I’ll start by saying that the staffing at The Salad Stop was exceptionally nice. I recently visited for the first time on my lunch break with the intention of checking out the shopping center, which has filled up with new businesses and restaurants. The Salad Stop offers a menu of signature salads or you’re able to create your own. I decided on the Southwest Chicken. The salad is mixed in a bowl then chopped(more like smushed) with a chopping gadgets. I paid nearly $ 10 and got my salad to go in a Styrofoam container. For most people(myself included), half of the eating experience is presentation so when I opened the container and saw the salad thrown in the box very sloppy, it was a turnoff. If I hadn’t watched them make it myself I probably wouldn’t have eaten it. The flavor of the salad was pretty good and the price is consistent with many of the salad restaurants I visit regular. However I would respectfully recommend that they consider putting effort into how things are presented. There are several good(some great) salad restaurants in Plano so if they’re going to compete they need to consider all factors. I wish them well and will consider trying it again in the future.

Yum and yum! Having my salad chopped for me was life changing ;) Salads are fabulous and LOADED up with goodies! Tasty, healthy, highly recommended!

It’s tucked into the side of a shopping center. The interior is kind of narrow, but has lofty ceilings. Walls are avocado green and there’s a flat screen TV. It’s not entirely ugly, but it’s not remarkable either. It’s pretty much the same as Subway, except they specialize in salads. You can order from their premade salads, or create your own. They also have shrimp as an option, which is a rarely seen option outside of sit down restaurants. I never tried it, but it’s nice to have. The food is kind of pricey, pushing $ 1 more than places like Chipotle, but if you order their salad of the day it’s not too bad. The salad greens are all fresh and crispy, and you can get the salad tossed or chopped. The chicken they use seems to be the thawed variety from bags, which is kind of a disappointment given the price. It wouldn’t be too difficult to grill up some fresh chicken each day. The employees are very polite. Like others have said, it’s hard to mess up a salad.

I really like Salad Stop and have had good experiences on several occasions. The food is great — I really like the Buffalo Chicken Wrap. You get a lot of food, and the staff are very friendly and accomodating. I would give it a try if you haven’t been here!

Went there on a Groupon. First impression was they were understaffed. One dude working the counter and at least 5 tables were empty and hadn’t been cleared. The guy behind the counter was friendly and took the time to explain how the place worked which kept this from being a 1 star review. Salads. Ya know, it’s hard to mess up salad as long as the stuff is fresh, which it was. I just think that if you are going to specialize in salad you need to do something different. Kick it up a notch because good salad can be had anywhere guys. This was pretty highly priced average salad and I just can’t write home about that. Soup. We went in there craving soup as it was the first really cold and rainy day of the winter and soup just sounded good. Baked Potato Soup: YUCK! imagine very heavily peppered watery gravy with a few mushy potato chunks. Chicken Tortilla Soup: Yikes! Whats with the spice bro? Stuff was damn near inedible and as the name implies there should be tortilla strips/pieces in the soup. This stuff seemed like it was run through a food processor and was the consistency of watery oatmeal. We will not return. Jason’s Deli, Eatzi’s, Corner Bakery would all be way better choices than this.

Used a Groupon today and thought they really did a nice job with the salad and soup I ordered. Got the Crunchy Oriental Salad and lobster bisque. All the ingredients were fresh and I thought the prices were reasonable for what I got(even at full price). The people were really friendly and the food tasted great. My only concern is that I also got a Southwestern Chicken salad and I would have liked to have been given an option on the dressing. The menu board didn’t indicate what dressing was on the chicken and it was too late to change when they brought the salad to me. I would certainly return to this location. Good value and good food.

Good place to have a healthy fast food stop, my wife and i liked this place, the location is not the best, it was empty when we went there, i guess it was not lunch or dinner time, maybe that was reason, staff was very friendly… Groupon friendly

Pretty bad. Think Souper salad quality, and Jason delis prices. ThEre were nats by the lemons at the drink station. Ingredients used not worth price.

Great food at a good price and the staff is friendly. What more can you ask for. Not sure why the others had a bad experience — I’m becoming a regular now.

So… went on a date with this girl from Plano. Had no idea where to go, but wanted to go a bit healthy. This place just kinda sucks, to be honest. We walked in, and the staff was friendly. Great start! Way to earn that extra star, staff people! Then realized that they have SO much more than salads(well, this is a plus… based on their name!). Another great asset. THEN, we went to get seated, and every table was filthy… like, the gross kind of filthy. Super gross. Were the employees slammed? No, there were 2 other people in the restaurant, and the food left on the tables had been sitting for a while. The employees were standing around talking. Not a whole lot happening there. Although I DID notice the girl with the gloves on(the one who made my sandwich) was running her fingers through her hair… with gloves on… making food… need I explain further? I mean, c’mon. Anyway, I had a sandwich and she had a baked potato… $ 5.99 for a «loaded baked potato.» It was lightly loaded, not baked fully, and lukewarm… not worth it under any stretch of anyone’s imagination. Go to McAlister’s if you want a good freaking baked potato! As far as the sandwich? It was lame… I guess that’s the best way to describe it. Not great, not horrible or bad tasting, but just… lame. I don’t see this place sticking around much longer. The name, the business hours, the crappy food and inattentive staff… just sounds like a recipe for disaster in my mind. Anywho, the date got better when we left. But the restaurant? I’d say take a pass and find somewhere else. I maybe back, um, wait, no… I won’t.

Really wanted to try this place, as my daughter and I love salads. Saw this place when I went to an eatery nearby and thought it might be a nice alternative to another salad place up the Tollway. My daughter and I were excited to try it on either Friday or Saturday(can’t remember exact day) and went during mid afternoon and they were closed. Sign outside says open sun-mon 11 – 8 I believe. Not sure what was up but was disappointed we wasted a trip. So I tried today and went in about 4 pm. I am sure the young lady inside saw me pull up as she looked at me, but by the time I entered the door there was no one to be found. I stood there and looked at options but when nobody appeared I turned and left. She yelled hello as I was exiting but by that time I was annoyed. The place was completely empty. May give it a try another time when in more patient mood. Customer service is extremely important to me when I’m spending valuable money eating out.
