Pinch a Penny Plantation is the place to go for all your pool needs. I have been using them for over 10 years. I recently had my pool renovated and I was very nervous with trusting a company to do the Job. Jeff the gentleman in charge of the renovations was patient with me throughout the whole process. I love my new pool and I even cried when I saw it for the first time.

UPDATE: MITCH, OWNER, UNDERSTOODOURISSUESANDGAVEUS A CREDIT. THANKS! My husband hired them to resurface our pool, involving glass tile around the pool. First, it took forever! Had to come back 3 times to remove air pockets from the pool because every time we checked after them, there were still large air pockets. Jeff the guy in charge actually told me «Ah they are not allowed to remove to many air pockets» Hired out for replacement of skimmer, as well as the pool tile, removal of all surface of pool, air pocket removal, etc. Jeff was in charge of the job and via numerous text, had to have him come out numerous times during the job process for issues. The tile on the steps was redone at least 4 times or more and not because we asked, but because Jeff ask them to. The tile regardless of how many times they fixed it, the finished project… is tile that is not strait! We felt like we had to be here 24⁄7 to make sure the job was done correctly ourselves. Then the company hired to do the stone scape sprayed the wrong color on the surface. The samples were given, the choice was made, and wrong color! They did respray the correct color after having to chip the other color down from the glass tile so they could spray another layer of the stuff which took some of our surface away. Lets just say we can walk around the pool standing up now. Its thick. It was a comedy of errors and apologies from Jeff. Before the stone scape was sprayed, He had the nerve to tell the guy«we caused delays by not making up our minds about the surface» I let him talk and quickly corrected him about all the mistakes and errors that his workers made on our pool and how many times they had to redo things. He apologized for that and said he was not trying to blame the customer. Anyway, once they FINALLY finished, the pool was filled and the next day was leaking so badly, we thought YOUHAVETOBEKIDDING!!! I told Jeff that the light looked bent, and let him know the pool was leaking a lot! From this point on, it was Jeff, the owner, the skimmer guy only coming out and checking the light, checking the skimmer, checking around the pool for leaks. We lost a lot of water… This lasted for a few weeks. At which time we had to go on vacation. Once we left, they continued to come out and search for leaking even until the day we returned. We have them on video, despite the message we received that it was fixed and not leaking. Since they started the project, not once was it mentioned to us that our drain was cemented in by previous owners, not one time did they ask if they could cut our pipe from the pool to the pump front he drain, not once were they ever able to fix the leak in our pool. We came home and still leaking. They stated they had removed the light(of which I was a witness and have video for), patched around it and that was done numerous times, they patched around the skimmer a few times, they checked many times with sonar! AGAIN, THEYWERENEVERABLETOFIXTHEPOOLLEAK. While we were on vacation, they cut our drain line to the pump from pool and sealed it, told us the drain was cemented off in the first place before they started the pool, which was never ever mentioned to us when they started the job, and still not fixed. We were fed up, and wanted a second opinion, so we called«„a reputable company“» to come out and diagnose the problem with the pool. They found that the drain from the pool to the pump that ran by the skimmer area was cracked, the skimmer was improperly installed and would always leak, the new light which had been puttied many times was still leaking and that the putty put on it several times was only temporary. To the tune of $ 4660, we paid half up front to have the pool repaired again to fix the issues that were there after our pool was remodeled. Our pool did not leak before we started this process. And they want the remaining balance from us which about the same as we will have to pay to have the pool fixed. We are being told to talk to the skimmer guy they subcontracted and had at our pool many times about the skimmer that they are not responsible. It has been an very unhappy, stressful, overall bad experience. Before the pool remodel, we had no problem with this company. We gave them ample opportunity to fix the leaking, which they could not do. We have always had our pool checked there, but it seems that any issues with the pool … well lets say, money seems to be more important to them than the client… that is how we feel. It saddens us that they cannot comprehend how disappointed we are in the entire process and how disappointed we are in the workmanship, the overall final project and in all the mistakes we had to deal with and to top it all off we didn’t get the we feel quality product that we paid for which was almost $ 15,000. Do they know what it feels like to pay so much money and get way less that what you paid for.
