early afternoon, midweek, was quiet and unhurried. The ambience included artificial Caribbean landscaping. The food was fantastic. Top 5 for tacos, and top 10 for cuban sandwich.

Good drinks and ambience with Caribbean music. Good mojitos! Not a fan of their specialty drink«Pusser’s Painkiller». Very good nachos. Good Mahi fish tacos. Love their twice cooked short ribs! Meat was so flavorful and soft it falls off the bones. Would come back again.

First trip to Pussers and it was ok. A bit set back by the waiter who seemed to rush us(me and my 214 year olds)… hoping he didn’t think my kids know what Foie Gras is or something or may not tip) but he was a bit rushed otherwise– great Pain Killers, and the food was quite good as well. Pricey as all the other places here but I“m a Pussers fan having spent time in the caribbean and had to go. Will be back, but not with the kids to see if service is a bit more spot on.

My first trip to Pussers in Ponte Vedra Beach. And I thought it was OK. Not bad, not great. I felt the prices for the entrée’s were a little on the high side. I had the grouper… and it was good. But $ 25 for some fish and potatoes is a bit much. My wife had the shrimp Pad Thai… and she did not love it. She said it was OK. Service was also so-so. Also… we used the valet parking. You need to. The parking lot is really tight.

Needed a place to watch the Women’s US Soccer Qualifier and my husband suggested Pusser’s. We’ve seen people hanging out on the 2nd floor patio bar all the time and they seem to be having a good time, so I was up for it. I’ve been to Pusser’s a couple times over the years, but I’ve never been super impressed with the food. It’s good, but it doesn’t blow me away. We found a seat at the bar, ordered a few beers and requested a channel change on one of the many TVs. The bartenders were happy to change the station for us, so if you’re there to watch an event and it happens not to be on one of the TVs, don’t hesitate to ask. We decided to split a couple appetizers to start with. We got an order of the steamed mussels and the Firecracker Shrimp. The shrimp were good: cooked well, sauced well, tasty. But just like any other firecracker or bang bang shrimp dish you can find somewhere else. Pusser’s was one of the first places I had mussels when I discovered the magnificent mollusk. I don’t know where they get theirs, but they were some muscle-y mussels: plump, well cooked and delicious in the marinara sauce. While we were still hungry, neither one of us wanted a full entrée, so we decided to split a third appetizer. We went for the Seared Ahi Tuna with fried spinach. I don’t know how they do it(Cap’s on the Water does it too; ) but fried spinach is sooo good. We had such an amazing ahi tuna a few nights prior that this dish was a little bit of a let down. I loved the wasabi crème they served with it. The tuna was good, but the cut was a little sloppy. To hang out with friends, watch a game and share a few drinks; Pussers is a great option for the area that has limited selection. But it won’t be my first choice for date night.
