I walked in here and I was the only white person. Everyone else was Asian. I love this because it means I came to the right place. However, the lady who waited on me was very impatient and told me I probably won’t like anything because it’s Chinese and I probably don’t like Chinese food. What a slap in the face. This is not customarily how I’m treated in Asian restaurants. I finally told her to come to my table and let her know, I know I’m not Chinese but I know Chinese food and I can use Chopsticks unlike most other Americans –racist on their part. I call it like I see it. She then goes on to tell me she does not speak good English. One insult after another. I love Chinese food but I was made to feel Ike an unwelcome guest. Very mean to me and very unwelcoming. Never again

Sapporo can’t quite decide what they want to be when they grow up. «Ramen» is in the name, but they have taiwanese food, a tiny half buffet for lunch, and Japanese foods. The menus are several pages long with no real specialty. This location used to be a frozen yogurt shop. They awkwardly kept some of the furniture and… bright colors of the previous shop. The back end of the store where the restrooms are located are clustered with asian knick knacks and is filthy. However, the restrooms are well kept and don’t have a lingering stench. The appetizers aren’t particularly impressive(popcorn chicken, seaweed salad, and edamame), and the ramen is mediocre at best. Pros: –thick, hearty ramen noodles –two halves of boiled eggs instead of one –juicy pork and beef used Cons: –the broth is literally water and flavorless –there is no specific flavor –the spicy is a bland spicy with no real lasting heat There isn’t a decent ramen place near me for miles(downtown), so I come here when it’s nippy out, and I’m not feeling phở. It’s getting more disappointing the more I come, though. At $ 8 and change for ramen, I probably need to just avoid it altogether.

I heard they have great ramen here and I love ramen so thought it would be perfect, however I was severely disappointed. When we walked in to sit down the place was not very crowded, we were told to sit down anywhere so we did. Then we waited 10 plus for anyone to take drink orders, and then we waited even longer to give our order. This place truly gives you high hopes given the authenticity of everything, like the menu and specials are all in Japanese. When my pork belly ramen came I was starving and went to dive in, and my heart sunk with the first awful bite! This is by far the worst ramen I have tried in the Dfw area! It was cold and fishy and the noodles were hard! I am always always one to give places another chance but this experience was so bad I am not sure I can.

I have been to this place before when it first opened and I wasn’t impressed, so I didn’t go back. I’ve learned that this place is under new management, so I decided to go back. I had vegetable Champon(noodles were al dente and very good and the broth was very tasty). I was happy with my meal though it could had been without the asparagus/red peppers and broccoli. Over all, It was fine as I could expect from this establishment. I will probably go back there again and try other items on their menu as they have variety of things on their menu.

I ordered the R5 ramen bowl(spicy with BBQ pork): it was piping hot, not too spicy(which ticked me off), BBQ pork was flavorless and overall it was just OK. The sides of tempura veggies were a little on the greasy side(oil not hot enough back in the kitchen?). They have a huge menu, and that may be their problem: they serve everything Chinese, even round-eye safe crap and aren’t really focused on just ramen or «grill».

Hello again fellow ‘Yelpees’! Had date lunch with my wife at this wonderful simple unassuming restaurant facing north on the southeast corner of Legacy & Chase Oaks. For vegetables, we ordered Ah Choy, which tasted like water spinach; also ordered Japanese eggplant in garlic sauce. I ordered a very savory ramen dish, too. Great filling food with prompt courteous service. We will be returning again to try other menu items! You do the same. Thank you.

Would give this place 3.5 if halves were allowed. Menu items are either a hit or miss but I find myself frequenting this place for their rice bowls. I like the pork katsu rice bowl with the veggie gravy on top. I’ve also tried the pork belly rice bowl but that wasn’t as good. The pork was cut too thick and was a bit too fatty for my taste. I’ve also tried the basil chicken. Good at first, but I noticed it’s extremely salty. They could go a bit easier on the seasoning for this.

I love this place for the vast selections on their menu, i’ve tried almost every type of food they have to offer and haven’t been disappointed once! Personal rice plates, family style Chinese/Taiwanese food, all so good, they even have numerous types of ramen bowls for the chilly days. I can randomly pick anything off the menu and have always enjoyed the meal to the point I finish everything on my plate, no matter how large the potions are, then leaving full and satisfied. If you’re not familiar with Taiwanese style food the owners are always more than willing to recommend you something that’s in season and tasty :) The problem with this restaurant it seems to always be short staffed, usually one waiter/waitress and an owner to help out with taking orders and running plates, which result in water not being refilled, no check up’s on your table, and possibly sitting and waiting for a longer time than preferred to get your check, unless you intentionally call them over, which can be a a pain to wait around for them a few times throughout your meal. Usually we don’t wait for them to come pick up the check since they’re busy minding all the other tables that we walk up to the register and wait on them. Still, the owners are extremely nice, they just need more attendants!

