We had not been to this place in a while because we moved out of the area. It was a real treat to come back and find that the food was still as good as we remembered. I had the chicken milanesa which was a very large portion and cooked just right. My wife got the pork and chicken which was also very good. The black beans and rice are not to be missed! The service was spot on, even as the place was pretty busy. If you are looking for Cuban food, this should be your stop ten times out of 10.

I have been to most of the Vegas Cuban in the Fort Lauderdale area and this location is the best by far. The food is always good they always have yellow rice and the drinks are always big and full of ice the way we like it.

The food and the service here is wack! 7 of us went to eat and my food came when everybody else was finished theirs. And it came out rushed and not even good. No apologies, no concern. Will the real Cuban spots please stand up?!

Worst Las Vegas experience ever. I usually go to the one in Pembroke Pines, but I was next door. So I went there. The service sucked. They had no water. They forgot to put ice in my cup for my soda. He was rushing us and it was just a horrible experience I will not go to this one ever again.

Food was great but for 5 Trays I need 5 of the large spoons and tongs for the chicken. I received 2 large forks and one spoon in my Lunch order. How are they supposed to grab the chicken? Luckily my physicians office had extra utensils, if not I have to run out in heels to the closest store to purchase utensils. Please do «triple checks» like McDonalds does to get the order right. I can’t afford to leave a lunch presentation to go buy silverware. Large Handled bags are needed for your take-out orders, this is a given. If you can change these minor things I will give you more business as I have a lot of accounts in the area, if not I am I to the next restaurant that is already doing these things.

This business is one of the few that has a place in my phone’s contact list. I usually stick to ordering Lechon Asado(roasted pork dish) or the Las Vegas Combination — which is a platter of steak, chicken chunks and roasted pork. Both come with a sides of white rice, black beans, plantains and garlic bread. Truthfully, the quality of the food is hit or miss. Some days, my order is bursting with flavor, making my tongue sing with joy, and at other times, I can almost hear my tastebuds asking what the deal is. It seems as though the chef changes often, which is a total bummer, but I’ve never had a big issue with my food. Hopefully Las Vegas Cuban Cuisine will recognize the benefits of consistency and correct this problem.

Absolutely horrid! Never again! We choose this as a last resort and it was a huge mistake. Out of 7 of us, 3 had semi decent food. I got the shrimp creole, which was absolutely disgusting. Never in my life have I tasted shrimp that had no taste whatsoever. They served me tasteless black beans with«congri»(mixed rice and beans) that was not even edible. My sister had steak that was like rubber and the«Lachon Asado»(roasted, shredded pork) tasted like leather! It was so bad my sister’s elder father in law chewed a bite for 20 minutes before he just couldn’t chew anymore. NEVERAGAIN! I’ve been going to Las Vegas for 15 + years, at the 441(the original Hollywood location) this one has always been sub par but never as horrific as it was last night. BEWARE — both my sister and I have been sick all day! Avoid this disgusting place at all cost or you’ll def. pay the price !

Stopped in on Saturday for a late take-out lunch. I was hungry and hopped on Unilocal to find something as I wasn’t very familiar with the immediate area. Saw decent reviews and decided to give it a shot. It was about 2:10 in the afternoon and the place was empty except for 1 table, now this place seems huge! Had to be about 40 tables I could see. I thought great, I can order get my food and get back on the road quick, so I placed my order to a friendly guy at the front. I ordered just a Cuban sandwich with a side of fries. The order took almost 25 minutes, which seemed like a long time for a take out sandwich. Oh well, I was hungry so I grabbed it and left. As far as the sandwich, it wasn’t great but wasn’t bad either, I’ve had MUCH better, but it was filling. It seemed plain and dry, no real taste to it. Don’t think I’ll find a reason to come back as it wasn’t anything special.

One of the places I go every time I’m back home! Try the Cuban sandwich it’s the best! Unfortunately the quality of service has gone down dramatically in the past two or three years. It’s better during heavier hours.

