I had a cheese steak hoagie, and it was very tasty. As someone who has worked in Pennsylvania, I am very familiar with the home of the Philly Cheese Steak. It was a good meal at this restaurant.

I have been into your restaurant on a handful of occasions and almost every time the employees seem like they would rather be anywhere else. I just went in and was going to dine in. I waited next in line for over 7 minutes while the employees just talked and never once even made me feel like I would be helped anytime soon. It wasn’t even busy at the time. I left and am very disappointed

These guys are so much faster than every other similar shop in the area. The food is great for what it is and the staff is super friendly. It’s a great go-to when you’re worried about picky, impatient kids.

The person who took our order at the register was not friendly, it was like we were wasting his time. Several employees and the manager were eating in the dining room and being loud while running around shooting Nerf Gun darts at each other. Won’t go back.

A few of the employees are awesome. The catering manager is RUDE! We have ordered from them numerous of times maybe 2 – 4 times a week. Every catering order is ruined, they forgot the bread TWICE, they forgot a whole platter and the fruit platter had a sack of spider eggs! When we pulled a grape from it all the spiders spread out through the office! When we told her she apologized but said that next time look through the grapes I just came from there and she wasn’t trying to help with our catering order, waiving her hands and shit in my face like I didn’t understand the words coming out her mouth… Fml

We stopped by for coffee and pastry. A young lady took the first order. She was friendly and efficient. I then gave her my order but as I got out money to pay, a young man came to the register. I paid him. Before he got my coffee cake, he began waiting on a friend who asked him how much a pastry was. He told her the price is posted on the item. But the only sign was on the brownies next to the targeted pecan squares. She asked him if they are the same price as the brownies($ 2.49) and he said, «yes.» He then rung up $ 3.19. She asked why it was so high and he replied, «tax.» But that’s a lot of tax, my friend said. He smiled not saying anything. He was then asked, «tax, or is the price different than what you said it is?» He conceded that he had given her the wrong price. Or maybe he was still just guessing. Apathy was dripping all over him. She paid him and he gave her the pecan square in a plastic box. He appeared ready to wait on the next group so I reminded him that I didn’t get my cake yet. He laughed and stood there. I waited and he then went to get the cake. The young lady returned to the register and seemed piqued that I was still there while she obviously wanted to get to the other customers. Finally the young man put the cake in a plastic box and gave it to me. Strange because the first person had ordered a cupcake and received it in a little ceramic cupcake bowl while we didn’t even get a saucer for our pastry. I couldn’t find utensils and had to wait in line to ask for them. The coffee, that is kept in thermos-type cans, was lukewarm, the cinnamon crème cake was a little dry and didn’t have much of a taste. The pecan square wasn’t awful but wasn’t worth the calories. Some of it was left behind. I didn’t try the cupcake and no comment was made about it so can’t report on that. Can’t think of any reason to return to this place.

After today — I’m going to have to pass on this place. There’s too many other restaurants in this area. The customer service absolutely is terrible. It took a couple minutes to be helped at the counter. The food was mediocre. I ordered the chopped salad and potato soup. The salad was super wet and just not fresh tasting. The soup was pretty good but not good enough to return. I will not be returning.

I am not the type to complain unless it is to the extreme. I took my family to get a quick lunch at the Corner Bakery in Pleasanton by Bernal Ave. The place was not busy when we were there. We ordered a Club Panini, Asian Spicy Pork and a kids menu with chocolate chip. When we got home, we noticed that there were no chips. That did not tick me off, but when I opened my $ 10 Club Panini. It has a slice of turkey on one slice the other slice only have bacon and tomato. I don’t expect a $ 10 sandwich to look like this. This was very frustrating and disappointing to say the least. I immediately called the store and filed a complain so no one else will get the same service as we did. I spoke to their manager, Megan. She was nice and apologetic, but the damage have been done. She offered to refund my order. Up to this point, I have not seen a credit. I will recall my post and write something better about this place if they can at least stay true to what they say. Too bad that I cannot paste a photo in my review. I took a picture of the sandwich for proof. People BEWARE!!!

Ordered a Cesar Salad that was more like lettuce and mayo with croutons and cheese. Daughter and hubby thought carbonara pasta and spaghetti/meatballs were fine. Maybe this place would be good for a quick weekday lunch for those who work in the area, but definetly not a destination. Parking isn’t that easy in that plaza either.

Tonight, I give your Gobbler Turkey sandwich a 0. Miracle Whip!!! Yikes. Cold stuffing, tasteless, and where was the cranberry sauce? A red stain with 1 yes one Cranberry in the entire sandwich. Was the bread stale or over cooked? Our other order was the DC chicken salad sandwich. Just as bad, made again with Miracle Whip WHY? This is a bakery why is the bread so dry/stale? This restaurant has a nice atmosphere inside and out. Great patio and a nice location. Really think the food here should and could be so much better than it is currently.

I have been to this location twice now though the visits were far between each other. Since Panera is so rampant, it is good to note that there are only 4CBC locations in the Bay Area(I first discovered this chain in Phoenix). I like this place, much better than Panera. I find the service friendly(order at the counter and they bring the food to you), the ingredients interesting and fresh and they serve Coke products. Easy lunch, comfortable interior once parking can be found and reasonably priced. I can see myself becoming a regular.

