My SO and I have been coming here for breakfast and brunch for four years. It without a doubt our favorite Sunday destination. The place is always jam packed, but we never wait too long. Maybe 20 min at the most. Service is fantastic — all servers are very kind, prompt, and seem to genuinely enjoy their jobs. I think everyone’s been working there for a long time. Food is awesome, I take anyone who visits south Florida here. Coffee is always good, eggs are always done right, biscuits are always hot, and bacon is always crispy. I recommend literally anything on the menu from a traditional breakfast with eggs, meat, and toast to BLTs. I love this place! I’m sad to leave soflo because of this place. I forgot to mention — HOMEFRIES are the best thing on the menu

It was our first time at the diner, we had to wait 25 mins(which we were advised) but considering it was a Sunday and a holiday weekend we thought it was not a problem at all!!! Our waitress Diane was hilarious, friendly and had the right amount of sass that our table enjoyed tremendously. The food was absolutely delicious & was made EXACTLY how we ordered it… We absolutely LOVED the vibe, the staff and especially the amazing food!!!

Service was extremely slow. I watched two different servers pet a dog at the next table and then go back to work without washing their hands! REALLY??? We waited 10 minutes just to get our drinks then over 50 minutes for our dinner. My husband had to wait another 10 minutes for a second beer. Had the RPP Burger and pulled pork. Both were okay but not great. Fries were cold and not crisp. Will not go back, too many good options in FLL to settle for mediocrity.

I loved this place. Me, my sister, my gf and all of her family raved to our friends about this place. The staff is amazing and the food is delicious. That being said, I won’t be returning to the restaurant. I went with my friends and family one friday morning and it was fairly busy(like always). We waited to be seated about 10 mins which was good but then once we were seated we weren’t served for over 30 minutes. All the tables around us were served a drink, and entrée and we didn’t even have water. When we asked a bus boy who the waitress was, he said I’ll go get her for you. After 10 more minutes of waiting we left.

Love the plantation diner, good food, excellent service. The staff always treats us like friendly neighbors and it is so affordable. I would recommend to anyone looking for a great meal and a great atmosphere.

My family and I went to the Original Pancake House on Broward Blvd for breakfast and there was a 25 minute wait. While standing there, I called Plantation Diner and the woman that answered the phone was rude. I asked how long the wait was to be served and she said there is «no wait». We got in the truck drove 5 minutes to the Diner and there was a line going outside the building. We told the host what was told to us on the phone and she said there was probably no wait when we called… which was 5 – 10 mins ago. I feel we were lied to on the phone just to get us in the door. We left. I would never do business with liars. It is a unnecessary marketing gimmick that businesses do to get people in there door. What it really does is loose trust and credibility from the customer.

This is such a nice diner to go to for breakfast on the weekend. It isn’t fancy, but it is always pleasant and the food good. I love their pumpkin pancakes in the fall and their Mediterranean omelette(subbing out the whites for the whole egg). I didn’t particularly care for the biscuits and gravy, but I will forgive them.

Food is good. Typical diner environment… However I give it a 3 star because I never received my drink that k ordered and the waitress only came twice to the table; Not attentive at all.

Very average food and service. It was so humid inside the restaurant, that the floor was slippery.

I’ve been going here for years but not as frequently the past few years… but wow this place still kills it. Amazing food, prices and service. Now they even have a beer and wine license so you can have a mimosa for $ 4.50 with your Sunday brunch! Awesome sauce!!! Barb is still the best server ever, and the owner is super nice, too. Don’t skip– this is the place for a great breakfast!

Very Good breakfast spot. :) food is not dietetic at all, which is why this is not a higher rating. But flavors are good, people are friendly and service is good.

I love the Plantation Diner. I’ve been coming here for a few years now, and will continue. I have to say it’s primarily because they have HASHBROWNS(whereas most places in town only have home fries)! If you’re looking for good, crispy hash browns, head here.(Order them«flat» if you want them extra well done). When it comes to breakfast, fresh coffee, poached eggs and hash browns are really all it takes to please me, but the rest of the family has ordered waffles, pancakes, french toast and all been happy with their meals. If you like rye, don’t forget to order rye toast. Note about outdoor seating: Sometimes it’s first come, first served, sometimes there’s a list. If you see tables open outside, ask the hostess — you might be surprised that you can skip the wait & just sit down!

