Great food and service! Nice serving size as well. Favorite dish so far is the meatball sub!

This is a very Special Place! Hugo the master chef, pizza maker has been here for 25 years along with Ramaro. The owners bent over backwards to make sure everything was perfect for me! I had a Super Bowl party and Everyone LOVED THE PIZZA AND PASTA AND HANKS SALAD AND SANDWICHES!!, especially the Richie Burger, double cheese burger topped with Pastrami, mmmmm!
I’m originally from Chicago and I’m Italian, and this place is as Good as Any Pizza place I’ve been to!!!
I highly recommend this wonderful Place in Playa del Rey called HANKS PIZZA!

Delivery service is not so good, especially because of the rude girl who takes the orders. Hank’s brought me cold food and got my order wrong :(

A bit pricey for what you get and over an hour long delivery when they were only 4 miles away. However it was late at night. The quality is actually quite good. The crust will make you think of buttered bread rolls in terms of softness and texture. One of the better crusts I’ve had.

I order my pizza just one slice to go and it comes with half the cheese missing? Common guys.

The Pastrami Sandwich good and I mean good. I’m usually fine with the 6″. With the 12″, I haves have some left over, which is not as good later on. Not a big fan of the potato or pasta salad that comes with it but I figured out a solution: Get the Pastrami 101 Daily Special. Then you get fries as a side (plus either pasta or potato salad), drink with refills for about $ 3 more than the sand which by itself. Special costs $ 9.99 and the fries are pretty good. For me, it’s worth the extra $ 3 if I’m looking for a bit more food than the sandwich.

Great food made fresh, great service, very friendly staff! They have an expansive menu and great portions. Definitely will return.

Hank’s Pizza is the best place to buy pizza in LA. The food is great, the menu is expansive, and reasonably priced. The delicious portions are very large.
I go in to order a slice and I am full.

We came by on Saturday night with our kids. Drove all the way from Long beach and all i gotta say it was worth the drive. Brooke was so nice to us as well as one of the drivers. Pizza was amazing cheesy just perfect the spaghetti and garlic bread Wow but We loved the pastrami sub best pastrami sub we have ever had. Definitely coming back is sooooo worth the drive.

I have ordered Hank’s deluxe pizza many times and they have not disappointed me even once.

Haven’t had the pizza but one hungover afternoon I had the Pastrami sandwhich delivered and it is AMAZING! The large is huge but thats ok it’s even better the second time a few hours later.
The side pasta/​potato salad is a little lame but what can you do.

The nice thing about this place is the fact that you can customize your pizza and pick your toppings with no limitations. The size of the pizza is satisfying.
The taste however doesn’t stand out. The pizza’s dough is ok. I have to admit that the toppings were fresh which is a huge plus.
The staff is friendly. The cleanliness of the place is not the best but it will do the job.

Look no further for a tasty pizza. I must admit I’ve never tasted a dough as good as there’s. Must try their Pastrami, philly cheese subs… AMAZING delicious!

Out favorite hole in a wall pizza joint. It has the soft thick chewy crust and pizza sauce that taste like fresh tomatoes and just enough cheese. We have had at leas two pizzas arrive with the crust a little more crispy– not quite burnt… but it was still damn good. And given how often we order the pizzas are 95% consistent in taste and quality.
This is not for prissy pizza lovers or people concerned with their cholesterol! You got like your pizza messy and with a little grease. Don’t try to call on a Friday night — order online and the delivery can be slow on a weekend night. Order early or pick up on Friday and Saturday. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars.
You can dine in but it is a hole in a wall and not meant for large groups. There are a few tables outside which makes it a nice drive by on the way to LAX and a great last minute lunch grab for the beach.

I like Hanks a lot. These guys try their hardest for you. Yes i have had better pizza elsewhere but this pizza is different. There are also other things on the menu such as sandwiches, salads, burgers etc. nothing is too much trouble for them. A warm friendly welcome to newcomers and regulars alike.
My advice, go see Hank at least once if you live in the area and if you like it make Hank a friend for life.

I order from here every once in a while because I live in the neighborhood. Tonight when I went to pick up my order I was ignored for more than five minutes because the three people working there were too busy discussing FEMALE ORGASIMS!!! The cook was trying to explain to the girl who works up front that women just don’t orgasim.
So not only was my food cold after that experience, my order was also wrong!

Another bookmark down, I had been wanting to try this pizza spot for a while now since I’m always in the area. We ordered two pizza’s to go, the cashier was super nice and helpful. The inside is tiny and stuffy with a few small tables, there are also small tables in front of the restaurant if you’d prefer al-​fresco dining.
The pizza was actually pretty good, it had a good amount of toppings and the dough was delicious, I would have liked to try a different pizza other than plain pepperoni, but I wasn’t the one who was ordering the food. They sell pizza by the slice and they are also open until about 4am, for those loooong nights of drinking.
The menu was pretty extensive, offering pizza, sandwiches, salads, etc. This is about to become a neighborhood favorite of mine.

Ordered the lasagna dinner which comes with a salad (I requested Ranch dressing) for delivery through Eat24.
An hour later, the driver called to ask me where my street was. I tried to explain to no avail. His phone nor car were equipped with technology to access Google maps. Continuing to help him navigate via phone, I walked a couple blocks until I found him.
Once home, I realized I had a Pastrami sandwich with fries. Tried calling Hank’s, but phone line had busy signal. Called driver back and got him on third try after hang-​up/​disconnection. He said he would get the right meal and be back. I tried calling Hank’s again, and the receiver was set down as conversations took place until a few minutes later when they picked it back up and I explained my meal wasn’t correct. They said there was a ‘mix-​up’ and they had it ‘right there’ and it was coming soon.
Forty-​five minutes later, I tried calling Hank’s again and got a busy signal. Soon the driver called me and requested I meet him in the spot I met him originally blocks away so he didn’t have to deliver to my building on the 3^rd floor.
Hoping for a silver-​lining with the quality of the food. It was not to be. Ingredients tasted old/​stale. Mozzarella and ricotta had an earthy/​dirt taste. Marinara sauce no flavor. Sad to say, but it was the worst lasagna I’ve ever had. I also got Italian vs Ranch for my salad. Garlic bread was also not tasty.
Disappointed on so many levels.

The food was delicious. I ordered the cut cold trio. It was good! Full of flavor. It had mayo and Italian dressing with tomatoes and onions. I got both the macaroni salad and the antipasta salad as the side, both were delicious! The hubby had the pastrami and cheese with grilled onions, his usual, and it was good as usual. The person at the cashier register (I’m assuming the owner) was super nice! Customer service is a major plus for me, well… I think for everybody!
Definitely a place to stop by if your in the neighborhood. Won’t regret it.

One of the places that popped up on Unilocal as we were going to lunch the other day so we bookmarked them and gave it a try the next day, place is very small but the staff is very friendly. One member of our party had Pizza which was ok, but not memorable, other two members had sandwiches and wings, the wings were good but on the small side, the sandwiches were probably the best part of the meal, they were full of meat and tasty. So while we can recommend Hank’s for sandwiches there are better places for pizza.
Unlike some other places that take a 12 inch roll and cut off the ends and give you what amounts to an 8 or 9 inch «foot long» Hanks foot long is really 12 inches.