If you want a generous amount of food and amazing customer service, this is the place to go! Fast service, clean environment, and amazing food. Their zesty chicken tortilla is my absolute favorite plate! I would honestly recommend any of the plates this establishment offers!

I was in the area and saw the corner bakery hidden in the corner of the plaza and decided to grab a quick lunch. The vibe was very similar to a panera bread. They sell baked goods as well as sandwiches/paninis, pastas, salad and soups. I got a bag of the raisin pecan sweet crisps that’s laid out and pre-bagged in the aisle as you walk in. I also got a peanut butter whoopie pie. The whoopie pie was average. But I really enjoyed the raisin pecan sweet crisps. I normally don’t like raisin bread but the raisins aren’t over powering and add a sweet and tart element to the crunchy toasted bread crisp. It’s also sprinkled with sugar crystals which wasn’t overly sweet either. I also ordered the chicken carbonara and instead of a side salad I asked if I could get a cup of soup and they were kind enough to substitute without any additional charge. The lemon chicken orzo really interested me and I was glad I got it. The refreshing tang of lemon went great with the chicken. The soup was on the thicker side and the orzo made it more substantial. It also comes with a slice of seasoned toasted bread, yum. The chicken carbonara was average to me but the bf really enjoyed it. The meal was about $ 10, great price for the amount I got. Service was very friendly and helpful. If you dine in, they bring your food to you. It’s also very spacious inside with lots of seating including outdoor seating. I recommend this place for a lunch that’s simple and doesn’t break the bank.

More of a restaurant than a café but definitely cute as hell. Their prices are decent, there’s plenty of seating and the staff is wonderful. They have a good chunk of menu to choose from and everything comes in HUGE portions that fill you up and can even leave you more for the next day. I would suggest the pastas over everything, the salads are pretty good as well, the soups waver. Every pastry I’ve tried has had some fault, too doughy or super dry, I stick to the entrees. I stop over for lunch on occasion and always enjoy my time.

Same idea as Panera, you go to the counter and order, then they will deliver it to your table. Personally, I like Corner way better than Panera. Here are the reasons why I like it better. 1) All the dishes have more substance/ingredients. For example when you order a salad from Corner it’s full of flavor and it is full of ingredients. Not just a few measly pieces of toppings. If there is chicken in your salad at Corner you actually get tender pieces of chicken and not just little bits. 2) They serve actual breakfast here 3) The seating area has a better set up, has better décor, more comforting 4) They have TVs to watch sports 5) We enjoy the variety of items on their menu Here’s what our family has enjoyed the past 3 times we have already been: 1) Their pancakes!!! Not overwhelming, they are a good size. They are buttery, slightly crispy on the edges, with a nice fluff. Not too cakey, but also have a perfect bite to it. 2) Paninis: The Chicken Pomodori and the Club Panini 3) Salads: The Asian Wonton Salad and the Spinach Sweet Crisp 4) Soups: Zesty Chicken Tortilla, Lemon Chicken Orzo, Cheddar Broccoli, Tuscan White Bean 5) Breakfast Sandwiches are also good 6) Love the crispy bacon that comes with the breakfast combos. Although, the portion of the egg is not that much with the combos. One thing that I do like better at Panera vs. Corner is their mac and cheese. Panera’s mac and cheese is creamier. Depending on the day and time Corner can get busy, with that you’ll have to expect a little bit of a wait for the delivery of food. The servers are always nice and the manager definitely makes sure that you are happy with your meal. We definitely will be frequenting this establishment. Restrooms: Separate restrooms for men and women. The women’s restroom has two stalls and it’s clean and stocked.

Pros: HUGE pasta portions, enough to feed me for two or three meals, friendly service, and speedy delivery of food. Try the hibiscus lemonade for sure. Cons: The pasta absolutely lacked in flavor; pesto is a pretty strong flavor, it usually doesn’t take much to flavor pasta but they managed to make it flavorless. I will probably be back to give them another chance, but I sure hope my food will be tastier.

I absolutely love coming to Corner Bakery because of their patio area. We are so spoiled with the amazing weather here in Pleasanton! LOCATION Corner Bakery is located right by the fairgrounds and is located in the Pleasanton Gateway Shopping Center. AMBIANCE Their patio is absolutely beautiful. There is a water structure between Corner Bakery and Ascona that gives the area such a serene and relaxing atmosphere. I especially love the lights that surrounds the place at night. They also have heat lamps for those chilly nights. FOOD I’ve only been here for breakfast and lunch so I can’t comment on their dinner menu. I really enjoy their paninis($ 4.99) and for an extra dollar you can get a side of steel cut oatmeal or fresh fruit. They also have a wide variety of baked goods that are conveniently located by the cash register which makes it extremely hard for people like me to walk away from. SERVICE The people at the cash registers have always been great and friendly. However, I’ve witnessed a couple of employees who looked like they would rather be somewhere else than working. I haven’t seen this one particular blonde girl lately, but she was just terrible. She was pouting and dragging her feet while delivering food to people’s tables. She even dropped a few items and did not even bother to clean up or wipe the floor down. I wish I took down her name. Overall, this place had consistently been good during my visits. I would like to come back here for dinner and try more of their food.
