Great pizza! Huge slices. Love how it’s so close to me. And the staff is so nice! Will definitely be going back.

Eggplant Parmesan is to die for. I am super picky about how this dish is prepared and it passes my test. No need for me to spend 4 hours making it my special way when I can order from The Good Pizza so easily. Fast delivery, pleasant staff.

This place rocks! For a slice of pizza, or any of the pastas or whatever me or my family has ordered it has always been good, and the service is wonderful as well. Whenever my family visits we always go here if hungry and I don’t wanna cook, which is always!

Always enjoy a good slice. They do have a good slice here, adding a few basil leaves on top. Busy place during lunch hours as they have a number of very nicely priced lunch specials. Parking is a bit tight. I’d recommend backing into a spot if you park along the building. Seating for about 25 inside, two TVs, usually on soccer, plus background music at a moderate level. Waitress is attentive and the counter personnel is helpful. When there is time between the rush, they come out into the restaurant to talk with the patrons. Nice touch in a small Italian restaurant. Definitely worth your time if you’re in the area and in the mood for Italian. Enjoy!

My boyfriend and I got lunch here on a Saturday. We had the Unilocal deal so it ended up being about $ 32 total(including tip) for a chopped salad and a whole gigantic pizza. The pizza was good if a little soggy in the middle. The crust was good though. The chopped salad was just ok. I would get the pizza here again since it’s minutes from our apartment. It’s not fancy, but a solid go to.

Well, 2 years have passed since I wrote my last update. If I ate pizza every day, Good Pizza would be on my short list — as it stands now, I eat pizza almost monthly and Good Pizza is still on my short list. The Playa del Rey location is every bit the equal of the Westchester location and it has developed its own ‘PDR neighborhood spot’ feeling. The atmosphere evokes family. Service is congenial and efficient. One of my 3 favorite pizza places in L.A. An excellent pizza — great crust. You pick up a slice — no sag — and it naturally folds in the middle. A REALLY excellent pizza The only thing missing at TGP is West Side attitude. One of these days, I have to try the non-pizza menu!

Update: was given the right amount of basil this time to make up for my lack of basil last time. Real lovely management, pizzas are still great! Pizza is always good and the delivery relatively quick but for a $ 20 pizza, and $ 2 for extra basil, we got one basil leaf torn into like, 4 tiny shreds. See photo I posted. Really really disappointed. Not«GOOD,» Good Pizza.

I don’t know why I didn’t give this place 5 stars to begin with. Their pizzas are amazingly delicious & authentic. And the prices are reasonable when you think about the number of meals or number of people a whole pie will feed. I’ve now tried the margarita and the feta. Both excellent, but LOVE the feta.

Good Pizza! Should of been called great pizza. Not the best pizza I’ve ever had but still amazing. The staff is wonderful. Always have a smile on their face. And how about that happy hour!!! Keeps me coming back. Thank you guys for some amazing times.

I went to Good Pizza for the first time in a couple months tonight and ordered spaghetti and meatballs. As always, they were incredible… But I have to drop my rating because, to my surprise, they now cost $ 13.99! And I say surprise because their website still lists spaghetti and meatballs as $ 10.95. When I showed surprise at this price($ 15 something after tax), the cashier said, «yea, we recently increased our prices. A lot of people have been surprised.» I have nothing against an establishment raising their prices. And I certainly don’t have an issue with a place as good as this one raising their prices. But it’s definitely unethical to continue to list old, lower prices on your website and make people find out about the increase after they order. So I ask the management of The Good Pizza — Have you just forgotten to update your website, or are you purposefully listing old prices in order to draw people in? If it’s the latter, then that is an extremely sketchy business practice. I hope you will correct this immediately.

One of my favorite holiday treats has finally arrived. Pumpkin ravioli at Good Pizza. They only sell this treat during October and November. This place is located in a little strip mall in Playa del Rey. Easy to find with the cute Fiat delivery vehicles parked out front. Nice plump raviolis drizzled with brown sugar, nutmeg and a butter sauce. Delicious. The pumpkin ravioli costs $ 16 plus ya but is well worth it. My other favorites are the Chicken Parmigiana sandwich and their slices of pepperoni and BBQ chicken french fry pizza. BBQ chicken & French fry pizza sounds weird but is surprisingly good.

LOVELOVELOVE their pizza. Its a hectic place most evenings, but the Caprisciosa(sp?) is worth it. If you’ve never had some, get some. My wife and I have to pace ourselves to keep our calorie count at acceptable thresholds. Staff are kind, but super busy. I am docking a star because they don’t always have the right prices up for things, and their non-pizza offerings failed to impress to the same degree.

Well, let me start off by saying that I ate here once a few months back. The pizza was was mediocre. Nothing to write home about, but nothing worth giving a terrible review on either. But when a friend of mine wrote his three star Unilocal review after our dining experience, he received a series of long messages from the owner telling him he was«an idiot» and a «parasite.» I’ve never seen such a thing. The review he wrote wasn’t even bad or mean. And while most owners that take the time to message Unilocal reviewers who had a mediocre or poor experience will assure them that this won’t happen again and ask them to come back in and give them a second chance, this guy chose to insult and disrespect someone who was just giving an honest opinion of his business. My friend took screen shots of the messages and posted them here. See for yourself. As for me, I’ll NEVER come back here, and I’ll certainly be spreading the word about the guy that runs this place.