I have been sitting here waiting to sit in a booth for way too long with my 5 year old daughter. They have sat people before us who came in after us and have refused to let us sit in a bigger booth because we are just two people and they have reserved them for tables of 4 which makes no sense because they just made us wait to sit at table THATSEATS4. Never coming here again. RUDE and… stupid. In addition, if I ask for fresh cream for my coffee aside from the cream that has been sitting on the table all morning I don’t think it’s right for them to give me an attitude for it. I’m pretty sure the health department gives violations for dairy products kept out and over a temperature of 40 degrees. Again, rude as a response to rational requests.

I’m going to give Plantation Diner 3 stars because it is pretty on par with other local diner establishments. We went for breakfast around 11am on a weekday and we were seated inside immediately. The inside is styled a bit like a retro 50s diner. I find it a bit dark and depressing personally. They have big windows on two sides but choose to cover them up to keep the inside dark. I had the smoked sausage and eggs breakfast which comes with your choice of hashbrowns or home fries and toast, English muffin or bagel. Our server was very friendly and attentive so no complaints there. As for the food it was pretty standard diner fare no particular reason for it to stand out as being extra good or extra bad. I found the smoked sausage to be of a fairly poor quality — it was quite greasy tasting. I don’t think I’ll be rushing back to the Plantation Diner. This area is really aching for a high-quality breakfast/brunch place working with better ingredients. People here seem to value price over quality though so for the moment I guess this is the type of diner we are stuck with.

If you slow down as you drive by to consider this place, don’t take your foot completely off the gas. In fact, STEPONIT and drive elsewhere. Hell, go to McDonald’s if all you to do is waste your money. Trying to eat a little healthier, my sweetheart would like that, so a spinach omelette with tomatoes and a multigrain bagel sounds good. Well, SOUNDED good. Omelette was small, dry, overcooked and somehow tasteless. Tomatoes were ok, but why wouldn’t they be, they’re just slices of tomatoes. The so-called multigrain bagel was an absolute joke. If you’ve ever had one of those cheap nasty square dinner rolls at an office party, you’ve had better than this bagel. Ducks would jump up and crap on my head if I tried to feed this bagel to them. I’ll be nice, the iced tea was good. It’s a shame because I came here years ago and it was good. But now? Something has dramatically changed with this place for the worse. Seriously, go elsewhere!

Ducked in for a Christmas Luncheon fiesta with Marnie the biz partner and all the ladies from Sports & Activities Directory and it was a fine time, here’s why: * Margot bought, thanks Margot! * Big and clean and neat décor * Good service with lots of water! * Indoor and outdoor seating. I enjoyed the $ 8.99 Grilled Monte Cristo Sandwich. Sliced Turkey, Ham, and Swiss on battered Challah Bread. It was huge and delish. Came with pasta salad, or chips, or slaw, but big waffle cut fries cost extra so no fries. The sammy was tasty, although it shoulda had a light dusting of finely powdered sugar on it to be more authentic, and was a little moist /greasy on one side, but still very tasty. They sell beer and wine, too. Good stuff, Cabeza OUT!

Man I hate when BAD service ruins an otherwise good experience. Notice ALL the reviews that have occurred for this establishment just this month… Went on Sunday for breakfast. We were sat pretty much immediately which made us happy. We waited about 5 mins and nobody came over to greet us… in fact we had already decided what we were going to order… which says something about how long we waited. Another table was sat… and pretty much immediately a young girl walked over to them and took their drink orders. I HATETHIS! This always gets my goat. As she walked by I asked her if she could grab our waitress… I just assumed she was the waitress for that other table. Our waitress appeared(finally) and asked if we were ready to order… I told her YES, but we’d also like some COFFEE . Here’s where it goes bad… I mentioned to her that I had to ask the younger girl to get our waitress so we could order. The older waitress promptly tells me «She’s the DRINK girl» she should’ve gotten your drink orders …(well she didn’t)… I am the WAITRESS I only take FOOD orders… so here’s where she starts to ARGUE with me MORE. I told her the drink girl didn’t ask us for our drink orders, but we were ready to order. She promptly tells me I was wrong. WTF? She wasn’t even here we had to ask for her… how could I be wrong??? And PS who the he11 cares, get me some caffeine pronto. My friend was astounded that this lady was arguing w/me, like seriously a B! We ordered, got our food, rather enjoyed it, she lightened up as the meal went on AND even served us Coffee(which I guess is a drink?). They also dropped the ball when we went to the cash register to pay… the guy didn’t ask us how our meal was(b/c I surely would’ve told him) nor did he thank us for our business, in fact, I don’t even think he said a word to me nor my friend as we paid our bills. So, for a local place to grab some food it’s ok, but what’s severely lacking here is management and service. I don’t need to go back, there’s other places to eat Bageland or Marian’s for instance that offer better service.