I’ve been hearing great things about Sapporo since they opened and I finally went to check it out for myself! The Ramen menu is all delicious, we tried the seafood ramen, spicy beef ramen, miso ramen, oh seriously everything is good here! We even tried some appetizers of fried potato parties and seaweed chicken. Try anything that sounds good on the menu — guaranteed it will taste just as good as it sounds! It’s clean, it’s fresh, and the customer service was really good! They have much more than ramen on the menu including Udon, Bento Boxes, Vegan options… If you like authentic ramen taste, try here. You will not be disappointed!!!

Even though the restaurant has a Japanese name with ramen in its title, Sapporo has very good Chinese food. I find myself eating lunch here with my girlfriend and her family fairly often. The salt and pepper calamari and XO fish are my personal favorites. While the food is good, the seasoning on it can be inconsistent. Sometimes it’s perfect, but at our last visit the calamari was definitely over-salted to the point where I had to eat it with rice.

Nice little place. I was hoping for more of a ramen centered restaurant but overall the place it nice, clean, and overall a good space. Their ramen was good and had a very solid broth. I would like to see a couple other toppings(fish cake, nori, ect) and I did not care for the cabbage. Noodles were well done and the bowl was served piping hot as it should be. I ordered there pork belly ramen and the servings of pork was HUGE for ramen. Pork was good, crisp with a good flavor, and a wonderful skin. The only thing I was hoping for and didn’t really get was tonkotsu ramen but they carry most of the major types. Overall a nice place I would go to it again, and this is coming from a gaijin ramen nut.

For a restaurant with the name Ramen in the title, you would imagine that this would be the center of their culinary menu. But not true with Sapparo… who specializes in a little bit of both Chinese and Japanese cuisine. The menu leans more towards traditional café Chinese fare… all of which are extremely well made and flavorful. Having said all that… I didn’t really venture to the Japanese side of their menu. All in all, for a city that lacks in Asian fare… this is a stop worth making as you get very authentic Chinese food in a suburbia setting.

A little Japanese place in a strip mall. The guy helping us was very nice and helpful. We had Miso Ramen, which was delicious, chicken udon, which was a little bland for our taste and the potstickers, which were very good again. We’re definitely coming back to try some more of the ramen.

It wasn’t the best but it’ll do. I came here 2x in a week during our Texas winter blast. It was convenient and less than a mile from where I live. The first visit, I had the pork belly ramen and had the seafood ramen the next visit. Both of which are good but not great. I wished for the egg to be more undercooked. At both times the eggs are well done.

The ramen here are all yammy. I almost try all the ramen and lots of other food. If you want try some special. You can call and order, the owner can cook lots of food like lobster sea cucumber…

I love this place. the ramen reminded me of my mother’s cooking. I enjoyed it. I got the miso ramen, my boyfriend got the shrimp tempura ramen, and out friend got the kimchi ramen. We all loved it. It was quick and the portions are a good size! I will be back! This location used to me a frozen yogurt place! Very easy to find.

I wanted to check out this joint because the area is just awesomeness with all the different asian restaurants around… and I was in the mood for some goor ramen noodle. I think when I came in they were actually closed but the owner acommodated me and allowed me to order and enjoy my lunch. I decided to have the pork belly ramen, which I thought was wonderful. It came with two nice thin cut of pork belly along with an egg cut in half, which is always a MUST! I thought it was delicious and the noodles were just the right texture. The broth was also good. The only complaint that I will note is that the restaurant though it looks clean smells like an old rag was used over and over again, like my laundry when I forget to put it in the dryer. Other then that, the food was good. And the owner was very nice.

Disappointing. I guess the Ramen is good, but cone on. It’s Ramen. Braised pork belly was horrible. Dry. Almost inedible. So far the hilight of the two trips is the cucumber salad. Next time I’ll just go to the food court by the jusgo. Much better.

If you have ever been to A Wok, which was on Parker and Independence, the same owners moved and started up Sapporo. My family was a huge fan of A Wok and was sad when the owners decided to close it up. However, once finding out about the new restaurant, we were all excited. Most reviews about this place are about the ramen, but my family and another family came here for the family style dishes. Everything we ordered was soooo good. That includes salt and pepper fish, salt and pepper meat, XO fish(XO is a kind of Chinese sauce… and that’s the best description I can tell you), water spinach, beef and scallion, and intestines. Yes, intestines sound gross but it’s really flavorful here minus an awkward large amount of whole garlics. On the downside, food took a very, very, very long time to come out, and there were only like 3 total other people in the restaurant, and they already got their food too. In addition, the portion size here for their dishes are much smaller compared to most Chinese restaurants, so this place could get expensive very quickly. We had to add 2 more dishes after ordering so much already because there was so little food on each plate.
