Stingers Pizza

Suuuuper slow. Almost an hour and still waiting for a pizza and wings to-​go that we called in. Waitresses have been friendly, but not the 20 – 30 minutes we had been told.

Tried this little spot for breakfast! Well worth it, generous portions of delicious «home style «food! Cheap prices, in ordered small gravy and biscuits — it was far from small! Definately worth trying, locals and tourists alike !!

Ordered delivery on Saturday at 1:00, they took my order and hung up before I could ask how long it would be. Around 2:00 I called to see how much longer it would be and the boy who answered said he has no tickets waiting so he knows the female delivery driver has my food already out for delivery. Thirty minutes later still no delivery so I call back and a girl answers and tells me that now a guy delivery driver has our food out for delivery even though she didn’t know who I was calling (I could have been a
Different customer calling). Worst service ever. For delivery down the street I don’t know how it took two hours especially when I ordered one large pizza and a salad. Very disappointed.

Based on other reviews, I wasn’t sure about trying this place. But since I didn’t feel like driving and it’s right across from beachcomber where I’m staying, the stars aligned.
Ordered a small Hawaiian to go, told it would be about 20 minutes. Hung out at the bar while waiting. Walked back over at 20 minutes, pie was coming out of oven. Very good pizza and certainly fresh. At about $ 14 not bad for a non-​chain pizza for two. Glad I gave it a try despite some of the other reviews.

Great place and friendly staff! See Dominic or Johnny behind the counter. All their pizzas are great and they’re very personable while you wait. Hidden gem in the are for a great slice of pizza before the beach.

The food is hood everytime… TIP: Leah… the server. Your job is to answer my questions. .not be condesending. Asking for ‘crispy fries’ is not uncommon. Then they didn’t come as I asked. Another server Jess had to «do your job» …and…I don’t want to listen to your ‘work drama” your tip depends on ‘service’ so don’t be surprised by your ‘tip’ …I’m still here if you’d like to chat. Yes I was a server for a while.

Not sure what to make of this dish I received while dining in. It was actually quite tasty, but the bottom crust was the consistency of a wet Bounty paper towel. I hope you can see
the photo of the white pizza with tomatoes. I was starving so I ingested the food and I actually enjoyed it! Server was excellent professional part time waitress full time teacher. Good tv setup for watching sports.

Very disappointing experience. Came here because there wasn’t much else around open today on a Saturday night (believe it or not). I had the blackened mahi. It was eh… I could have seasoned it waaaaay better myself. And my gf had the mozzarella sticks which came to her cold and to make matters worse, the wings she ordered were pretty much raw. Completely unacceptable because I had to share my meal with her since we don’t like sending stuff back to the kitchen. I won’t dine here again. Only giving it one star because I cannot give zero stars.

Recently visited for take out. Ordered a small barbecue pizza and received a cheese pizza with onions underneath the cheese and around five or six small cubes of chicken randomly tossed on top. Taste was mediocre at best and the barbecue sauce was nowhere to be found. The service was lousy. There was one server working the entire bar by herself, so I decided to order at the take out counter. The girls making pizza were loudly complaining about their personal lives for several minutes before rudely asking «if I needed anything». Overall, not my best experience at Stinger’s. I’ve done breakfast there before and had a much more positive and memorable experience.

We only had breakfast twice but it was excellent. They make the best egg, cheese and sausage sandwich on a kaiser toasted roll. It’s called an Egg McStinger. Could have bacon or ham also. Service was a little slow but if you are not in a hurray, no problem.

Came for lunch on Thursday and got an awesome burger for only $ 4. The service was excellent and the beer cold. Checked out the lunch specials for the week and the deals looked fantastic. Will try the lunch pizza special — two large slices and soda with refills for only $ 6. Will come back soon!

The place is a nice dive bar. We like to visit on Saturday nights when the piano man is on the keys!
The pizza is Really Really good, the wings are also very tasty. The drinks are nice and stiff and the staff is all really nice. The best part is that the bar prices will not kill you considering the area.

I’ve checked out this restaurant/​bar 3 or 4 times now and I must warn NOT to bother eating here. The service is friendly and prompt but only one of the four meals I’ve had was decent (strawberry summer salad with fried goat cheese). With that said, our last attempt with the food (a pizza) did not work out. Ate one piece and threw out the rest. Tasted like canned tomato paste. And a lot of it. On a good note I hear their $ 4 burgers are tasty and a deal. But I’m not sure I’ll be back to find out.

Service was terrible. Took 20 minutes to get a water. Not treated very well. The place was empty.
That being said, the burgers were on point. Fresh and huge. Was expecting the worst due to service so were surprised how good the burgers were. Came with crinkle cut fries, I just prefer them for some reason! Food was 5 stars. Service was 1 star.

I thought this was on the ocean side, but it is not. Decent view of the parking lot. The service was not bad and the bartender was our waitress, so considering all she was doing, good service but could use a dedicated waitress. The flatbread pizza was pretty good. The special of the day was fish tacos. Good portion of breaded Cod and the taco was very good. Pico de gayo (I don’t know why I can’t remember how to spell that) was just ok. Coleslaw left all of us unsatisfied. Kind of a hole in the wall place, but overall I would rate it average.

We came here because this place was literally a block from where we were staying. My friend had just gotten into town and we were grabbing a late lunch. Given that we were eating our late lunch at 4:30pm, the server wasn’t super attentive. We ordered a handful of wings, fries, burger, coleslaw… We were hungry. Place was ok – seemed to be the standard dive-​y bar.

Stopped in for a quick Wednesday lunch based on Unilocal reviews. What a disappointment!
Burger was unseasoned, overcooked and tasted old, served with unseasoned Ore-​Ida fries, for $ 10???
The place is a dump with no redeeming qualities.

Stingers, one word comes to mind… WINGS. Oh god their wings are so good!
The key is to order them well done with just butter and double fresh garlic. I seriously dream of these wings. Besides wings, their pizza is pretty delectable, it’s reminiscent of Detroit style pizza, pan pizza round, crispy cheese, lots of grease. In addition to the original Stingers dinning area they have added the «Beehive», which boasts rich dark wood and dimmed lighting for a more sophisticated atmosphere. We had the pleasure of dinning in the Beehive and found it to be the perfect bar to hit before a nice dinner or a night on the town.

We had an awful experience here. The bar tender was our waitress. She took our order and then took the orders of three tables around us who all sat down after we did. She brought all of their drinks first and when she finally remembered us instead of admitting she’d forgotten she asked us if we wanted our drinks with our meal or now… Obviously we asked for them now. We had already been there for twenty minutes when we got our drinks and it was another thirty minutes before we got our food. When they finally brought it out my fiancé’s food was burned and there was a green pepper in my blueberry pancakes… I asked to speak with the manager and he was incredibly rude to me. He said «That’s how its supposed to be and we can bring you another one but its going to look the exact same way,» We got up and walked out.
I would not suggest this place to anyone. For, what is supposed to be, a quaint beach breakfast place, it was absolutely awful when even compared to the lowest standards. Awful.