Las Vegas is a chain restaurant and I have been to many of the locations of ra quick bite to eat. You can count on them for being quick, the food will be good, but the service typically leaves something to be desired. Today we went and upon arriving I asked if they were open, as we were the only ones in the restaurant. The lady looked at her watch and said, yes. She said to sit anywhere we want. With about 50 tables available, we went to grab a booth kind of close to the door. I saw a crumpled up dirty tissue sitting on the window sill, so I went to the booth next to it. Someone quickly brought out hot garlic cuban bread, and soon after our server came by to grab our order. He did not write it down, and returned soon after to verify it. We ordered mariquitas, arroz con pollo and pan con bistec. We sat for a little bit and then came in a party of two. They invited them to sit wherever they wanted, and of course, they sat right next to us. I never understood that. So, we then had to talk a little quieter, and I kept getting hit every single time the guy leaned back in his seat, because the booths are super thin and comfortable, very cafeteria-ish, but it works at Las Vegas… Well, after a few back beat downs, I decided to get up and move away to one of the other 50 tables in there… Soon after our food came, a nice guy who spoke zero English delivered it. I told him he could cancel the mariquitas, because we never got them. He looked super confused. I tried to say it in spanish… soon after they came out. I wanted to tell our server we didn’t want them, and we wanted some sauce and limes, but he never returned. Yes, there were only two tables in there at the time. I went up to the hostess stand and asked, and she brought out what we needed. We were done with our meals by the time he returned, so we just asked for the check. He quickly processed our payment, and we were on the way. Food was average, and was hot, so no complaints there. It’s just the service and cleanliness that keep me going to another cuban joint that is much further away. On the other hand, the cantina at Las Vegas is pretty awesome. It’s $ 38 per person for 5 nights of dinner. There are so many things on the cantina menu, and with two cantina orders I can easily feed my family of four. The gentleman who is behind the hostess desk at night when I pick it up is super friendly, and very efficient, I wish the servers were that good!

Food is always good, service not so good. I went to have dinner by myself on Sunday night, when the server approached the table just look at me and said just you? No the kind of greeting i was waiting for. Very plain service. Checked on me once then dropped the check. At least my food was yummy!

I’ve apparently come here in-vitro, my mom craved this while she was pregnant with me The food is consistently delish and provides a lot of food for the money. Come before 5pm any to enjoy a generous lunch special. — the roasted pork or fillet of chicken is always delightful

Popular Cuban restaurant in Plantation, I have been here several times on my work lunch breaks. Las Vegas is a family owned south Florida chain restaurants, some locations are nicer than others, this Plantation location is a bit run down but still ok, the dining room is large offering mostly tables and some booths. There are some great lunch specials, just about everything comes with you typical Cuban black beans, white rice and delicious Plantains. Being a Cuban restaurant they serve delicious Pork specialties like fried Pork chunks and Lechon Asado, great Churrasco(skirt steak) and delicious Chimichurri sauce, amazing tamales and tasty Cuban desserts. Lunch is served quickly which is convenient if you are on a lunch break, and everything is reasonably priced. Service is friendly and attentive, as soon as you are sat down they serve you warm cuban bread and water. There is plenty of parking to easily get in and out.

This is a great place if you’re looking for an affordable and filling lunch. Daily they have at least 4 dishes listed under each day, running about $ 9 I believe. Its a great deal, the portions are huge, and I’ve never had anything here that wasn’t amazing tasting. The service is so so, quick with the initial order, but then negligent once the food comes to the table. Don’t be shy to ask anyone for re-fills otherwise you may end up waiting awhile for your server to come around.