Here is a private message that I received from the owner of The Good Pizza for the review below. DONOTEATHEREANDTELLYOURFRIENDSANDFAMILYNOTTOEATHERE. Completely unprofessional and pathetic. «Ferdinando d: Business Owner It is impressive and amazing at the same time to see how technology has evolved giving the possibility to idiots to have a voice. Happy Life. Vincent: Very professional. I’ll be sure to add this to my review. Happy life. Ferdinando d: Business Owner I will answer you properly when back from Italy. Till then get out of misery and start to live a life.» Because this conversation continued well past what it should have, I’ve included screen shots of our conversation below. Enjoy. Obviously like any other self respecting pizza buff, I make it a point to try all of the pizza joints within a 5 mile radius of my apartment. Well, it was The Good Pizza’s turn, so I ordered a standard pepperoni pizza; nothing special. The pizza was very«blah» and had little flavor. The crust was a little over cooked too. Overall, the pizza was edible, but I definitely won’t be ordering it again. If you’re looking for pizza, check out Hank’s right down the street.

This place offers delicious pizza and it’s perfect when you’re trying to figure out last minute dinner plans. We did a take-out from here, and ordered a half-half(mushroom cheese and Capricciosa). It would have taken 45 minutes for a delivery, so we decided to do a pick-up instead. After waiting 15 minutes, my friend drove up to pick up, and yet she still had to wait another 10 minutes. Other than that mishap, the pizza itself was delicious, they come in a large 18″ size, so be ready to chow down.

***I had the chicken parmigiana sandwich and it was below average; while the sandwich was quite big in appearance(it took up a whole pizza box), the actual filling felt stingy – lots of tomato sauce and some cheese but the just okay fried chicken breast did not really fill the sandwich; most of the time, it was just eating tomato sauce between bread; The Good Pizza was quite busy so maybe it is a satisfying option for pizza*** This pizza eatery is located in a strip plaza with a Subway, laundromat and more; all of these businesses share a free parking lot; it is typically easy finding an open space.

I’ve been driving by for years and never actually tried it until a friend recommended it. I ordered a half pepperoni half margherita pizza for two. The thing is freakin’ massive for two people! We had half the pizza left and never got to enjoy the leftovers. I really liked the pizza crust and that is could support the pizza. It wasn’t greasy and had lots of yummy mozzarella and parmesan cheese. The people who work there are very nice and friendly. I will def go back, especially if I’m having people over and need to feed them! Lots of parking out front and on the street. Side note-the liquor store next to The Good Pizza has a great selection of wine and beer. I popped in before getting my pizza to pick up some libations for the evening and was really surprised by the selection.

Sitting in a parked car late on a Saturday afternoon craving a Chicken Cutlet Parm Hero just like old times in NYC. Get on Unilocal and type in Chicken Parm and The Good Pizza place comes up. Head on over, and guess what I ordered? Can you guess? Give you a hint: CCP. It was delicious! and HUGE. Even this big appetite boy was satiated. I was barely able to finish it, and that is rare.(Chicken Parm: 11.00) Chicken in this dish is pounded flat, breaded, fried. My partner had the eggplant parm – not bad.($ 12.00) Marinara pasta – very good.(Included with dishes.) Side Caesar salad – Okay – out of the bag type greens.(included with dishes.) Owner was on premises – happy, friendly, positive energy. Wait staff – Unrefined, but efficient and knowledgeable. Next time: They said that they make their own beef meatballs w/o pork – maybe that? They also have cheese slices at $ 2.50 to $ 3.00. Wish List: Same Chicken Parm Sandwich with un-pounded chicken that is sauteed or baked chicken breast, and not fried.

I’m not big on pizza and it’s never my first choice for food. The Good Pizza didn’t wow me. I was excited to try this place because of all the rave reviews, and the person who took my phone order had a legit Italian accent. The pizzas weren’t terribly pricey, for three 18-inch pizzas, a spaghetti and meatballs, garlic knots and panzarottos, the total was about $ 90 including tax. There was more than enough food for 13 people, and there were even left overs! The worst: spaghetti and meatballs. The sauce was too sour. And the meatballs weren’t meaty enough, with too much bread crumbs. The best: panzarotto. For $ 5, you only get 3 but it’s worth it. They’re potato croquettes stuffed with mozzarella and salami, and then you can dip them in sour marinara sauce if you like. The pizzas we got were margherita, capricciosa(artichoke hearts), and sausage & pepperoni. The pizzas were cheesy and not completely skimped on toppings, just on basil. Nothing special in my mind, and about as greasy as getting a pie from Papa Johns. The best out of the 3 was the capricciosa, which had ham, pepperoni, mushrooms, and artichoke hearts.