I actually been coming to this spot for roughly 4 long years. I have countless stories and I come back because they know me in all honestly. I get greeted like I just came home, talk to the employees like we know each other, and eat like I am back home at my mother’s home. This location is kind of in a dark side of the strip mall and the sign is even losing its lights. When I first started coming to Las Vegas, I thought it was nicest«Cuban» restaurant. And I say cuban like that because, clearly, I was still new in South Florida and hadn’t visited Little Havana yet to know what real cuban food is. I wouldn’t consider this place Cuban food actually, at all. Even though the family who began the business is originally from Cuban and that is what their restaurant is based on, it doesn’t necessarily serve authentic meals or feel like it inside. The employees definitely aren’t Cuban nor are the cooks. Their bread, if made by the right lady in there who wears a blue shirt and fills your cup with water, is sooo good. We usually ask for more baskets(one time, they tried charging us for the third one, thats another story & that«policy» didn’t last very long). If you like lemonade, definitely try it here. They give it to you in a huge cup that not even the soda comes in, totally worth it. And now to think of it, it’s definitely lime but this is how spanish people make their lemonade. I have tried almost everything here but my favorite is their churrasco. If you order any meat here, ask for a side of «garlic sauce» to give some of your food more flavor. This place doesn’t break my pockets when I just want to get a quick dinner meal(their lunch specials are really good too). If you are looking for authentic real Cuban food, I wouldn’t suggest coming here. If you don’t want to cook tonight but want quick, cheap, some-what delicious spanish food, then I say come here. This definitely was my spot back in college!

Agreeing, I have had better Cuban food but the Cuban food options are limited in this area. The food is good but lacks seasoning. I found it to be bland. The portions are good and the service was friendly and bilingual. Menu is bilingual too. Prices are excellent. Plenty of parking in a strip mall.

Unfortunately there aren’t many Cuban restaurants in the sunrise/plantation area and so Las Vegas seems to be our default place. I’ve had sandwiches from here and I was not impressed at all. I’ve tried both the Cuban and the medianoche and unfortunately both were very wet n sloppy rather than well put together and toasted. The food on the other hand is not bad at all. I’ve only eaten take out and have never dined in. Food wise the Las Vegas tro is the best of all worlds, you get chicken chunks, vaca Frita and pork with rice n beans. All of them are delicious. The plantains could use a little love, they look lazily made and are very bland n soft compared to the nice toasty rich flavor I’m used to. Like I said, not many Cuban options around here so you have to pick your battles and know what to expect!

In a nutshell — you probably want to get the food to go. The food is good — I’d even say damn good — but the service here was atrocious. Besides the fact that our server obviously had a chip on her shoulder… and didn’t really care much to make any attempt at being personable — she also messed up a vegitarian order! We asked«is there any meat in this tamal?» She said no… that one comes with out meat. OK… perfect! When it came out, I told my wife I HIGHLY doubted that a Cuban tamale would come with out pork… so she cut into it, searching for pork bites… sure enough… there they were! The server said«OH, you should of said you were vegetarian…» UMMMM we asked if it had pork!!! We asked the tamal to be taken off our bill… she agreed. But of course when the bill arrived, it was still there. This same lady was super rude to her fellow coworkers and even screamed at one of them during the time we were there. No idea why the manager just stood by the door chillin’. Anywho — on to the food. I started with croquettes. I’ve honestly been spoiled because first my grandma made the best croquettas ever — and then I discovered this place in Miami that has THEBEST croquettas(at a restaurant) ever… so these… these fell super flat. Not just on the taste side but they were also SUPER hot inside. Usually croquettas sit in a warmer, or are made on the spot. I have a feeling these were reheated, but don’t know for sure. I had vaca frita. You really can’t go wrong with this dish. It was great! Came with a side of morro(no congri here for some reason… that’s not true Cuban cuisine, but when in the middle of Broward, I’ll be happy with what I can get!) and platanos. The platanos were great! Super soft and sweet with just the right amount of crispness on the edges, just how I like them. So yea, the food was good… the service… not so much. Super easy parking, clean restaurant and the perfect place to grab food — and take it home!

I come here often because the restaurant is located really close to my work office. They are fast and the food is good and tasty. The reason why I gave Las Vegas 4 stars is because they could do a better job with the decoration. I think the building needs some work. Lunch Specials are really good and portions are big.
